hai.. its incredible!! i like it.. but, i still didn't know whats wrong with my decra-chill.. i have FT and Celebration stuff.. and i'm confuse to decide and where i must to put it? is it still need numenor mod? Please help mee.. Thank you hai... Necromancy is bad. Please read the FAQ. I think L.D. answered your question in the original post. You still need Numenor's mod to sell custom objects that aren't "OFB-Ready", be it on Decra-Chill or on regular shelves. In "No Prevent Placement" version, I only removed the "discrimination" of Decra-Chill, making it accept the same kind of objects as regular OFB shelves. If a custom object cannot be placed on regular OFB shelves without help of Numenor's mod in the first place, it can't be placed in Decra-Chill either.
If you use CC cakes, likely yes. If you use only Maxis cakes, no. As for "and i'm confuse to decide and where i must to put it?"...what is " it"? Do you mean "Where do I put the download?" If so, it goes in your download folder ".../My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads" (again, read the FAQ)

I had an experience similar to this a few days ago. I had my sim guy ask a girl for a date at the home lot. She accepted and wanted to go to a community lot. Walk to lot was immediately followed by the sim girl saying, Thanks for the date, that sucked mpnkey balls. For a second I thought maybe the time had run out, but no, they must have had at least two sim hours of the date left. Apparently my sims can't go to community lots with their dates at all now. Oh, teh joy. I'll do the hack dance as soon as I get home from school.
Errr, my dates and outings work fine, it's just I have to greet everyone again. So yea, pretty unrelated, but HEY sharing is caring, thanks for coming. If no one else has noticed this since installing AL, then it must be my hax0rs. Which is mostly Awesomeware, so I'll keep ya posted. Hmm, I'm going to have to try this myself, as I haven't taken a date from a Sim home. Was the date a playable, down/townie, YA, or an NPC? The problem I encountered (I'm posting it here instead of a new thread to keep these in one place) is twofold. I've been very careful starting my new game after the BFBVFS, checking bug logs, running multiple conflict checkers and such, and every quirk ('cept the occasional-stand-twist-squat-stand-from-a-chair irregularity and the noweatherreaction-ain't-working problem) has been fixed until I finally moved a Sim into an apartment. When I arranged an outing that included a tenant in the building, the cab came for my Sim, but waited for the tenent. SimHours later, still no change. I then exited the lot wothout saving. Next time, I decided he'd walk to town to meet some new Sims, and met a perfect mate whom he then asked on a date. After getting her juiced-up, he invited her to his place where things went well until they wanted to slow dance. Instead of dancing in the suite, or moving into the hall, they tried to move next door. Nopes. She entered the apartment, but he couldn't. He knocked on the door and the tenant whined about not being in the mood to socialize. I could have eneded the date an left it at that, but instead I decided to try forcing her out by calling a cab. The result was the same as when I invited the tenant. Again I exited without saving, and resumed the date on reload. All went well from that point on, and they're now happily married w/one child, and FILTHY rich. (kill all the lawyers!) As a test I tried reproducing the problem in my testing NH and got the same result from the "inviting a tenant" problem. I didn't bother with the date as the problem was similar and assume would also be reproduced. This produced no error log for me.

I believe there are mods about to deal with the permaplat issue, but I don't know for sure as I don't use them.
Heh, I just spent the time since my last post searching for a hack for this annoyance, but no luck yet. I sure I'm not the only person who doesn't agree with infants getting permaplat. I'd want to prevent it from occurring pre-adult, and preferably Awesome. I'm having a hard enough time debugging (only one left) so I can keep my non-Awesome InSim multi-tool, but I've got Inge's mods downloaded just in case I admit defeat.

Since Free Time sims can hit permaplat in three ways. Hitting their LTW (which they don't get until teens), maxing out their LTA meter (introduced in FT), or from a genie wish. Carida's problem is that her toddlers are hitting permaplat the second way. It is possible to do so if you extend the toddler stage, satisfy their wants, and keep their aspiration high most of the time.
Oops, I confused LTW with the new LTA, and I've learnt something new. I guess I've been spending too much time debugging my installation instead of actually playing. I didn't know an infant can go PermaPlat with FT, and it's a stupid feature. For me, once a Sim gets PermaPlat, some of the fun disappears. I find the Sim can spend the rest of their days partying and socializing, and ignore all other SWAFs. Unless there's a business involved, the incentive to maintain the Sim is gone. It's like playing out an Elder waiting for death. I wonder if there are any people who know how to write something to put into the game that may imped, or prevent, this pre-teen permaplat annoyance?

Could be either or to be honest. I've already had three games go up in flames.
But thinking of these specific toddlers, after they were taught to walk, talk, potty, they were pretty much left in their room to amuse themselves how they like and only sought out to be changed. So it could be that the game was broken.
At this point, both toddlers are gone as I've started fresh hoping that such doesn't occur again.
I had this happen with a whole family. Toddlers, adults, teens. All perm platinum. And it won't go down. At this point I won't choose a second aspiration just to keep it from happening. Also seems to be the only way it doesn't.
-C
In an earlier post you stated you wanted 'miserable children', so don't teach them to walk, talk, and so-on. As for the strategy of "I'm-not-going-do-this-or-that-ingame-because-it's-broken", it stinks. If you've blown up three games already, and perhaps a fourth, are you not ready to learn how to NOT blow it up? Your game is buggy, so fix it. A MATY member claimed It had a NH into it's 12th. generation. Personally, I'd rather have 12 gens. rather than start over every time my NH is getting well established.

The hell? How the fuck do you fill a toddler's LTA meter in *4* days? That's not even possible by the numbers for accumulation given! I've already had two permanent platinum toddlers. Huh? Sims don't get an LTA until they are a teen, thus cannot get PermaPlat. Perhaps its a problem in my game? Either your game is borked, or you are paying too much attention to your tykes, thus, not allowing aspiration decay.

I get winded listening to nerds complain about grammar. anyway, Would I have to edit every radio or are the pie menus controlled by the stereo globals. I've looked but not found what I'm looking for. Probably should search harder. Starting with the emergence of Usenet, the proper use of the English language has been slowly reduced to unintelligible strings of mis spelt words because GenY is too lazy to press a shift key, run a spell checker, or use proper punctuation. I applaud those who try to reteach and encourage the proper use of the English language. As for the question... WTF? You don't know how to change options in the game?

And what on earth is making the game start up so slow?
I assume you've patched AL and all your other EPs after the new installation. Long load times can sometimes be solved by deleting your cache files. Ten minute load times are just wrong. I've over 4500 CC files and my game only takes two or three minutes.

Thanks for the info! I'm only running Uni and NL, never bought any more expansions. I'll probably try getting rid of InTeen and just using these hacks instead. I'm not sure if I read correctly... Does InSIM by itself conflict with these hacks? Sorry if my questions are dumb, but I'm not Sim-tech savvy! I don't know if there ARE conflicts between InSim and FFS hacks, but since I now have an Awesome Sims2 game, I rarely need InSim and only put it into my CC when I know I'll need a feature that can't be done using an Awesome hack or cheat code. Thus, I've never searched for the answer. Read more. For a week at least. Read entire threads, warts and all. I read for a week or two, asked a question(Have I asked a second one?), and then continued to read. I've found 99% of my questions have already been asked, answered, and fixed. My recommendation is this, go all out and build an Awesome Sims2 game using clean templates and nothing but Awesome hacks. The instructions are all on site. After you've successfully installed and played your fixed, bug-free, fully patched Awesome Sims2 game, and it's not acting quirky, put InSim back and see what happens.

See, I keep saying (in other threads) that roberte may have a hack conflict, especially since he never confirms that he replaced his old hacks with hacks appropriate to his latest EP.
However, roberte apparently lives for this sort of adventure.
Yeah, I keep expecting to finally read a response from roberte stating he's(?) moved his Downloads folder to the desktop, insured he's got all recent EA patches installed, cleaned his cache, rebooted the computer, and then tested the game behaviour without any CC. Oops, that would only simplify trouble shooting.

theres only about 4 stations I ever listen to so I'm wondereing if I can delete them from the stereo pie menu.
try disabling the all the songs in the categories you don't like the category shouldn't show if it's empty. ive not tested the shopping speakers with this though buying a metal speaker with no metal music selected may cause unwanted effects. (I get winded reading a post typed like that. In my native tongue...) Original poster wrote(corrected): tThere '(apostrophe)s only about 4four stations I ever listen to .(period) sSo , (coma) I'm wonder eing if I can delete them from the stereo pie menu .?(assuming it was a question)(Seven grammar errors while using only 22 words. Does this qualify as a Grammar Day entry?) Try disabling the all the songs in the categories you don't like. The category shouldn't show if it's empty. I've not tested the shopping speakers with this, because buying a Metal speaker with no Metal music selected may cause unwanted effects. Edited to add: You can, additionally, add your own tracks to the categories after you've deselected the default music. One EP allows you to build custom radio stations, but I'm too lazy to search through my manuals. If you have the option, you'll see it in the music tap. (Customized music is dealt with in one of the EA Readme files included with your installation.)

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Packaging a lot

I want to move my house, with everything in it, to a larger lot. What would be the correct method to do this so I won't have to completely refurnish my house?
Should I also clear all my sims from the house/lot first?
Thank for any assistance.
Unless someone here pulls a rabbit out of the hat, other than taking many screenshots and using them to rebuild the home on a larger lot, using the lot resizer is your only option. A packaged home includes the lot it sits on. I've played with the resizer a bit, and it does have some strange behaviours, but when you consider it's doing something the game was never meant to do, it works. A simple lot expansion was straight forward, but some trial and error was needed to create alleys and corner lots. Download the resizer and play with it in a new NH with many different conditions to discover it's quirks and successes before you discount it as undesirable. Otherwise, you are going to have to rebuild and refurnish.

I have constructed a movie studio lot with large, 2 story sound stages but light doesn't pass through from the 2nd story and I do not get the height effect of a 2 story room.
I have only found one light that works over 2 stories however it does not function when gunmod's radience lighting is installed (which it is).
Can anyone detail a solution to the above problem so that when I record my sims actors acting on a sound stage the effect is that of a 2 story (which most of them are) sound stage.
Thank you for any response.
Robert
Because you're asking about a mod that is not Awesome, you should ask at MTS2. I assume that's where you got it from.

The only stuff pack that I haven't arrquired yet is Glamour Life stuff and that's only because every single file I've found on TPB has been labelled as having a bloody virus. Is it worth getting or should I just not bother to keep looking fpor a clean one?
I bought it and feel my $20 would have been better spent on rhum and cigarettes. BV also made it possible to age up your townies when one of your playables has a birthday. As far as I know, this feature was not carried forward to later EPs.
FT allows you to age up three townies per Sim, but never had a chance to figure out how to do it. Probably helps to have non-adult townie friends at the birthday party, which I never did.

It'd be nice if the expansions built off each other a bit more. I can understand the issue of requiring a daisy chain of EPs to enjoy something, but something like Outerwear is added in one expansion, and not a single EP after that bothers with the whole clothes category.
Somebody on MTS2 was crazy kind enough to go through the Maxis defaults and reclassify all the clothing and hats that needed it. In the process, he/she moved a lot of stuff into Outerwear.

IMHO, I'd not recommend Pets, as it doesn't add much to the core, and the Sims have enough to do without adding pets to the situation. Because I installed FT, AL and Seasons on the same day, I pulled out my Seasons manual to check what new features it added. Features include the giving of gifts (great for transferring rewards and such to other sims), an option to have different hair styles for different outfits (ie, low poly hair for everyday, ponytail for sleep and swim, high poly hair for formal occasions), you can put leftover food into the fridge (great for small families, and kids can feed themselves omelets in the morning without ma or pa waking up), new careers (lawyer career rewards you with another podium that pays 5$ every minute, but the "cha-ching" is irritating and the flying 5s lag my lappy), and a juicer to make smoothies with your crops (you get to garden). New objects are limited though, but who cares with all the CC available.
On a side note, as far as I know, if a child can use a reward, they can build the skill. I've maxed out children's charisma with the podium before they even become teens.
So, as stated in a previous post, I don't think Pets or BV are worth it. As for SPs, don't bother or don't pay for them.
Normally I don't endorse "arr-ing", but after EA screwed us with Spore by treating the innocent like pirates while cracks have no DRM, feck those asses, don't give them any more money. Too bad I'll miss out on Sims3, unless I arr, which I won't. ;-)
Hope this helped.

Aww crap. Deleting binned Sims is a Bad? I really thought I'd learnt all the bads.
I had created a family that was supposed to go into one of my NHs, but I accidentally hired one of them in a business. I later deleted the family because the intended NH was getting too populated due to stupid Fam LTWs (grad millions, have millions). Later, when the business owner called employees in, Mr. Gotz didn't show for work and I couldn't phone him or Summon him. That's when I realised my error and now he's stuck as an employee. I've recently noticed I'm getting a few anomalies, but I initially attributed it to a hack conflict or some piece of CC. I'm still trying to find a culprit, but after reading this thread, I worry I've broken my NH.
Oops, nearly forgot to mention I hadn't played any other NHs while the Gotz' were binned and waiting for a home, so nobody outside the original NH had a chance to have a random encounter with any of the family members, if that makes any difference.
SimPE shows Mr. Gotz as an unplayable, info free token(?), but I'm not messing with it until I know exactly what to do.
If I have broken the NH, with as many playable Sims in that one NH with it's 'burbs, there's no way I'm going to try to salvage everything. It'll be a shame to wipe it as it was the first NH I started after making the Bad of transferring a family from one NH to another NH, and installing WAY too much CC and hacks at once. (had just discovered CC and didn't read enough, as usual, and the whole game went blammo)
If my NH isn't broken, how might I remove Mr. Gotz from the business? Is there a way to recreate him from the left over rags and fool the game into thinking the new one is the original one, and then making him a NPC (not that I want more, but those Cowplants are always at hand, and Gerry loves that juice)?
Once again, I've probably missed the obvious, so spnak away.
update - Damn, I finally found confirmation on what I was looking for in the War Room. Sadly, from the looks of it, yes my NH is toasted. WhyTF would EAsses include an option to delete binned sims when it does SOOOO much damage to a NH? Also, it seems I'm reaching critical mass as far as residents/NPCs go, 819.
Since my last NH backup was after Gotz screwed things up, I'm just going to install the nospawn hacks, salvage and clean a few of my favourite families, bin my homes, and, since the binned sims from my newest EPs probably fecked my other NHs up, reinstall. Stupid, stupid freakin' EA, one deleted sim and my game is dead! <primal scream>
I really wish I'd found MATY a year ago, I could have avoided this second reinstall. At least it gives me an excuse to download Numenator's Super-mega-ultra Neighbourhood from MTS2.
Thanks folks for all the info, hacks and stuff.
2nd update - Duh, I didn't see Seelaurarun's response. Thanks.
The EAsses keep giving me more and more reasons to dislike them. I think I'll take a break from gameplay for a while. I'm just too pissed off right now to start over. (five wasted months wasted) At least I've got lots of organized CC with all the crap weeded out, and I found MATY, a great source of hacks to fix what the EAsses couldn't and the awesomest place for SIMming resources ever. Once again, thanks. I bow to the aweSIMness of you all.
