lol, I don't play games to impress OTHER people - I play to impress myself Wink

In any case, the thing I wanna know, is if there's a way to cheat without getting that bastardy joker badge <_<

True that; and screwing over their legal customers in a vain attempt to stop pirates.  Like by not allowing one to manually download the patch from the website and forcing him/her to login to the game to get it.  I said a few choice words the other night (see above post) and scared my boyfriend with my anger (he's used to most of it by now, though).
Besides, how stupid do you have to be to bork the game beyond all recognition by a PATCH which you then must fix with another patch?  Idiotic.  Though, again, I haven't come to expect much more from EA, though it does make me a little sad that they brain-slugged Will Wright as well.

lol, please, the Dark Lord of Maxis is hardly free of blame here. If he actually cared about gamers or ANYTHING beyond the sacred dollar he wouldn't have used the DRM - simple as that.

Maybe he just really hates himself...

Space is the all around best part of the game - except, unlike the other stages, it gets dull quick because the best part gets repetitive. I'm glad the EP will expand on that - making the ending more 'expansive' so that you can do more with your ship.

The Grox are obnoxious, but they give us Sporians a meaning for our madness so I guess we can keep 'em around... at least until we figure out how to wipe them from the face of the galaxy ^^

Personally I ain't all that surprised that Eaxis are already pooping out a new EP/SP

Back in the days of Maxis on its own the EP's/SP's were just as useless as the newer one's but they took longer because Maxis was small. Now that its Eaxis they've got the manpower to bork the game with useless crap that much faster Wink

We can make it faster... junkier... crappier... which says a lot about me 'cause I'm ape for the game... don't it folks?

EA and Maxis are too busy buggering their games to actually do anything about Pirates Wink

Personally I wish there was more people could do about the DRM than just trolling the amazon site.

Despite the songs the DRM cults sing about 'putting a stop to its evil' they're helping EA more than hurting... people read about the game being bashed by the various sects and think 'boy they sure are being rude and knocking the hell out of that game... I wonder if its really that bad?' then they see movies on YouTube, count the member number on the Spore site (up in the millions, three namely) and before long the Spore game has users by the billions and is one of the top games sold.

Any publicity, in the modern market, is good publicity. EA realizes this... I wouldn't be all that surprised if they never do a thing about the DRM because its HELPING the games selling numbers. If we really wanted to them stop we wouldn't buy the game, wouldn't pirate it either because that helps EA keep its policy on 'enforcing' the protection of the game. I'm not pointing fingers here or anything - I'm just as guilty and I love the game - I'm just saying that bashing the game on Amazing ain't hurting EA its helping it...

As for Spore - or Splotch - itself, shes a solid game. As TS2 was when it first came out its bare... but, I'm sure everyone realized this, its one of Will Wrights creations... the man loves his expansion packs and despite what fans may think about Will Wright being 'forced' to use the DRM he's just as fortune happy as EA is. What it REALLY comes down to is how much more us gamers are really willing to take before we stop jumping around on sites like Amazon - performing like dancing monkeys for the benefit of EA whether we realize it or not - and actually DO something about the DRM.
