Thankyouthankyouthankyou!  I've put off playing BV after the first few days when I realized the tour guides were screwing up the entire game.  Doesn anyone know if this affects the ninjas, too?  I know I have at least 2 ninjas...

Yes, I experienced this.  Cured it by removing the phone hacks, which don't seem to interfere with anything except the payphones on vacation lots...

I downloaded a starter home and discovered that everyone who lives or visits there eventually spontaneously combusts, and not always in the same place.  Sometimes in the living room, bathroom, outside by car, in the new greenhouse I built, etc.  I put up smoke alarms in every room and outside, and they are all constantly going off.  The fire department arrives but then leaves as no fire is visible (unless of course a sim is on fire at the time...)

So anyway, I assumed there was some cute hacked object that I downloaded with the house but I can't find it!  I've moved everyone out, gone in and torn the house down brick by brick and removed EVERYTHING that was visible on the lot, and rebuilt from the ground up--and the next sim I moved in caught fire even before the visitors arrived to greet her!

Anybody have any idea what could be causing this?   

I have the same problem with the status bar on one of my students--makes it look like she needs three more skill points this semester.  Changing the lot she's on doesn't help.  FWIW, she is my first sim born post-Seasons installation.  My other pre-Seasons uni students don't have this problem.  (They have other problems...like the fatal inventory glitch I reported earlier today...)

One of my pre-Seasons uni students went to college with stuff in inventory including some custom (but not hack) items.  Although he is still playable after installing Seasons, whenever I try to click on anything in his inventory, my game crashes to desktop.

Here's what I've already tried:

-Deleting from the dowloads folder the custom items that (I think I remember) he had in inventory.
-Disabling custom content altogether.
-Killing him off and resurrecting him from the secret society.

Nothing has worked...Is he hopeless?
