One odd thing that I have noticed is that my Sim gets party invites and shows up at a reasonable hour, say 9pm, and the hosts are always in bed asleep! My Sim has had to do something inappropriate such as take a shower to wake up the host each time. How peculiar. I will have to look into quashing party invites from hosts which are not actually in a condition to host parties. Yes, I remember going to a party only to find the host was at work for the entire duration. There were still other guests there, however, and if I wasn't specifically looking for the host, I might not have even noticed he was missing.

A few of my vampire sims seem to be missing fangs, which is a minor annoyance. It seems that if you make a vampire using debug commands or if a sim is born a vampire, he or she won't have fangs. I've tested this with both custom and stock characters.

Is it just me, or is the new muscle slider in CAS defective on non-default skins? The enhanced normal mapping refuses to stick beyond CAS. I hope I'm just being naive and someone's already found a solution to this...
This is not just you. As of now, the new slider simply won't work for non-default skins. You can use default replacements or default skins only for the new slider.

Noticed another super-annoying issue. I can't make the muscle slider stick on custom sims in CAS. The effects vanish, and I can't make them come back. I have NO idea what's causing it. For a while I thought it was tied to custom eyebrows, but that isn't always the cause.
Are you referring to a new game and/or sim, or are you trying to edit through editsim? If you are entering CAS through editsim, then the sliders won't stick, this has always the case. This is the case normally, but if you use NRAAS master controller to edit the sim in CAS, all slider changing will stick.

I had this same problem. For me, the solution was using only default replacement skin tones (or just the default skin tones). Non-default skin tones won't work with the new slider for some reason. Once you switch skin tones, you may have to alter your sim's clothing to get the effects to come back.

Meditating is wonky now. It wasn't before I downloaded the latest version. (6/16 8:40), Though I last used the meditation action on the 14th. Sims can meditate (needs on static) for 34+ hours, and for some crazy reason, it only registers as two hours when you make them stop. I'd upload a save, but I'm using a custom world you probably don't want to download.
I've noticed such wonkiness long ago, back when WA was still new. I may or may not have been using AM at the time, but I'd wager it's an EA fuck-up. That's always a safe assumption.

So it is. Found this at MTS too: Originally Posted by J. M. Pescado Facial sliders must be core to function, but this feature is alreay included in AwesomeMod. However, they are not terribly useful for gameplay because the game will snap back those values to their "legal" range anytime a bodyshape update occurs. Because such sliders would not actually work in the long-term, and the fact that bodysliders are an XML deal and not core, this particular feature will not be added to AwesomeMod, as it would not function correctly. Probably why no one has bothered to make an xml of it. ETA: If you are determined, though, Drakah includes instructions in the readme that comes with his core sliders on how to create your own non-core. I haven't looked at it myself but this is his claim in the comments at MTS. Someone did. I didn't make it, nor do I remember who did. I got it off MTS a long time ago, and it's always worked for me. It's quirky, but not useless.

Are you saying you're sending two people into the past (or future) to TFB? How is it that the woman just forgot she was pregnant for about nine months a couple sim days, had a baby, and then abandoned it in the past (or future)?
This might make sense if you sent a lone man to go woohoo with a random woman in the past, but from what I'm reading, that's not what's happening.

Game goes completely silent after some time, like all options are on mute. System sound is normal, no mods. Anyone else experiences this?
I have, yes. It's happened before this EP too, but it seems more common now. The sound will occasionally come back, but it won't last for long before it goes silent again.

So,
I deleted my thumbnails and my cache files and I am having the following problem:
None of my CC that are in .package form are showing thumbnails in CAS. Its just an empty blue box. Anything from the store or in a sims3pack fomat is displaying correctly.
I'm hoping someone would have some idea of how to get the thumbnails to regenerate? I've booted up my game numerous times and they just don't appear.
Its very frustrating.

hmmm, I used the phantom staircase method and it works on my end. Anyone else having this problem? Although the stairs should be on the ground, not that high up, weird! I can upload just the lot itself to replace it.
What is the "phantom staircase method"? Maybe if I did it myself, it would work on my end.

I don't know if I'm just missing some CC or what, but I'm having a problem with floating stairs as seen here: This is "The Old Grain Silo" lot unmodified. I haven't yet checked if any other lots have the same problem, since I only installed it last night. Needless to say, the stairs don't work.

|

I have no idea how to do that, or even what a binary search is. This is probably beyond my capabilities.
A binary search is simple. You take half your CC out and check to see if the problem persists. Whatever the outcome is, you know which half is causing the problem. You keep doing this again and again, eliminating half of what's left every time, until you find the one that's causing the problem. It would go like this (rounded up) if you had 500 files to sort through: 500 250 125 63 32 16 8 4 2 1 <-- You know this one is the problem. ETA: Of course, you run into problems when more than one file is causing the same problem, but you can just repeat the procedure over again if that's the case.

I have a somewhat related question: is there any negative effect to having a relationship with an adventure-related sim? I quite liked the idea of my sim with the one who was giving me most of my Egypt quests, but I was unsure if removing him from Egypt would break that, or if another sim would take his place. Logic leans towards the latter, but you never can tell with EAxis.
I've no experience in the area, but I heard that once a quest giver dies, the quest is forever gone. I would assume that removing them from their original 'hood would have the same effect. It's probably safer just to leave them as is.

I think you can remove the pedophile trait, using droptrait. Oh, also, here's Pedobear's seal of approval.
You cannot drop the registered sex offender trait. Rather, if there's any way to do it, I don't know of it, and it most certainly wouldn't be built into AM.

Slap me with a trout if I'm being a 'tard, here, but I have a sim that I kicked out of my main house, who I originally thought may have left the neighborhood because she never showed up in a house anywhere (to her detriment, she only got about 2 grand when she left, so she could not afford property). She called her twin (who kicked her out originally!) so she apparently exists somewhere in the ether. Now she has a partner, Artie, but still they have no house in the 'hood that I can find.
So, my question is this: is she paired up and homeless? I've only kicked out a sim once before since installing AM and that sim moved in next door on her own (of course, she had more cash at the time).
I guess I didn't know they'd do that. If in fact that's what happened, I find it really funny. Also, if I'm so inclined, is there a way to find her and move her into a house, or is she perpetually lost in space? Just curious.
I seem to remember a "listhomeless" command, but I could just be brain farting. You should be able to invite the sim in question over using the phone, and then invite her to move in with you (with cheats if necessary). From there, you could just use the "Edit Town" method to move her in with someone else, regardless of how poor she is.

I have absolutely no problem with leaving just the basic framework with the base game files, then putting everything (including another copy of the framework) with the WA files. I've heard some things work when left with the base game, but other things won't. However, it seems that everything works when moved to the WA folder, so why not do that?
