TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sims 4 Annoyance & Problem Thread.

I've been playing quite a lot since release. These are the things I'd like to see modded:
1. Plumbing breaks much too frequently, even after objects have been upgraded for less breakage. EDIT: Someone on MTS has made a mod for this. 2. No ADHD. Seriously, I love the multitasking feature, but sometimes I just want Sims to sit the fuck down and concentrate on the task at hand. Also, you really don't need to take your breakfast into the bathroom to chat with your Mom when she's on the toilet, you sicko. 3. Slower motive decay while sleeping. All Sims are afflicted with over-active bladder and have the metabolisms of gerbils on crack. I would like them to JUST SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT ALREADY. Having said that, though, it comes in handy to have them be the only one awake at night, ie kids and teens will DO THEIR HOMEWORK ALREADY without trying to chat with every Sim on the lot. 4. Less stalking. Dude, I know we're friends and all, but do you honestly need to show up on the doorstep like 5 times in a single day? 5. Maids wear uniforms and LEAVE ALREADY when finished cleaning. Also, no maid "showing up" at 3 AM while you're at the club and not actually cleaning everything. 6. Sim gets job at 3 PM on Thursday. The job has 9-5 hours on Friday, but the game makes me wait until MONDAY before the Sim can go to work.

Reggikko - If you've got the demo maybe you can address some L&P that I'm more interested in - what does EA force you to install along with the 'game'? What kind of weird little back doors and spyware am I going to have to be wary of?
To get the demo I had to install Origin. AFAIK, you do not have to connect to or install Origin to play the game if you buy it on disc, but you would if you wanted to access the Gallery. As far as spyware, etc, I really have no idea. I think there is a discussion going on on Mod the Sims that Inge and others are participating in. Maybe they would know?

P.S. Is anyone going to help reggiko edit the private school bill amount? Or are we all going to continue sitting here debating who's right and how clever we are on an issue that's been long since resolved by not-anyone-here? Oh.
Word. Either Pescado is annoyed with me for retiring from the Senate or he thinks even if he 'splains it, I am not awesome enough to follow instructions. I am fairly certain it must be a straightforward change, but nothing in the tuning gives me any hints. Oh, most likely your second option.

Did you make this neighborhood yourself? You avoided all the verbotten stuff like DAC w/o a cleanup of SWAFs, lotbinning, dicking around with untouchable NPCs? The only thing I can think of is run the Neighborhood Corruption Detector (available at MTS2) and see if it says anything worth note.
Since Sara is the original creator of the clean templates, I would bet not. I have my game open now. I'll summon a few NPCs and have a look. EDIT: This tells you exactly nothing, but I was curious. I summoned all of my Hobby leaders and no one had memories they shouldn't.

If you have the Sim Blender, I think if you use it to remove skills and then add them back, that might unstick it. I seem to remember having to do that once. Alternately, if you play with testing cheats on, you can just drag the skill bars down, but you have to add them back with the blender or college adjuster.

They're very glompy over there, Regg. And their de facto leader looks to be a furry who thinks wolves have horns. The mere presence of an MATYian over there is like a declaration of WOAR, apparently.
Well, we are all 12's, after all. We apparently have nothing better to do than to troll Simbology since we are on break.

I also backed up the files to my Box.net account. (Oops! Sorry for trolling!)
Since Jeff said he didn't care who did what with his files, I hardly see how a mere announcement that the files had been backed up and stored somewhere is trolling.

To keep the Pleasantview townies from populating a clean neighborhood, you need to go into your program files and rename N001 to N001_bak. For completely clean Maxis neighborhoods, look in the Peasantry for clean templates. To keep ugly NPCs from generating, go to Mod the Sims and download some face templates you like. These will replace the Maxis faces.
Yes, but this was about TS3, not TS2. Oh, geez. Tired posting is FAIL.

Okay. Enough is enough. Stop with the necromancy. Stop. Seriously. In two days, I have clicked on at least four threads that were necromanced. We are courting a ZOMGzombie apocalypse. Will no one think of the children?

It seems like it is the AL buyable mailbox. What threw me off is that it worked in a clean game. I think that if the mod goes in before the mailbox, it will continue to work. If the mailbox is already there, it won't. That's the only reasonable explanation I can come up with. I need to go to bed and stop fooling around with this. I might test out my hypothesis later. Or not.

Yep. I deleted all .cache files and the Neighborhood manager. I'm still completely puzzled. It's like something is embedded in my game somewhere that I can't see, but is interfering somehow.
