I was expecting some genetic horror that would curdle my bones with revulsion and cause everyone who saw it to band together in cleansing moment of unity, demanding an immediate fix.  But then I clicked the link and saw a beige and brown horse.

Sorry, Jeromycraig, no disrespect to your observational skills, but there is no way that the union of those two pictured horses could produce the equine equivalent of a collie.

However, I seriously doubt that the genetics of this game are fixable.

Hi, I want to thank you for this useful mod..  However,  I find that with my system and specs, 3Booter will launch FPS limiter only if both are installed into the base game directory.

The updater insists on deleting those program files from the base game directory each time I execute it.  It then copies them into the  "Generations" folder.  While this will launch the game for me, it won't deploy the FPS Limiter, so for now I am unable to use your program.  I know that not everyone has this issue, nor had I before the 1.22 patch.  I have read some discussion that it is a DX 11 issue.

I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this same problem.

Simsample made Sanctuary, which is actually really nice, but very large. He also includes custom lots.

Yes, I just downloaded this world from your link, BlueSoup, and it's very promising so far!  It even includes an opening video, which I have never seen another custom creator succeed in doing.

I'm still editing it, but I like the large size, and that the creator has included tombs and hidden dive wells intrigues me, too.   Good find!

My Sims Realty worlds are nice, but I will warn everyone that most of the ones there have the whole neighborhood built in the same style (i.e. every house has the same overall look as they all use the same siding/bricks and same palate and type of build mode objects) and that bothered me a bit.  I know neighborhoods can be like that, but having everyone in town have the same colors on their houses is yuck.  The neighborhoods are lovely and playable, so it's a personal thing.

I agree that My Sims Realty worlds are nice, but I personally find the homes to be more than a major annoyance.  The front door in most lots steps into the kitchen, and in a preponderance of the homes, there is no dining area, nor room to put one.  The worlds themselves are lovely.  I especially like "Glen Meadow," but I deleted it because I got so irritated by the badly designed and cramped custom homes.

Fort Sims  by ehaught58 has terrific lots, but an indifferent attention to detail in the overall design of the world downgrades it significantly in my opinion.  And there were few if any spawners included.

Heartbreak Island is very good, well designed and great playability.  I just felt that the "Broken Heart" theme was a little cutesy and overdone.  But that's a subjective matter.  The world itself is very good.

Also, try "Longview," which I cannot find fault with.  It's good looking, numerous lots and room for expansion.  But not as beautiful as "Saskan Harbor," in my opinion.  And as for routing issues in "Saskan Harbour," I have not found that to be a problem at all.  Perhaps different versions have been uploaded?

This is a subject near and dear to me.  I have downloaded and tested MANY custom worlds, and most of them were seriously lacking in one or more respects.  By far and away the most perfect I have discovered is "Saskan Harbor," an offering from a Scottish Simmer whose BBC user name is "Johnnywr ."

This creation is artistically beautiful to play.  I run my Sims around this world with the viewing angle set to horizontal or close, as the passing scenery in this little gem is spectacular.  The creator has paid meticulous attention to details, placing many trees, glazing the mountaintops with ice, and not forgetting the little details such as adequate spawners throughout.

Also, this world is not too small, and there is plenty of room for expansion.  The custom homes are simple, yet highly playable, and perfect for upgrading, so they function especially efficiently for the architect profession.  I have had much trouble with lots that could NOT be upgraded in any manner that was satisfying in this respect.

The only caveat I can think of is that the lots from "Ambitions" must be manually added, but this is no big deal.  I don't think this world could dissapoint anyone.  A close runner-up would be "Liberty Bay."  I can't remember where I found it, but "Googling" should produce results.

Here is the creator's forum link:  the dowload link is on this page as well.

I felt compelled to reply to this thread, as I also have just under nine hundred files in my "Mods" folder.  This does not include items in the "My Documents/Downloads folder.

My game runs smoothly, with no conflicts of any kind.  Only once have I encountered an issue with a downloaded item rendering my game unplayable.  A pattern (of all things) caused my game to balk at loading.  It simply never loaded at all.  When I removed the offending pattern, the problem disappeared.

My downloads run the usual gamut of mods, hairs, patterns, and game objects.  My computer has only two Gigs of RAM, and my CPU is an Intel Pentium IV, 3.2 GHz.

I use AwesomeMod, nearly all of Twallan's great mods, and a host of lesser tweaks.  I cannot help but suspect that some issue other than mutual compatibility is at work on your system.

Legal copy here, too.  Once I restored my modified *.*ini's, all of my woes vanished.  It works well with all of my mods, including core.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.3 Released on: 2009 July 29, 09:02:31
Simius, thank you.  I found the file and it fixed my problem.
Hello, all.  I attempted to install this patch last night, and was unsuccessful, as I had forgotten that I overwrote the original "VideoCamera.ini" file.  Also, I failed to back up this original file.

This failed installation has made it impossible for me to play, patch, or uninstall my game.  I would be grateful if one of you could kindly upload a copy of the original  "VideoCamera.ini," which, I hope, will solve the problem.

And thank you all for your constant help and advice of which I have so often availed myself, without ever telling you all how much your forum really means to me, and for those mods without which the game would not be endurable.
The file should be on your cd... So just copy it from there.  (or if you downloaded the game obviously it would be in the iso file...)

Thank you, Simius, I found it, and it fixed my problem.

Hello, All.  I have been following this thread with great interest for some time now, but I have yet to read of one other person who has experienced the SecurRom related problem which is causing me grief.

I have purchased "Bon Voyage," FreeTime," and "Apartment Life," but cannot install any of them.  SecuRom is ALL that installs before I receive the ubiquitous "Autorun has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience" message

Needless to say, EA has been no help whatsoever about this, and in fact they have apparenely failed even to read my Emails, judging from the woefully inapplicable responses they have returned to me.

Do any of you know what causes this?  Have you heard of others having this problem?  And is there a workaround?
