TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What 5 Buy Mode objects would you like Modders to make first?

I'd like a bathtub with shower and curtain, like the most expensive in TS2 (the less expensive was ugly). Things other people said I very much agree: Spiral stairs Customizable stairs/fences The free standing shower from Uni Bunk beds More houseplants (and bigger) (and taller) The portable easel The piano Bottles: I miss the VW Beetle too. It was my favourite download from MTS and half my sims in TS2 were Beetle drivers (I never had one, instead I drove one of these).

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Grampa's losing it a little

As soon as my sim hit elder, he suddenly got a wish to see his daughter married. The only problem- she's already married. The guy has a good relationship with the parents, so I don't know where this is coming from. But then it got weirder. Grampa suddenly got a wish for his adult son to get on the honor roll. I just deleted the wishes. Is this something I should be worried about, or is it just a little programming hiccup?
Now that I think about it my elder sims keep wishing to have a baby… One of them actually wishes to have a baby and become a grandparent… and he hates children. I love sim-senility.

Yesterday I had no saving errors. I have aging on and story progression off, so my sims are dying and new sims are only born if I say so. I'm trying to keep it balanced although I don't like the premade sims and tend to kill groups of them once in a while (when I'm bored). So I have less population than I had before.
That file size thing does not make sense to me… unless you have story progression off and aging off, the town is always the same size or smaller… yes, sims are born, but sims also die. Yes, new houses are built, but there's a limited number of lots to build…
Unless genealogical trees are as heavy as memories were in TS2… is it possible?
Also I've been thinking if saving all sorts of patterns and customized objects doesn't slow the game or creates other issues… I'm not doing it, I don't find it necessary, but can't help thinking about it because of the amazing quantity of stuff with no interest for download in the official site. Someone makes blue a pattern that originally was yellow and that's it - saves and shares it right away.

I hate the roofing anyway. We have less directional roofs if you look at the options, and again are missing individually adjustable roof heights. Hi! I've been searching for this. So it's not just me missing some check box under roof tools... the roof-height slider in TS3 is really worst than it was in TS2's Mansion & Garden! I can't believe it... are EA people crazy? One of the most useful tools and they had to mess it up. Why?

Yes, I believe it is/was related to the medical career.
At first my biggest concern was "Will this guy appear forever in my sim's genealogical tree?" When I figured out he only appeared when my sim was working I thought I would make her quit her job a few days before she die (so he wouldn't be in her tree). But then she became an elder and the guy vanished… and she's still a world renowned surgeon. But he's no longer there when she goes to work.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: They can autonomously cheat.

Hello
I am fed up with losing my sim's husband with his constant autonomous cheating.
He is Jon Lesson in Riverview. His traits are Artistic, Hopeless romantic, Charismatic, Virtuoso and Great Kisser.
Now why on earth does he autonomously flirt with all and sundry (all ages and gender, mostly with incompatible traits) when he has a wife who shares 4 out the 5 traits with him and a very high relationship and a new born son taboot ? Since when cheating makes sense? Since when cheating has anything to do - exclusively - with traits? Do you really believe that identical persons or very similar persons get along better than different ones? Only self centered folks fall in love with versions of themselves. How boring it must be. And they could do it before, sims could cheat autonomously in TS2.

How often are you saving? This has happened to me (the error and inability to save, not the crashing), but only after I forgot to save my game for a really, really long time. In that case, it was a memory issue, not a bug.
Hi. Can't be that, because I save often and also have that problem (without the crash, just the inability to save). I save every 15 minutes or every 30 minutes. But I did notice the error occurs when I've been playing for more than 3 or 4 hours… never in the first hours. At least, until now.

Four days ago I started getting Error codes 12 and 13. I know how to fix the problem when it arises: Just erase the .bad file and restart the game. But they're popping up left and right making it very hard to enjoy the game. I can't save.
And just recently, (starting last night), I've been experiencing crashes along with the error codes.
So, I did some research and I found out that The Sims 3 sytem requirement page does not mention my operating system which is Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.
And I got thinking that maybe the problems I'm having with The Sims 3 is related to a compatibility problem. Does anyone know if this is correct? I tried running in compatibility mode but it's not working.
Someone mentioned I wait until another patch is released. And they also suggested I re-install the game. But other reports tell me that re-installing did absolutely nothing for their problems. (They're problems are identical to mine.)
I had AwesomeMod installed but I removed it thinking that maybe it was the cause of my qualms. But that's not the case because the problems returned today.
I was referred here to ask for help. I would appreciate any solutions to these issues.
Thanks.
I started having "unexpected error while saving" a couple of days ago and that also creates a .bad file in my saves folder, where the backup file should be - my game won't crash, but it won't save either and that looks as bad as crashing to me, as I'm force to quit... my operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. What I'm doing to avoid losing a lot of info is saving a lot often… but it's annoying the same way… when "unexpected error while saving" occurs I just quit, delete the bad file from the saves folder and play again. The error says "look at the readme file for more information" or something like this… I searched for it in both program files and my documents Electronic Arts folders but can't find anything related or with the time and date of the error/s.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Things you DO like...

So, there's a lot of negativity about Sims 3 so far in the community. So, I thought I'd make a post where we all share what we DO actually like about the game. I like: -The UI -The Sims themselves -How the neighborhood gives a really community-like feel -Jobs and opportunities add a lot -That virtual simulator thing -The objects that are actually new There's more, but gah, the list will extend to uranus( ) if I add much more. So, what do you like? It's not negativity. I like CAST and aging on (they actually die if I forget about them :>) But I absolutely hate not being able to build my own neighbourhoods and not being able to customize stairs and fences. Specially the neighbourhoods. I'm a SimCity person, that was what made me play the Sims in the first place… if you can't build your own worlds, what's the point?

This is Jared Marley. This is not Jared Marley. Anyone else seen something like this, or know how to fix it? Every sim who knows Jared has him show up like this in their panel or when they have a thought bubble about him. As far as I know, this fake Jared does not even exist, or I've never seen him at least. I had this guy showing up in my game too. Not all the time, only when my sim - a woman - was working at the hospital and only after she made it to world renowned surgeon.
