TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What's the best way to handle memories?

Memories incorporate with conversation options. Per http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Memories : Memories are usually used as a subject of a conversation, in addition to interests. Recent memories are likely to be the conversation topic and will eventually wear off and not become a topic anymore. Negative memories can be spread by gossip. Sims who have heard a gossip can pass it on to other Sims as well. A topic of the gossip is started by Sims who witness a bad experience, or heard the story itself from other Sims via gossip or chat. That is from the wikia concerning TS2 memories. What does that have to do with this topic about TS3 memories?

Futureshock Loft is part of the 'Final Frontier' set which is in itself a part of the 'When Worlds Collide' Set, which there are already links for in the store forum. Really? I looked for those and found When Worlds Collide in a .package format, but I wanted it in an untouched sims3pack format. I could not find anything to do with Final Frontier when I put it in search. Hmm, well I agree Panama Crew's message says it's in package format, and Icantbebothered's file is MIA, Knight Guy's is still a valid link and has inside what appears to be an untouched sims3pack.

Teppanyaki Grill: Chicken Fried Rice: originally 2 Chicken now 2 Eggs.
Why didn't you just change chicken to roast instead of using egg? After all chickens are actually in the game, albeit by a different name. Most Chicken Fried Rice has fried egg not chunks of chicken meat. Plus 2 expensive Roasts for such a low level meal was weird, where as 2 cheaper eggs made more sense.

What does this actually do though? Makes it so that these items are "used" when you cook these recipes? You might also want to mention that this needs a higher priority than ccmerged since it's an override.
I was under the impression that anything placed in the mod folder was automatically a higher priority than ccmerged in the dcbackup folder. And yes the purpose of the mod is for the meals to use the ingredients as was intended except EA's coder couldn't remember their own ingredients' names.

And if you, you know, PLAY THE ACTUAL GAME, you will see them called "Links" in the refrigerator, in the grocery store shopping screen, in your inventory, etc.
Well I wasn't talking about in THE ACTUAL GAME, I was talking about the Store_Recipe file inside ccmerged. Which uses the ingredient.xml which uses HotDog not Links. Now go ahead and make your next little MOAR FIGHT comment, so you have the last word on the topic.

I was looking thru the game files for the recipes for the Wood Stove and Teppanyaki Grill since they don't show up in the Cooking skill tab, when I found a few non existing ingredients in them. So I made a mod to fix them.
Fixes:
Teppanyaki Grill: Chicken Fried Rice: originally 2 Chicken now 2 Eggs. Pepper Steak: Pepper now Bell Pepper Teppanyaki Trio: Green Pepper now Bell Pepper
Wood Stove: Pepperoni Pizza: Links now Hot Dogs
Edit to add a requested reminder: This file will need to be updated any time EA adds more food recipes to the store.
Edit - April 3, 2014: Version 2 uploaded to add the new Premium Bakery recipies. No new recipies needed fixed.

That is something that has always bothered me over at MTS, most of the houses are so fruity tuti that if I ever end up downloading one, purely for its layout, I have to go through and remove the horrible colouring. I really think some of those creators need to look into interior decorating classes.
I've noticed some of those who claim to be artistes, no matter what type of art they do, tend to lack subtly. The creators of the worst sim houses seem to be fans of the old Trading Spaces designers, those who I call Shock Designers.

In my game Bonehilda will not garden at all, tries to kills my dog through training to death, will not do laundry. The good things (or not so bad): She only puts out quick meals just before and just after the brats have school, does some minor maintenence (fixes stuffed toilets), and generally picks up the entire house, and the game considers her nanny enough that the adult sims can leave the toddlers alone in the house with her. Her casket is buried in the basement next to the laundry machines.

I don't care if I'm a year late but I have to say that I find this thread appalling. Everyone that helped the poster of this thread has been nothing but rude. Whether you're staff or not I see no EXCUSE for how you all have treated this person. No one has any right to call someone a name, or several in this case, just because they are having some trouble, whether your intentions were to help them or not. If someone doesn't understand your help or instructions right away the humane thing to do is to help them through it step by step, or if you can't help them direct them to someone who can. IN A POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER! Maybe they are not as experienced with computers or the bullshit the sims games give us, there's nothing wrong with that. I find the members of this site extremely unprofessional and it saddens me that someone had to deal with your asshole behaviors. Since it has been a year I hope that you all are better than this by now, but if not then I suggest not attempting to help anyone out until you fix your attitude. I would rather not be helped at all than to be confronted in such a manner. I personally don't care if you respond to my post or delete my account because I feel that people need to be aware of how they may be treated when asking for help on this site. I can imagine if you asked for help and were talked to in such a manner you wouldn't be too pleased, so its only right not to treat others that way. Whether my post helps any or not I feel that my response is necessary in this case and I hope that there are not other threads just like this. I found this site on google and this was the first thread that popped up. I say that is not good for business. I surely hope not all staff and members are like this because it would be a terrible shame. For all of you involved in this thread besides the thread poster, and in any thread like this, I strongly suggest keeping your smartass attitude to yourself because acting in the manner that you did shows just how childish and immature you are. Thank you kindly.
So what are you, Troll or Sock, cause no newb is going to be that long winded.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 05.20.2012)

Updated OP. Hopefully this way makes it easier for some people. If something is still wonky just let me know, just make sure to include how everything is installed.
I installed both the KT Storefix Awesome and KT StorefixUnawesome, I didn't install either of the others as I install vanilla sims3pack's. The tabcast function is not working (no earphone or buff), had no problems with it in the version 11 fix but everything since doesn't work for that. Have not experienced the deepfryer jump bug at this time. I assume you didn't install both of the fixes at the same time but tried each individually? If you've ever deleted all content in your DCBackup and did not re-install your premium content, your ccmerged.package may not be complete, which will cause problems. Actually I did install both at the same time as per the instructions KT has with the latest update... Instructions*This fix assumes that ALL affected items are installed the same way*Everyone will need this file here-----> KT_StoreFix_AwesomeIf you don't use Awesomemod you will also need this file here-----> KT_StoreFix_UnAwesome

EA has zero interest in providing things for people without internetz. They're pushing for online functionality in all their games, and shoehorning in multiplayer wherever possible.
True! Although they should be more interested in those people, as they are the ones that are less likely to have ARR the game. They are also less likely to buy the overpriced but highly profitable (for EA) store stuff. So again EA doesn't care since they won't make money.

I love it, it brings the game more to life. Waiting anxiously for the teenagers version to come out also.................
Try reading the first post.... Edit 9/17: Version 2 is uploaded, with teens and elders added, support for lod2 and lod3 added, and a foreskin slider added which probably needs more work. Note that if the foreskin slider is used, you have to use the "Uncut Erection" slider instead of the regular Erection slider.
