Funny enough the Test Version fixed my problem. Not sure what it was, but it fixed it. I booted it up and didn't crash. Go figure.

Call me crazy here... is there any possible way I could get my Sims 3 (without the expansion) to load if I put the framework into a fake WA directory setup?

I'm at my wits end here, and the only possible solution I can even think of is that AM won't work because I don't have the expansion.

I've tried updating all the mods, clearing cache files, reinstalling framework, doing this and doing that, etc.

No matter what AwesomeMod won't work properly for me this time around. I've never had issues prior, well... I'd have an occasional crash but I'd try again and it'd work.

But, I tired like 5 - 10 times and ways and I would always crash, the only times it'd boot up normally would be if I removed the package files from the mods and just loaded it vanilla.

I don't run any other mods so... I'm not sure what's going on.

Can anybody offer some assistance?

PS. This has NOTHING to do with 1 AM.

PPS. I don't have the expansion.

Sounds good. I like the concept for sure.

Let me just make sense of this here:

Whoever makes the most money AKA has the most raises, gets to be the top dog. If you're up for a promotion but don't make as much as the current top dog, you just get a raise instead. Whenever your income/pay beats out the top dog, you become the new top dog in your field?

I'm just curious about any additional details about these "top position showdowns/battles" and other boss/work related stuff that was mentioned in the latest build. There's no mention of toggles or if it's defaultly enabled or what. Hopefully I didn't overlook anything anywhere.

Sounds good. Also, the only reason I wanted to edit the XML was to change the default settings for some of the mod stuff, whether it's enabled or not. Is there some other settings file I can easily toggle or should I just download a customized version off the customization site?

I'm currently playing just about everyone in my entire town, and that's why it's such a big issue for me as the entire town is essentially sacred. I'll probably just download a custom version of the mod though, as it seems to be the easiest way to solve my issues. Smiley

Thanks for getting back to me though.

I need some clarification on

Quote
Allow NPC Work Performance Gain [Optional - Default: Enabled]
Sims not part of the active household continue to gain work performance
for going to work, and can therefore be promoted.

Does this apply even with story progression off, or only when it's on?

EDIT: Additional dumbness. How/where is the XML file you have to edit/tweak. Are we referring to something locally or when you download the file?

Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by this, but I think during all the Patch and Compatibility hubbub my question was overlooked.  Cry
