TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Generations: What Sucks, What's Fucked, and What Did EA Get Right by Utter Luck

It's nice to see they put no effort whatsoever into the bachelor/ette parties. (and most other features) Remember the cake dancers from TS1? Would of been nice to see something like that or better. Instead we get two fucking puddings doing the shitty shuffle dance.
Oh, recycled pillow fighting!!
This pack would more appropriately suit the name of: The Sims 3: Playgrounds and underwhelming shite. Generations fucking sucks. I think I'm about done with this franchise altogether.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Neverending Pause
|
on: 2010 July 21, 20:55:06

Well today I spotted and fixed my damn pausing issue!
My pauses were inconsistent and lasted for 1-20 seconds every 15 seconds or so (while the trees continued to sway). Turns out it was nothing to do with memory, as far as I could tell. It was the simulation itself freezing whenever a Sim on one particular lot tried to leave that lot though an action such as 'Go to work' or 'Go to the Gym'.
This paticular lot was downloaded from MTS, and I placed it by firstly creating new empty lots using Edit World. It appears any Sim living here could not leave the lot at all. There were no obstructions, however the lot was slightly raised up from the sidewalk. I noticed the occupant of the lot being rather idle so I decided to visit the lot with my active Sim and then click on the 'Go Home' button on his portait icon. The game immediately froze for 1 second and then resumed when that Sim displayed the 'I'm stuck' thought bubble. I repeated this and at every time the game froze.
Deleting this lot completely fixed the issue. I do hope this can shed some light on the problem. The only way I can think of pin pointing this in your world would be to visit every lot and then click 'Go Home'
Good luck!

I see.. I never noticed the weather changing in Sunset Valley before, the sky looked exactly the same every day and night to me. Since playing in Twinbrook though the effects seem to have become more obvious, which is awesome. All I need now is rain and snow :]

Claeric, I noticed the city on the horizon, too. It looks pretty cool at night with the aura of city lights glowing over the hills. I, too, love most of the hair, especially the short cuts for men. STYLISH STRAIGHT MEN!
I'm not sure if anybody noticed this, and I'm unsure whether it is just happening in Twinbrook or all towns but THE CLIMATE CHANGES THROUGHOUT THE DAY! The pattern seems to vary every day. For example, the morning was clear and sunny, then the rest of the day was cloudy and dull, the sunset was beautiful and clear, then the night sky switched to foggy and cloudy. The next day the night sky was clear and starry. Before Ambitions, the sky was always the same at night and day, with the exception of locations abroad. Speaking of abroad, the game loads the locations about 4 times faster for me.
Hate to say it; EAxis has actually impressed me this time.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bugs in WA

I was enjoying WA until I suddenly realised the whole purpose of the game was glithed. I'm currenly playing the first mission in Egypt, 'Tomb of Discovery', and I must retrieve some papers for a Sim. Done that, I opened the 'shiny' treasure chest in the tomb and took the papers but the chest is still glowing as if I haven't taken the key item and the game has not registered the action, so the mission brief still states that I must find the god damn papers. I HAVE THEM ALREADY!
Any workaround? Am I missing something? My Sim is running around with the item he needs but there is absolutely no option to progress in this quest. And I can't help but notice since I installed WA my active Sim literally RUNS AROUND EVERYWHERE! i.e does not walk.

I've had the Awesome Story Driver enabled for a while but I've never seen any messages about story actions, like "Sim A married Sim B". Do I need to enable a setting in the config file? 'InformOnStoryAction' doesn't seem to work either.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What did you do with the Wolff family?
|
on: 2009 July 11, 20:49:25

My self Sim seduced Thornton Wolff into having a quick gay love affair and convinced him to break up with his wife. Shortly after that my Sim proceeded to pay a visit to the ex-wife to ask her "are you single?" which swiftly resulted in the declaration of Nemesis. Thornton, realizing his true sexuality, moved out and became housemates with crazy fag-hag, Agnes Crumplebottom. They are both dead now.
The Thorntons had a daughter before all this happened. She is sleeping with my Sim's son.

I'd just like to report a possible problem I've found. I have No Random Merges, Evictions and Additions enabled, and I noticed a household consisting of 2 adult males left their rather large house and merged with another 2 person household, making it a 4 person household. This new house they moved in to is tiny, with 1 double bed, and the sims are all strangers to each other. Is No Random Merges working fine for everyone else?

Couldn't edit post for some reason.
I know the game calculates a profit over the last 5 business days. My sim has run the business every day for about 3 seasons and the profit is now over 40k a day. at home she has waiting 3 sim days and recieved nothing.

Okay, I've been googling this for days and found that nobody else shares my frustration.
I have a business with numerous employees and a manager. The whole point I hired a manager was so my sim can sit on her arse at home and get rich and fat but she doesn't recieve ANY MONEY at mid night like she is supposed to. there is no pop-up. nothing. The business acts like nobody is running it when she is at home but when I 'check in on business' the manager is like "why are you checking in again!!!1/1/"
I've tried a few things, including removing all custom content, same thing. And I only use minor hacks like commskilling and dontwaveatme
