I second the request for an updated anti-prank mod, these little imps are driving me nuts.

Had some minor success with this tonight.  I have Doc Doofus' size limit mod, but was running into problems with the Move In interaction and combining households from the NH view.  I don't actually remember whether either of these were possible before with Doc Doofus' mod alone, since I usually just use the mod to keep Try for Baby going.

Anyway, I tried setting TotalSims, TotalHumans, and TotalPets to 20.  I was then able to combine two recent Uni grads into a household with 8 sims and one pet, from NH view.  So far no FBVFS.

I still can't do the move in interaction without getting the max household limit pop-up, though.

P.S.  I left Doc Doofus' hack in the entire time, not sure whether it was necessary.

I really really hope these do what it looks like they might, as I've been having problems with Doc Doofus' size limit hack since the expansion.

Been waiting for this game for five years, at least.  Always sounded interesting to me, so I'm eager to see if it lives up to the original hype.  And yeah, a break from Nightlife would be welcomed. Wink

Not particularly on topic, but can some of the professed hair collectors recommend a few good sites?  A fair percentage of the custom jobs I've seen have been more repulsive than the Maxis 'dos (and that says a lot, as I'm convinced many of the Maxis hairstyles were taken from bad French runway models).  Any suggestions are appreciated.

This may be obvious as I proceed, but any thoughts on unique household names?  Real bear in my neighborhood that many households have the same name. I'm curious what other people are doing.  I guess I could make them numeric... March 1, March 2, March 3....

Two suggestions.  What I've been doing is using the last name, plus the lot name.  One of my lots, for instance, is Fatabs Alpine Lodge, another is Fatabs 3 Burberry Lane.  Going numeric like you were thinking might actually be useful, though, if you wanted to keep track of what generation the household was at a glance.

My other suggestion is, if most of your households contain a married couple, do use the last name and the maiden name.  Williams-Hart, Smith-Skyart, whatever.  Just a thought. Smiley

I've put in three full families so far, everything works great.  I particularly like the reports...should make it nice and easy to print the info for use during the game, and it's a lot more legible than my own handwriting. Wink

One minor suggestion/request for future versions...would it be possible to add something to keep track of loves/crushes?  Something along the lines of the marriage/partner input would be great, since then entering it once would make it viewable for both Sims.  Right now I'm just keeping track of loves in the notes area, but something a little more structured would be nice. Smiley

Thanks again for the program, it's a definite paper saver.

Yes!  My free evening will not go to waste!  Thank you. Smiley

This has nothing to do with romance or lovers, but personally I love the ecological guru career. A pregant female can make 70K a week with perfectly timed pregancies. She still racks up a load of vacation and makes a fortune.

I too am curious as to how this works.  I'm not normally into the Uni careers and don't think I've even had an ecological guru.

ETA:  Never mind, I'm dense and didn't notice Nectere already answered the question.  Disregard!

Any chance for a status update?  I've got a free evening and would just looooove to spend it databasing my Simmies.  On a Saturday night.  My life is sad.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How does a dormie get a degree? on: 2005 September 13, 19:31:04
I have most of my Sims marry dormies...I'll usually have them romance while in the dorm, not taking control of the dormie, then move my Sim back to the n-hood upon graduation.  She/he asks the dormie to move in, then they marry.

I'm not positive, but in my experience, if the dormie in question was actually a resident in the dorm the entire time my Sim was, then the dormie comes with a degree.  If the dormie was NOT a resident in the same Sims dorm (just visited the lot, or my Sim got their number from the directory), then they do NOT come with a degree.  So I tend to limit my potential matches to dormies living on the lot in question.

So I'm curious, what problems do people have when moving in townies/NPCs (aside from the Mystery Sim thing already mentioned)?  The majority of my Sims end up marrying and living with townies, and I've never had a noticable problem.   Huh
