Question for Pescado..
I was reading a thread about a Story Progression mod called Indie Stone, and in the thread, it was suggested that it might be possible to create a version of said mod that would be Awesomemod friendly. I'm wondering if you might consider at some point incorporating more Story Mode aspects into Awesomemod or is that just never going to happen? (The creator of that mod gave a reason as to why they wouldn't do it themselves but I forget what exactly it was)

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Crashing during Save = Eaten Neighborhood???
|

I have just recently started my neighborhood over due to a bug I had in the first one. I was saving my game so I could go into Edit Town and put some more affordable housing into the game and it crashed. I log back on and my neighborhood is gone. It says the name of the Saved neighborhood I had, but shows some family "Ramirez" and I can't play. I am using Supreme Commander but I haven't disabled it, uninstall and tried to play without it. I haven't been messing with files or anything. Anyone else experience something like this?

Yeah, they weren't the active family at the time of death. It was the Goths (in both instances). First time it was Gunther who died and I couldn't find the gravestone. Most recent time, it was Cornelia. Here's the kicker, though--both times I had Awesomemod, with all No BUS stuff enabled. This second time, Cornelia died like seconds after Gunther. I remember looking once and seeing that Gunther at the start of the game was much closer to being elderly than Cornelia, although both are adults. I can't be sure if the same is true in the most recent instance--if it is however, that would suggest that Cornelia suffered a BUS death which she shouldn't have, given the configurations I set for the mod.
I also haven't searched the Community Lots. I assumed (incorrectly I guess) that upon death, gravestones are placed within a few seconds directly into the Mausoleum. It's been a while so we'll see.

This sounds like expected EA behavior with Story Progression enabled. Unless you have the AwesomeMod and have configured it correctly, the game will arbitrarily remove your sims.
Yeah, I have Awesomemod and have all the "No Bus" stuff enabled, so I'm not sure what's up. I hate not having Cornelia Goth's gravestone in the little Goth cemetery. I'm debating making another Cornelia Goth and killing her but I'm not sure if that will mess stuff up.

Twice now, I've had Sims die and can not find their gravestones in the mausoleum. I've used multiple family members and friends look but to no avail. My findings searching on the net suggests that it's a glitch. Might anyone have a work around?

I fucked up my Sunset Valley by using debug mode to kill some fucked up "townie" toddlers. I want to keep my legacy family (if possible), so which of the following would be the least harmful? Moving the family and the house to the library and placing them in Riverview, or should I place them in a new Sunset Valley and destroyalltownies? I don't want Sim A meeting her grandfather as a kid, and so on.
I didn't see an answer to this and am curious, as I have the same issue. I absolutely despise Riverview so playing there isn't really an option for me. I want to save my family to the library, then delete the neighborhood and start fresh...my problem is the mother of my family is a grown up Bebe Hart (with a name change) so I am wondering if I should just evict the Hart family to the clipboard then delete them there? Or should I just debug kill the parents and evict/delete Bebe? Also, will placing this family in a fresh new hood potentially screw up my hood as they have friendships/relationships with people who won't exist in the new neighborhood yet? I'm also assuming I should probably remove the "Sacred" tag from them before I save them to the library...is this correct or am I being paranoid with that?

This is answered in the Awesome Mod thread:
You're a little tardy to the party. I did, infact, read, and researched on the boards. I wasn't aware of what he meant by "toadings", and I did do more than a few "advanced" searches on the board to see if it had been addressed in another thread... You know where to stick that sharp stick..have a lovely day, though

I didn't have any problems with the sound until I bought the game. I played the pirated one for about 9 days. But three days after getting the hard copy my radios and buy/build music stopped working. I uninstalled the EADM and magically all my music is back now. Not sure if it's just a coincidence or not.
I don't think that is it, as I uninstalled EADM a few days ago and it still happened. I think you're just lucky.

Have you noticed the odd living arrangements Storymode tends to create? In an attempt to fix a bug with the radio, I had to go from house to house to remove radios from households I am not playing, and I saw things like 4 and 5 people living in a one bedroom home.
I also am kicking myself for not disabling the BUS killings of Sims. One of the sims in my family has been chatting up this other sim for a while. She calls him up and asks him to meet at the park to hang out. She gets there and then I see the "Grady Effman has passed on, old age comes for every sim, blah blah.." message. Thing is..Grady wasn't elderly. I am not even sure if he was an adult, he could have been a YA. I removed his grave from the mausoleum in hopes of seeing him one night and finding out what happened to poor Grady.

I believe that another player (Nec?) discovered that if your neighbors have a stereo on, it can keep you from playing anything but Custom music on your own.
To zorch this, one way is start with the stereo at the Gazebo (if you have Riverview), remove it, and then check each household to remove the stereos from your non-playable family homes.
A pain in the ass.
My game, incidentally, doesn't have this issue. Yet.
Wow, that's some bug. I'm going to try your tip though and see what happens. I'll report back with my findings.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Broken Radio, anyone?

My radio at times does not play music while it's on. My sim will go over to the radio and turn it on. I see the animation it shows when turned on, but there is no sound at all.
This is something I've experienced in my game from time to time. It had been functioning well for a while but all of a sudden, it started back up again. I do not believe it's an issue involving mods or anything because I've had this happen during the fresh install, nothing added period. Am I missing something or is it broken as intended?

Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD & SCRIPT HACKS: CRASH ISSUES THREAD

The cause of the crash was because of some clothing that was downloaded from the exchange. It could explain some of the randomness of the crashing people are having, and could be entirely unrelated to the AwesomeMod itself. What I did to fix the crashing was run the launcher and uninstall some of the exchange items.
Hope this helps anyone that is having unexplained crashing problems.
David
I have Exchange stuff and the mod is running fine for me. It was mentioned in another thread that some of the stuff from the Sims store wasn't playing nice with the game itself. J.M Pescado has something found in this category, The Recompressor, which fixes the messed up files. You can try putting your Exchange stuff through that first then reinstalling it. It might work. Myself, I just run everything through that first then put it in my game to save myself the hassle.

Haven't found this to be the case. State specific example? Your cooking selection may simply be limited due to supply shortages or lack of skill.
How they are GROUPED is irrelevant.
My sim has reached level 10 in cooking, and ingredients for cooking wasn't the issue. What happened the first time I reported prior to clearing the cache was that cooking was behaving as it normally does, time defined (IE, have/serve breakfast menu popped when clicking on the fridge and when I selected have breakfast I couldn't make an autumn salad in the AM). After clearing the cache, the initial menu appeared when clicking on the fridge for have/serve lunch but when I clicked on have lunch, I had the option to make breakfast foods like pancakes and waffles, which was why in my edit I reported it as working and just a cosmetic issue.

It looks like there may be issues with certain features, at least in my game.
-The meals my sims can make are still determined by the time of day. -When working out, it seems my sims still automatically do basic mode (although I am noticing if I tab over to another sim then back to the sim exercising, then they're on "Don't Break A Sweat."
I have pulled out the awesome config and the script error packages and I am still encountering this issue, running on the defaults. Any advice?
Edit: Clearing the cache files seemed to do the trick for the cooking, although they are still grouped by the time of day, and the modified work-out issue is still the a Basic one unless you switch to another sim than go back. Just cosmetic issues though, apparently.

Alright, I've managed to make it into the game (well, it loaded and I'm at the choose a game screen) with Awesomemod for the first time, and I've been trying since last night.
What I've done was use the Install Helper from MTS that someone in this thread recommended for the framework build (resource.cfg). I also followed Jordi's recommendation and deleted these cache files from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3:
CASPartCache.package compositorCache.package scriptCache.package simCompositorCache.package
I installed enabledscripterror and the awesome config first, tested the game..it worked (yesterday my game wouldn't even start with enabledscripterror). For the awesome config I disabled all the BUS options. I then went ahead and installed Awesomemod itself and it appears to be working. I'm going to see if I can make it past the 1AM issue people seem to be having.
Edited to say: Using Windows XP Home Edition.
Edit Number Two: Made it past 1am with no problems. If I should crash again, I'll post. Hopefully these steps will help someone else.
