For the lazy d3dx9_31.dll is perfectly safe to keep in the bin folders, it causes no trouble. (it is just redundant).

Setting functions, for example the no F censoring, does not update the showconfig function, even though as far as I can tell, the settings are indeed working.

As a random guess that will more than likely be useless:

Is the dress like the simpack doll bug? Where it infected sim3packs made after it was downloaded to your game?

Yep four. I'm an idiot, my apologies.

I still don't know the Canada region number... but I guess I'll grab the worldwide/English patches.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Selfish Request - Patches? on: 2010 June 15, 01:00:04
I did 3 very stupid things.
  • I uninstalled sims 3 when it was working fine
  • I brought the discs home and now I don't have them
  • I also did not save the random patch updates that I downloaded

So I was wondering if anyone had a collection of the North American patches for sims3/expansions. Soon I will be back home and stuck on dial-up. So downloading those patches will hurt. So if anyone would do me a huge favor and give me a link to all of them, I would be really thankful.

Like I said, I brought this on myself, so if you want to yell at me go ahead. (I would join in if I could clone myself.)

Ah, I see, So they can not be used in a house. Sad. No torture chamber maninic for my town. Sad
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / How do you make the floor/wall traps work? on: 2009 November 30, 04:38:48
Any traps I try to make work seem to never go off, the sim disarms/walks right on by with no worries.

Or you cound not use the crapsure and get the installer replacement tool, and run the direct exe (for the game and updates) <_<
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch ponderings... on: 2009 August 01, 18:39:14
compare md5
patch data

More than likely there are no complete files in the patch, but just what needs to change between the files. So if the file is different, patching to destroy quite a bit.

Also the bookshelf is not a bookshelf, and does not have the collision data for a object that size.

The deco bookshelf has only one footprint under the middle section bracket. That's why the sim can run through it.

I guess footprint is the term for this?

Found objects!  Stylist Sims has a modern set of furniture available.  Link- http://www.stylistsims.net/sims3/objects_01.html . I have not tried it in game yet but I wanted to pass it along anyway.

Note that these look like they are for Sims 2 but they are not.  They are definitely Sims 3.

I am so happy to see this. Trying it out now, as this has made my eyes moist with excitement.

Trying them out myself, as soon as my dial-up collects them from the net.

Edit: Nice use of a custom logo to show it was downloaded. Smiley

Everything works in game, the chair/couch however default to brown coloring instead of black [like the thumbnail], so you have to recolor them yourself.

Why not just make them yourself with the new object tool?

http://www.simlogical.com/Sims3ToolsForum/index.php?PHPSESSID=da80bc33478cd9590e24958c616531de&board=20.0

Wes has made a new object already. It's on Mod the sims.

The patch installed fine here, left my mods alone, and fixed the > and >> buttons.

Happy Simmer I R.

Everything works but the cooking whatever you want thing.

It will not show "cook X" and "cook y" except for the default time cooking option. (Say cook lunch)
