1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Sim stuck in France after honeymoon on: 2012 February 22, 04:44:53
I've searched for every wording of this problem I could think of, but I haven't found any answers. Two of my sims got married and rolled wants to go on vacation in France for their honeymoon. I sent them home early after an uneventful two days, and when the home neighborhood reloaded, one sim was missing. Upon looking at his wife's relationship panel, it behaved as if he was still a foreign visitor. The first thing I tried was to invite him over as a foreign visitor and then add him to the family via the testing cheats. When I did that, he maintained all of his relationships and skills, but his celebrity status/memories/work status/inventory had been completely wiped. Luckily, I was able to reload the previous save - on their first day in France. However, I'd like to prevent this from happening again so that I can actually get them home without the guy being kidnapped by what I assume is the sim version of the French Foreign Legion.

I'm running a clean game with the exception of Awesomemod. Any ideas/reasons why this might be happening?

Started up my game for the first time, and my family was corrupted.

Great job, EAxis!

So I sent my sim and her ex to Egypt and they couldn't break up, even when I made the ex a romantic interest again and then asked to be friends. Clearly something is amiss.

And no, Foreign Sim cannot ask her to break up either.

For the record, the only non-vanilla thing I have in my game are AM and some custom hairs.

I just sent the foreign sim (who now lives in my household) and my sim to travel to all three locations just to make sure that the foreign sim displayed that he was single there as well. He does, and my sim still registers as still dating her ex-gf. So I'm pretty sure that the problem lies with my sim, not the foreign one.

I'm going to move in her ex-gf, then send them on vacation and see if I can get them to 'break up'.

For those who got engaged while on vacation: Did those sims have any previous committed relationships before getting engaged to a foreign sim? I mean going steady, previously engaged/married.

So I tried asking the foreign guy to move in with my sim while she was on vacation in France, and when he did, I checked his relationship panel when he was selected, and it said that my sim was still 'dating' her teenage ex-girlfriend, even though I made them break up and then did Ask To Just Be Friends on the ex. When they returned to the main neighborhood together, she stopped displaying that the ex was her current partner, but I still can't propose either way. I invited the ex over, but there are no options for breaking up or anything related to that...which makes sense since she's not actually 'dating' her while she's at home. So it looks like I had that same bug after all. Undecided

Is there a way I can fix this or 'break up' with the ex?

Okay, I'm just about at the end of my rope with this. I've looked everywhere for an answer to this, and I'm still not any closer to figuring out what the deal is with this.

For some reason, I can't propose to any foreign sims or get any farther than romantic interest. I have AM installed, and I've tried to get engaged to the foreign sim both when they're visiting and when they're a member of the household. I don't think it's the same bug that other people have reported where sims are randomly engaged to other people: none of the sims I've tested this with have shown that they have a partner in the family tree or if asked if they're single.

Is it by design that foreign sims cannot be married/engaged/etc etc, or is this another EAxian bug?

Huh. Right on the money, Pescado, although I'm not at all surprised. It was indeed a random bed side fix that for some reason I believed I needed. Thanks much.

So yesterday I started having issues getting my sims to sleep, as they keep jumping out. Ran a hack conflict, removed Wants & Fears Sanity (although I can't imagine why that would break sleeping...), and no change.

Most recent errror log attached.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Aging Problems in Strangetown on: 2006 June 05, 03:27:24
I know this is a problem other people have had, but I don't remember what was said to them. A few of the Maxis-created sims in Strangetown (General Buzz, PT #9 and Loki Beaker, but there might be some others) aren't ageing properly. Every day at 6 P.M it says that they'll grow up in one day, but they don't actually age.

Is there some way in SimPE to fix this with minimal usage of the binary and the hexadecimal and the other assorted scary numbers?

muchos thanks, I finally got boolprop to work. Smiley
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Grim Reaper Outfit on: 2006 June 01, 07:56:45
For some reason, boolprop never works for me. Perhaps I suck at doing stuff.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Grim Reaper Outfit on: 2006 June 01, 07:51:07
So I'd like to have the Grim Reaper outfit for a story I'm working on, but I have absolutely no idea how to unlock it so it can be used in CAS. Does anyone know where to find it for download? I checked MTS2, but their search engine fills me with a terrible rage.

Help please.

edit: typo fix

I've been having a similar problem when there is more than one kid on the bus. The first kid gets off the bus fine and lays his homework down, but the other kids jump, and have no homework objects.
