This bug happens to me, too. My game doesn't freeze at all, the clock moves and the music plays. It's only my sims that freeze up. Especially when they're going through doors/gates. It makes them late for work every day.
They get stuck sometimes entering/exiting their work buildings that causes a traffic jam of every sim in my town standing outside buildings.

Well my game has become unplayable. Things have gotten worse every day since the patch.
Every sim with a job in my neighborhood is currently stuck outside their workplaces. I went through an reset each of them individually, and it happened against the next day.
They've started freezing up while they walk, especially going through doors and gates. Once they finally get to work (late because they stopped and froze for 2 hours on the way) they just stop outside the door stare at it.
I guess I'll remove all of my mods and see what happens, but I haven't added any since the patch and things break more every day.

Speaking of the criminal career, I'm trying to have a town where everyone is either a criminal or a cop.
I deleted all the other rabbit-holes... that just makes nobody able to go to work, but they still join the other careers.
I assume it would take a mod to remove careers altogether?

Nope.
I did clear all of my caches, and have quite a bit of CC like skin, hairs, clothes, etc. So I thought maybe it was just taking a while to reload all that stuff.
But I left it going for well over an hour and it just kept swirling the loading screen.
EDIT: Well it works fine now. Just decided to be wonky randomly.

Well if you're hump humping, you're beyond the confess attraction part. I get the confess attraction option before the first kiss.
Be friendly until they're best friends with a full bar. Then do first kiss, then regular kiss, then you can pretty much propose.

he's been standing here with no hygiene, fun, or social for a good week in-game. he has full red mood with all negative moodlets. i keep his hunger and energy up a little so he doesn't die that way. leads me to believe there's no general death by bad mood/stress.

Ugh--I just went into the game to check electrocution for myself, but the lack of testingcheatsenabled object-breaking functions frustrated me.
Does anyone know if Death by Flies/ghost fright are obsolete?
the hygiene bar will be my next test. i'll edit if i get any results. edit: he's been standing there with 0 hygiene for about 3 game days. nothing has happened. i think the intended punishment for this is that nobody will talk to him.

Something I haven't seen mentioned yet... maids are recurring for me, no matter which household it is. I can call them once and they'll come, but after that they don't come again until I call them. Newspapers pile up for a week.
They worked at first, but over the course of the hours I've put into the neighborhood they've become borked.
