TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Missing Normal Eyeglasses, Customs Reflect Everything

Yeah, I didn't think it was a hack-related fault, either. I only mentioned it because that's the first thing people ask.
I'm hoping that, when the Teen heads off to University, the glitch will correct itself.
Otherwise, Dirk Dreamer's daughter will have a see-through skull for the remainder of her days --- a fun trick at parties, maybe, but it gets old after a while.

I know resurrecting ancient threads is a Mortal Sin, BUT........I'm having the same problem. (Possible Apartment Life trend?)
* It's only affecting one glasses-wearing-teen in a household of glasses-wearing-adults, * I'm not missing regular glasses; but all glasses (Maxis or custom) display this way on the Teen, * It has nothing to do with being a witch, as the previous poster postulated.
(Hacks --- nothing relevant: No Adult Mascot, comm-skilling, alfixes, ijTeleporterApartments, CreatureFixes, the like.)
It's probably some minor, niggling, user-created flea of a defect. But any pointers would be appreciated.

TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Missing: "Throw Party" Option
|
on: 2008 December 16, 21:54:59

Here's a puzzler:
My sims no longer have the option to "throw party." I usually don't bother, save for the university graduation party. Now, it only says "Move back to Pleasantview."
I completely removed the Downloads folder, and the problem persists. So....it's not any hack.
(I have all of the expansions, down to Apartment Life.)
Any thoughts? Suggestions? Household tips?

Here's an update (for those who might have similar problems):
* I noticed, on another home lot, that certain new townies that came with Apartment Life become stuck on the sidewalk. * Wanda the Witch can fly to her business lot and back, but I still need to use the fsslotdebugger to un-stick her.
Attempted Fix, Part Deux: I've kept the prison controllers (so far,) but removed a visitor controller. I forget who made it --- it comes in the form of a Painting (Portrait of a Lady who Hates {insert type of visitor}).
Result: Everything appears to be normal. So far... .
It's still too early for certainty, but I suspect the problem stems from The Work of the Non-Awesome. Nine times out of ten, the fault lies in the Downloads folder. I should have known, but I've been away from this game for a while.
At any rate, if this problem isn't hack-related, I'll let you know.

TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Apartment-dwelling Witch Lost in Limbo!

Ok, here's the run-down:
* Wanda Tinker moved into an apartment. * Wanda Tinker owns a toy store. * Wanda Tinker becomes a witch. * Wanda Tinker flies to business lot on a broomstick.
Problem: When the business lot loads, Wanda never arrives, but stays lost in limbo. Problem: When I reload the game, returning to the apartment, Wanda is said to be "Away."
Attempted fix: Using the ffsdebuger (a.k.a., the "Batbox,") I forced an error in-world. Wanda returns. BUT --- every time she tries to leave the apartment, she insists on flying, and becomes lost again. IF you call a taxi, she gets in, but the taxi just sits there.
Any suggestions or tips would be most appreciated.
Thank you.
