1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Pets- Whats borked thread on: 2011 October 24, 21:03:19
I've seen a sim with a head floating over an invisible body. This was a bug in TS2 (or maybe TS1) when you were missing an outfit.  This was a vanilla game, not even store content in. My sim met him at the new consignment store and offerred him a makeover, at which point the game crashed. I haven't seen this one posted anywhere else so I'm wondering if I need to put in some store content, such as Riverview.
My graphics card is a ATI HD 6850 with 1 gig memory. The driver was updated about a month ago, so I'm hoping it's them not me.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Pets- Whats borked thread on: 2011 October 22, 23:22:28
So far, all beds (even non-custom or store) are borked the hell. Sims go to bed and do the 'pull the covers' down animation, but then they lay on the bed oozing through the covers. And then they can't get out of bed at all.

And store dressers and bath tubs won't let you put anything on them.

Very strange.
Got any custom content? There is a  bed issue caused by custom content. As we know by now EA changed a file and broke custom content.  Some cc bed files duplicate some of EA's code and having a cc bed in your folder (even if you are not using it ) will cause EA's bed's to pick up the wrong code and behave badly. Bathtubs are also doing this. I haven't seen reports of dressers being broke, but as all cc has to be fixed it could be part of the same problem.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Can't train dog to hunt on: 2011 October 20, 22:51:19
They are saying over at the official forum that the Gothique Spell Book is causing animals not to gain skills, but  Twallan's Overwatch fixes it.
I can't say for sure but given all the trouble that bloody thing has caused I wouldn't be suprised. I'm testing Pet's without anything in (no store, no mods or cc) and the skills are working for me. Though my sim is a slow learner. She has the athletic trait but has taken two trips to the gym and one home work out to get one skill point.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Decrapify made store lots disappear from the Library folder on: 2011 October 17, 22:27:44
I'm blaming the Regency Arcade. The Gothic Library and the Olympian Gym went missing for me after the October install as well, but I bought all that stuff so it is not the fault of the decrap method. They were missing from the bin and the launcher even though they were in the download folder. Reinstalling brought them back, and the arcade is there as well. I hadn't said anything as I just assumed I had cc conflict as I had put in some houses and the Late Night bonus clubs.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Jfadeworld - A New Pudding Destination on: 2011 February 18, 13:11:24
Anyone else put a sim in The Simmerset (165 N Calhoun St) ? So far everytime I do the game crashes and reboots. I have tried this several times now, with mods and without and still get the crash. The crash happens early on the second day, after the sim has been up a short time.
Other houses I've tried play  just fine. Even the other apartment, the loft one with the beautiful big verandah.
This is a beautiful world. I love the mix of city and country. I especially like the military base with its own housing. Love all the houses.  Having plenty of flat land to add more buildings is great too.

Some custom content is coming down with the world, The Scarlet Kitchen, Pure Bathroom and Gaby Bedroom, these are from SimCredible and Simpossible. These are nice things that I didn't have so it's all good; just letting you know in case you didn't mean to include them.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2010 October 24, 21:25:53
Not sure if there is such a thing. However here http://www.4shared.com/dir/17306228/15ed3d2d/TS3.html has a download all files at once button. You will then have to waste precious time unzipping the files, but hey, it's an imperfect world.
7  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2010 July 15, 22:51:39
Try the link in Tarlia's megahood thread. She has clean hoods linked there as well. I haven't actually played them, but I am playing her megahood problem free so far!
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Need Resource.cfg help on: 2009 July 06, 21:54:45
I took my rescource.cfg and mods out to patch, and after the patch it didn't work. I only had a few patterns and the no mosaic mod in, so nothing to cause conflicts. I wasn't using the other file in the framework as I have nothing that needed it, I'm still using a mostly clean game until I know what's what.
So I went looking for a new file and found Delphy has updated the Monkey. I decided to try that and everything is working again.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: "Wait Outside" on: 2009 June 16, 22:48:04
Yes, I have had it at my sims birthday party. All the guests were trying to wash their plates (good guests) but she was blocking the dishwasher with her 'wait outside' action. I just got her to move into another room and then chat to someone. I have only seen it that once, but as she lives alone there is no reason for her to get out of other peoples way.
10  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Clean and fixed Uber-Megahood! FINISHED! on: 2009 April 12, 13:15:25
With my problem.....I have no idea what the dormies name was, but she was just a random dormie not a playable. If I had done as Emma suggested and made her drop out and then moved her in it may have worked. We can assume I fail at useing the teleporter 'sigh'.
I have just run Jimmy Phoenix through Uni. He was able to move a dormie girlfriend in with him successfully back in Pleasantview. She dropped out and transitioned no problem. This was in my test account with only some hacks and cc, so perhaps Samethana is right and the issue is outdated hacks.
So don't worry about this on my account Mixreality, the Megahood is awesome and I'm very happy with it. I seldom have my sims marry dormies anyway. I just felt sorry for lonely old Vidcund. I should have known he'd be more trouble than he is worth!
11  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Clean and fixed Uber-Megahood! FINISHED! on: 2009 April 12, 01:04:17
I've had a similar issue with another dormie. Vidcund got his perfect match from the gypsy matchmaker, a YA the lucky old man. There was no move in option even after getting them in love and the relationship high. So I used Inges teleporter to move her in. She did not transition to adult. Even getting her a job and having her leave for work did not change her. As far as the info panel was concerned she was still a freshman. I just did not save, not knowing how to fix this. I probably should have played her for a few days to see if the issue would self correct, but didn't.
Vidcund gets to live without love......sad but that's life  Wink
I have yet to play anyone through Uni to see if this dormie issue is widespread or not.
12  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: have you ever seen this on: 2009 March 07, 05:21:37
I've installed the 8.10 drivers  Jsalemi mentioned in another post on this topic, and my problem seems to be fixed. I've tested it on the Curious Brothers house removing  all those levels and so far so good.
I have tried the 9.1 but they didn't work for me. When I put in the 8.10 drivers a message came up about 3D settings and prompted me to set them in the Catalyst centre. I chickened out of messing with the advanced settings and hit default.  I'm probably not using all that this card (4870) is capable of now, but at least I can play.
New computers are so stressful!
13  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: have you ever seen this on: 2009 March 05, 23:16:31
I just brought home my new computer and am confronting this very same issue, so baa everyone for the advice. I really should have stuck to Nvidia, at least I knew what I was doing there.
Now before I get carried away and muck up the whole thing, I just need to update the driver? I can leave the Catalyst Software Suite alone? I really would like to not touch that as I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm not even sure what driver version I'm replacing my numbers are 6.11.10.6891 which doesn't match what is on the site at all.

Also reading about the Catalyst Suite it needs the .Net framework to work properly, so I'd better go get that too. New computer has not touched the internet yet and really isn't meant to.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: completely clean install opportunity - What would you do? on: 2009 March 03, 21:39:45
I'm getting a brand new computer, so I'd like to keep it as clean as possible. I guess the easiest way is to open all the pre BV ep's and then just install all the others until I get to M&G. I am too lazy to put in no-cd cracks and then take them out again. I am now on a quest to find no-cd cracks for my other games, just in case they have SecuRom on them too. Most are probably too old but I may as well be careful.
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: completely clean install opportunity - What would you do? on: 2009 March 01, 23:49:01
Do we have to open the game after every ep is installed? Is this to activate each patch?
When I get my new computer I was thinking of installing up to Seasons then opening to make sure everything was fine, then not opening again until the M&G no-cd patch was in. We were secuRom free until Seasons right?
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Buying a new pc... help requested on: 2009 January 15, 22:02:59
Good to know people like the Quad Core. I'll get it then, just a few more dollars to save.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Buying a new pc... help requested on: 2009 January 14, 05:06:26
@ rhldavies and any other Quad core owner: How does the Quad Core play TS2? I can understand that it will probably be great for TS3 as we assume they will write it for multiple cores. But TS2 was written for the single core.
So is your game play with 2 less than it was on a single core computer as it's not using all the power you have, or does having all that extra ram and a newer video card make it better?
I'd hate to upgrade and find out that TS2 played better on my old single core 3.2ghz than it does on a quad core. I'm looking at getting the Q9550 from here http://www.msy.com.au/SYSTEMS/P3.pdf
18  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Art Nouveaulicious Collection on: 2009 January 08, 09:59:21
Ok. Re-downloaded, let's hope third time is a charm.
I've had a quick look at the store and I think all the sculptures are showing up for me. I've got the Calla lily flowers and the Calla lily sulpture. The lady called A careful balance is actually an end table, if that is the one you mean.

Baa everyone.
19  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Art Nouveaulicious Collection on: 2009 January 08, 07:38:02
I rather like the missing middle of the rug. Even if someone posts a fix, I'll keep it like that.
I'm missing the wardrobe from the fixed stuff. Is it just me?
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims3 spec on: 2008 December 17, 23:13:13
The original spec's for TS2 were very low and when the game finally came there was no way it would run on my P3 that met them. So I bought a new computer. It exceeds these current minimum spec's but I really want to see the recommended spec's. Given Rod Humbles vision for Sim City was rubbish, I'm waiting to see if TS3 will be worth the effort and expense to upgrade.
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Anti Virus suggestions on: 2008 November 20, 22:29:36
Thanks folks. Food for thought there. We are also using Stopzillla which seems to pick up things Nortons misses. Anyway, this gives me a few names to look up on the weekend, a little light reading!
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Anti Virus suggestions on: 2008 November 19, 01:15:40
Our Nortons subscription runs out next month and we are thinking of trying something new. This thread   http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,12504.0.html suggests AVG, Advast and Zone Alarm. Is this the current thinking? Anyone have something they just love? It doesn't have to be free, just reliable.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 November 19, 00:50:00
Bugger. Now we have to wait for a new no cd crack. Not that I have the game, yet but still. I wonder why they have done that.
24  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Steampunkish Servos on: 2008 November 19, 00:40:18
Baa PirateFaafy, that doesn't sound too hard. I might just get brave enough to try that this weekend when I get more simming time. akatonbo was correct and all the servo's took the S1 skin tone so I have been looking at default replacements, but they aren't quite right. I really want a blue or something that stands out. Anyway, I've copied your instructions and will hope for the best.
25  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Steampunkish Servos on: 2008 November 17, 05:16:43
The Insim way is nice and easy for those of us who have never used Simpe.
The Independent Teen option is there as an aging option so that was fine. My test Servo was able to get an adult job, move out, even go Downtown and come home in her 'human skin'. So I'm happy.
The only issue I have is that I can't seem to get her into a custom skin, she aged into one of the default skins. I had her made by a sim in a custom skin hoping she would get that, but she didn't. The custom skin chooser hack by Christianlov at MTS2 dosen't work for Servo's, so I might make a few others and see if they will randomly get a custom skin.
