If you double-click on the original cider file, inside the The Sims 3.app, does it starts? If it doesn't, there's something wrong with your installation; if it does, then the problem is in the alias.Oh, well
I have the same issue that person did, but it doesn't start working. When I click the cider original file, it starts briefly in the dock, the terminal comes up, but then the sims 3 disappears.
For what its worth, the text in the terminal says something about "could not retrieve the module file name (reason: 'bad module')"
Also, I doubt I have a bad download as I'm using the exact same download to run the programme on windows on my PC. It's just I have to put all the graphics on superlow as its a bad PC. I wish I could run it on my Mac :/
