1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Can't update TS3 base game from 1.3.24 to 1.4.6 on: 2011 September 04, 01:20:00
So, after searching Google and coming up with the same information, none of which is working, I've been faced with an issue with updating my game.

I've uninstalled and re-installed twice, the updated from the original to 1.2.7, then to 1.3.24, only to be met with the same error, that being the 'Invalid File Found' error when attempting to update my game from 1.3.24 to 1.4.6. Yes, it is a pirated version of the game, and like an idiot, I forgot to save the original versions of the .exe and the TSLhost.dll file to my computer before installing the first update.

According to The Sims 3 Patch Log Viewer, the TSLhost.dll file is the one that is invalid, and so I have a couple of questions. If I were to replace that, would I replace it with the same file from the original game, pre-updating? Or would I replace it with the file from 1.3.24? With that in mind, does anyone have a copy of the original file? I've been unable to find one online, and I'd prefer not to have to uninstall the game again as it's working perfectly, I just can't get past that step in updating.

Well, it was worth a try, but it unfortunately didn't work for me. I have a suspicion that the problem may lie with Mansions and Gardens, so I'm just going to uninstall it and see if the game works then.

Hi, so I've searched just about everywhere, and I am having 0% luck with a problem; I went through EA Tech support three different times without fixing the problem, and now my issue is being forwarded to 'higher-level tech support."

I just installed all the EPs and Ikea Home Stuff, and Kitchen and Bath Interior Design on a computer running XP. Whenever I go to boot up the game, whether it be via the desktop icon or EA Download Manager, I get the same error message.

The game can not start.

The license seems to be improperly configured. Please wait a few minutes and try again.

I've waited more than a few minutes at this point; I've been trying for nearly 24 hours at this point. I uninstalled, then re-installed the games, in the correct order (the first tech support guy told me my issue was that I installed the stuff packs after the last EP, instead of their release order) and cleaned up the registry on it. I then downloaded the patches from the EA site, although my game is up to date already.

I'm just extremely frustrated at this point. Does anyone think they could possibly help?

This house actually wasn't that bad, besides the fact it's most definitely not family friendly, and the way the outside was designed. In any case, here's my interpretation of this month's House of Phail.

It comes in at 172,373, and although it isn't Awesomespec, it still has the pool, and the veranda, which has been redone to fit the new design.

Edited because I fail at grammar.
