1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: beach activities stopped working BV on: 2007 October 03, 19:38:26
I had the same malfunctioning ground/beach interactions briefly.  My particular problem was caused by jordi's teleport at will hack.  Delete that one if you have it.

Damn.  It's not one of those things I put on every lot like the debugger.  Never even occurred to me.  Thanks guys.

I wasn't sure where to ask about this so I thought I'd share here.  Anyway, I graduated four sims from uni yesterday but the clothingtool never kicked in to let them buy some decent adult clothes before leaving campus.  It's supposed to automatically pop up at this time, correct?  I have everything up to seasons and am using the latest seasons clothingtool + clothingtool-globals.

I did notice that Pets broke my ability to make sims pee themselves in public.  I used to be able to select visiting sims that were irritating me and slide the bladder motive down so they'd pee themselves and be laughed at.  Now with Pets installed they won't pee themselves and immediately try to exit the lot.  I don't like this change at all.
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: teen elder adult elder romance on: 2006 October 19, 17:29:00
Um...I think you should try asking this question at the inteen forum.  I'm pretty sure they will tell you that you can't use other woohoo mods while using inteen, and maybe probably someone might tell you to RTFM, because the manual has a big list of incompatible hacks in case you're interested.  And I'm pretty sure that the inteen explicitly does not allow teen/elder romance, because it's gross, but that's just my opinion.
6  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Homework Problem on: 2006 July 17, 22:10:01
Are you using the first version of the inteen for ofb?  There was some bug involving teens putting their homework down and a hotfix was made for it.  There's a new version of inteen for ofb that I'm assuming incoporates the previous version's hotfixes (I can't tell you for sure because gaming sites are blocked at work...).  If you haven't updated yet then definitely get it.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pregnant Sim goes to work on: 2006 July 02, 21:09:24
A long time ago after installing OFB my Diva had her pregnancy, which had been at the 2 bump stage, get reset and had a flat stomach.  She got the bumps back over the course of a day, so never had time to run off to her party guest job.  She was already on maternity leave, but again got the message about staying home.  My memory is kind of fuzzy on this since it was so long ago, but I suppose it's normal.  Though I don't remember if any more pregnant sims have reverted to flat tummies after a reset.
8  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Melody Tinker in college on: 2006 June 13, 19:57:25
Has anyone else here had problems when sending this particular sim to university?  My google skills must not be very good because I can't find any useful info about the subject.  I saw one post by somebody saying Melody's bugginess in college is well known, but no info about a fix.

The problem I'm referring to is Melody going to college, and instead of going to class at the normal freshman time she gets the notice to go to class at 11 at night and then never comes back.  I haven't gotten her to her first finals yet but I'm assuming that will be screwed up too.  I'll use the college clock to make her go to finals but does anyone know of a way to just fix it?

Probably unrelated, but I had some weirdness with her before she even to college when I loaded the Tinker house sometime after installing Inteen.  I knew they would all be reset and she would have warped home from school, but she was standing in the backyard and then disappeared along with her thumbnail pic.  I had to bring her back with the tombstone of life+death.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This is why some sims just need to go... on: 2006 June 07, 02:22:01
Toddlers no, annoying visitors, YES!!! why not!  Annoying visitors think it's alright to tease their host/ess, prank them (despite the antiprank hack) and generally annoy them - slapping would serve them darn well right!

Oh, and there is a nojumponbed hack which was recommended in a thread here and works really well, haven't had a kid do it since I installed it!  I think it would even stop Lucy Burb, though I can't check now, she's about to graduate!  Sorry I can't remember where it came from, but I think a search would find the thread and the link.

I gotta try that bed jumping hack.  I have alot more kids now then when I first saw that thread you mention.

Well, I don't exactly advocate toddler abuse, but last night I had to know what would happen if i had an adult attack a toddler.  The fight, the thought bubbles afterward, and the toddler waking the next morning with the want to see the ghost of his mother were pretty hilarious.  The first use of the attack hack was to have Nina Caliente slap some townie who wouldn't stop pestering her toddler.  Loved that moment.

I don't micromanage my sims anymore so I feel that way so often ("You really need to die") when i catch them doing something stupid like hiding the diary and jumping on beds, but I can't bring myself to actively kill them.  But I love using that squinge attack anyone hack.  Having sims slap annoying visitors and attack their own toddlers is so wrong, but it feels so good.
11  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: is there a way to figure out exact cause of lot crashing? on: 2006 April 27, 15:39:31
What?  You mean people can't read my mind?!  I'll attach the report.  I have all three EPs and the OFB patch.  The lot was the Tri-Var Sorority House.  Hmm, I think 3 of the 5 girls had cell phones at the time.  This was the first time my game has crashed on me.  I play in debug mode and didn't get any error message so no chance to delete any offensive object on the lot.  I removed my whole downloads folder and the lot still wouldn't load and the game crashed.  I deleted that file everyone suggests deleting (objects.cache?) and the same no load/crash thingy happened.  I finally just moved them out to a different house.

I'm just really curious about what is in the text documents and "mdmp" files that were spawned with each crash.  There's alot of codes and alphanumeric stuff in there.  Is it just vague "error!" stuff or specific "Tiffany Upsnott was doing xyz" encoded in there?  I just want to know so I don't recreate the situation that caused the crashing.  By the way, what's an mdmp file?  Thanks.

12  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / is there a way to figure out exact cause of lot crashing? on: 2006 April 26, 01:37:56
I had a problem recently where a university lot wouldn't load and the game would crash.  I did the usual steps to try and fix it and eventually just moved the residents out and into another lot.  I just noticed that a text document was created in the error log folder for each time the lot crashed.  Is there anything in those documents that could tell me what exactly was wrong and caused the crashing?
