My calculations say that the theoretical maximum with all EPs breaks down as follows:
LTWs: 20 Best Friends 20 Pet Best Friends 7 Maxed Skills 20 Lovers 20 WooHoos 50 First Dates 50 Dream Dates 5 Maxed Businesses Earn $100,000 Eat 200 Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Total: 10
Badges: Cashiering Cosmetology Fishing Floristry Gardening Robotery Pottery Restocking Sales Sewing Toycrafting
Total: 11
10 LTWs plus 11 badges plus 10 enthusiasms plus the five one-point bonuses makes 36.
This challenge looks difficult-tedious but not difficult-challenging; I don't think I'll try it out.

Oh, no. We're still totally a society of capitalistic democracy over here. Our current president just happens to believe in a federally organized and maintained compulsory health care system. That the top 10% should have to pay more in taxes because they have the temerity to earn more that the herd of shepul who pass for your average American these days. Let's not forget part of that process is the federal government determining whom is in said 10%, how much more they should have to pay, and taking it from them to fund 'social programs' to benefit the shepul. No, no, that does not sound at all like 'from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs'.
It sounds like the National Health Service in the United Kingdom. In the recent local and European elections, the party that dominated the United Kingdom was the Conservative party, a mostly socially-conservative, economically right-wing, establishment-supporting party. Despite its right-wing credentials, the Conservative party wouldn't dream of trying to abolish the NHS; that would be seen as electoral suicide over here. Socialism? You guys aren't even close. (As a side note, I am told that the UK government actually pays less per person on health care than the US government does. Make of that what you will.)

Ok. Noob here.
If I have all EP's. Should I download simply the AL version to cover all EP's or should I download all of the Director's Cuts?
You only need to download one version, and it's the version for whatever the most recent expansion pack you have is. So in this case, just the AL version.

Yes, exactly what they are doing with the SimsStore... making us pay for Sims stuff! That should be free... I rekon the reason they are doing the SimsStore is because the saw what places like TSR was doing... and thought, "Woo, we can make even more money from these little kid's parent's creditcards" Correct?
The difference is that EA has the right to do this: it makes the game, has all the legal rights over the game, and is at liberty to dispense its own custom content at whatever prices it sees fit. T$R has no such right, and its actions violate the EULA.

EA claiming to have lost $9million due to "pirates"
"The current number of illegal downloads of "The Sims 3" suggests lost retail sales of $9 million to date, based on the $49.99 starting price."
God, it's annoying when people do that. That's not the value of the lost retail sales, it's the total sale value of the pirated copies. They have no reason to assume each of those pirated copies is one that would otherwise be a sale.

The more I think about it, the more it's beginning to piss me off. This doesn't seem like progress to me. Maybe that's why they made it a "prequal". They want to give you LESS choices than the original Sims game. That would be fewer choices. Plural nouns take fewer; non-count nouns take less. Also note the spelling of prequel.

ETA: Well I updated all my awesome hacks and tested out the debugger again just in case I missed updating one when I installed AL. The debugger still wouldn't give me any job LTWs except FT ones. I removed the ltwvariety hack and the debugger works fine again.
That's probably ltwvariety working as intended, then. It gives sims fewer LTW options by design.
