They all look like Southern US hairstyles to me. I could never use them...I have really thin, slick hair which is even worse since I suffered some follicle damage in a fire seven years ago. Those things would hurt like hell. Most barrettes just fall right through.
I live in the Southern US and I don't see hairstyles like that on a normal basis. My sister occasionally teases her hair to get it to bump a little bit, but my hair is too thin to make them work right and teasing my hair causes too much damage.

So if you were to only eat say 2 apples which would up the chances for boy but not have it at 100% would it be possible in that senario to get 2 girls and 1 boy?
And if the doctor check is only to determine baby #1, then why when there are no influences are all other babies the same gender? This has to have more influence that can be seen.

I also have no problem with using launcher for sims3pack files -- the one thing I can think of is that I have the EA store digital download version (which has a slightly different launcher .exe i believe). Wonder if the people having trouble are DVD users...
Another negative. I have my DVD game installed on my laptop and my desktop and neither of them have to have the mods folder removed to install via the launcher.

Hmm. Thank you for that information. Now to test the theory of 50%. Good to know that if I happen to want a girl and a boy there is a way to do so.
I would assume then that the same rules apply to triplets except the second two would wind up being the food-influenced gender instead of just one?

I can install sims3packs just fine with mods in my mods folder.
I can't. If I need to use the Launcher to install sims3packs, I have to remove my mods folder or else it won't work. I didn't think that could possibly be the reason the launcher wasn't working for me, but this was the only solution that worked. I wish that it weren't the case, but there you have it. The problem is using the launcher to directly install Sims3Packs. I have success if I go directly to the download folder and double-click the file. Let it install normally. Yes the launcher is used, but not directly. I can't get a Sims3Pack to install with the launcher install button. I still call voodoo on that since I can install directly from the launcher install button without doing anything strange to get it to work and I have a mods folder in with plenty of downloads in it.

Would it be possible to test whether the doctor testing and then eating apples/watermelons affects the status of twins/triplets. There have been reports that if a woman is having twins and has a doctor determine gender as "girl" then she eats apples, she winds up having boy/girl twins.

For pregnancy, I'm not sure since I have neglected a sim and she was hungry most of her pregnancy, but still got to choose both traits for the baby. She was however in the bubble the whole pregnancy, so maybe that does have more of a factor.
Toddlers I have always gotten to choose the trait. I make sure they get taught to walk/talk/potty and I keep a radio in most of the rooms in the house and have a teddy bear in their inventory and they seem to stay in the bubble most of the time too. So once again, maybe mood does have a factor in it. Especially since I alternate between parents and grandparents to help with leanring skills and I hardly ever pull out a pegbox. Sometimes I pull out the children's books though.

Mine does that too, but I've learned to hold down the right button on the mouse and you can edgescroll. It took me a little bit of time to get used to it, but now I catch myself even doing it in fullscreen.
I have noticed that the game is slower and does look less smooth in windowed mode, but when I take pictures it seems to look the same. Not sure how that is possible.

I keep my pregnant Sims in dresses. What do you do to control their wardrobe? I plan plenty of maternity freindly outfits beforehand hoping the sim will use them instead - but each and every time, it lands me with this randomy generated crap. It's great if it's the dress, but I get the jogging suit more often than not. My sims either keep a part (or all) of their pre-pregnancy outfit if it's one of the pieces of clothing with pregnancy morphs, or they switch into an outfit that's sort of similar to what they were wearing. The ones that were wearing pants switch to a pair of pants, the ones wearing a dress to another dress. I don't have access to my game screenshots at the moment, but I can post some pictures later on. Among the pieces of clothing that do have pregancy morphs are the T-shirt-over-a-long-sleeved shirt top, the skinny jeans, the jogging pants (and the matching top), and the spaghetti strap dress, at least. If you dress your sims in those before they switch to their pregnancy clothing, they should keep that same outfit during the pregnancy, also. But the skinny jeans and the jogging pants will not have the pregnancy morph, just the shirt.

Sims can woohoo while standing up? How does one trigger such a thing normally? I have never seen this.
The option to woohoo is available as part of the conversation tree (while the Sims are standing), as opposed to only available when in bed. I'm with Pes, I have never seen this option in game, and I've had my sims stand there for hours romancing each other.

"testingcheatsenabled true" is not AwesomeMod, it's EAxis. AwesomeMod's syntax is "setconfig enabledebugcommands <on/off/true/false/etc>".
Ah thank you. I was missing the "setconfig" part. After I enabled that I was able to successfully use "runstoryaction Create Household".

I just read through this thread and read the options about "runstoryaction Create Household". However, when I just tried it in game, I got the error that runstoryaction is an unknown action. I know for sure that Awesomemod is working because showconfig and maxmotives both work.
Am I doing something wrong or was it disabled in the latest version?

There are also methods of influencing gender based on the acidity. We learned about it in my child development class in college a few years ago. One gender survives better in a more acidic environment than the other. Therefore if you can increase the acidity or lower the acidity, you have more of a chance of those sperm surviving. It is a small chance though. Nothing near what the game does with the apples and watermelon.
