I think that's just how the game goes. I have 6 gigs of RAM and I still have a rather choppy game. I think you are right about the snow, it would make sense that that would slow the computer down.
But, yeah, I honestly just think this is what we signed up for when we installed the game.

Has anybody come across the game locking up randomly when using the speed keys? Since I updated to the newest AM the game will occassionally freeze when I switch between speeds which then forces me to shut down my game from Task Manager. The rest of my computer is fine, it's not like my whole machine locks up, just the game.
Trees and plants still sway in the breeze and visual effects such as stink lines still animate but the game and time do not progress and nothing can be clicked on.
I'm going to redownload AM to make sure I really do have the latest version but I thought I'd just ask in the mean time.
That has happened to me a few times. It can usually be resolved by just waiting it out. I've come to assume it's just the game loading something. Only twice have I given up waiting it out and forced it to quit. |

i didn't ask for a grammer lesson, just how to use the mod, before you tell me about my grammer hadn't you better fix your own. more isn't spelt moar, its more and before you ask yes i did search about it but found nothing, to say if it allows emigration.

There was an issue with NVidia's new drivers not controlling the fans properly, which would cause overheating. If I were you, I'd Google that and see which driver had the problem, then see which driver you have. If you have the bad one, roll back to the old driver.

I got one of these yesterday. Luckily I was able to roll back to a previous autosave that didn't have this problem, but I figured I'd post this here anyway to see if I can find out what I did wrong: http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/1975/fsed.pngIt started happening every few seconds after I forced some homeless families to move, so I assume it had something to do with that. Also, if I tried to send a sim home, they would just idle indefinitely with it in their queue. I was unable to cancel out the action. |
