I know I haven't been back in awhile, internet issuse, but the problem I was having is the same as Jessnova. I only have WA, and it downloads everything, but I can't pause it after the moving files line she caught, and after that it just closes. I tried it with the new update version, and it still runs and closes leaving nothing else opened. sorry if you fixed this and I don't understand how to make it work I really like this idea, I'm just too confused to make it work right

silly question to ask now, but do i have to have all the expansion packs for this? I ask because it finds my WA folder, but it closed when it reached the bottom just like the other one

it goes too fast at the very end for me to pause it, but i caught that it was saying something about moving the files. And if I can get the pause to work, but I'm sorry I don"t know how to screen capture
  I found where it dumps the downloaded files, but I can't tell that it opened them at all.. does knowing that help?

sorry I was unclear, I don't quote very often. I meant that I run the .bat and it runs thru and then closes the window and nothing else happens

An odd thing that I've noticed is that when I run the .bat - it only seems to run fps and then open the game IF it got to download an update.  Otherwise, it runs itself and then quickly closes after seeing that there's no new updates and I have to go manually click on fps or my game shortcut.

It's only mildly frustrating, but I wondered what might be causing this.
That's impossible. It works for me. Are you sure that's the case?

I seem to be having the same problem. I fixed the error 3 message I was getting, but now it runs and then closes itself

vital intelligence asset.

sorry, if I just read all that right the comment was rather funny.... I'm also coming off a third-shift waitress night so don't mind my missing mind. I'm just gonna go back to lurking mode now.  Grin

I have a Mac and my game is patched to 1.4.6.1  I keep trying to patch but it keeps telling me something is wrong. When I look at the Log it says this in red

Examining File : /Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin/Shaders_Win32.precomp  -> SHA1 Error

that is all that is in red, all that seems to be wrong

I also tried to patch my game, I don't have WA, and I get the invalid thing. It tells me to reinstall. My game was not loading cuz awesomemod was old, and now I can't patch the game up high enough to use awesomemod, and I can't use and older version of awesomemod. Is there something i did wrong? my game is a legal copy, but the thing is throwing a hissy fit. I have a Mac and install stuff the long way

OK, so I am not the best when it comes to making crap work, but I have a folder in my Sims 3 folder that says "Downloads" is this what the launcher eats and turns into fertilizer? Because what I see in mine has everything named like normal things. If I am just a dummy reading things inside out please don't be offended, I just seem to have an uncanny ability to find exactly what I am looking for, but have it turn out to be the wrong thing.
