That's exactly what I meant. Thanks!
2  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / I haven't broken it yet, but its inevitable. on: 2009 January 02, 21:38:58
I'm back! After disappearing for a while, I have returned with yet another 12ishly stupid question! YAY!!! Something to point and laugh at! Here it is:

Is it safe to delete neighborhood terrains? Specifically ones that came with the game? I fail and Google, and I epic!phail at searching this site. *Hides while awaiting a response*
It wouldn't be the first time I caused a BFBVFS, okay... it wouldn't even be the tenth time... but I really want to get rid of some of those god-awful terrains that do nothing but take up space. Please help teh noob! Please?

Sincerely,

~Tralala

Lulz, good point.
4  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Watch Me Make This Cheat Box Disappear! on: 2008 October 12, 23:16:55
Did you just update your HP? Because I did this morning and the exact same thing happened to me. This topic saved me from bashing in my monitor.  Tongue
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's on YOUR Wish List? on: 2008 October 11, 01:16:26
Have a sim pose in front of the door to the kitchen, while the other sim starts the fire by cooking badly. Then the firefighters can't get through.
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I can haz 2 problemz?!? Awesome people, please help me! on: 2008 October 11, 01:10:52
Change them? I just spawn ones I like and click save. Then spawn more. If I don't like one, I exit without saving.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I can haz 2 problemz?!? Awesome people, please help me! on: 2008 October 11, 00:19:29
Thanks, but since I've already gone through the process of redoing all the NPCs the hard way, I'm not gunna redo it. If I redo my neighborhood, I'll use that.

BTW, can you use one sim for multiple surgeries? Like, a base face sim, not an NPC.
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I can haz 2 problemz?!? Awesome people, please help me! on: 2008 October 10, 21:45:29
Rather than spawning and deleting ugly NPC, why dont you just let the game generate the NPC's, get some nice looking sims you either made or downloaded, dress them in the appropriate attire/uniforms and then perform surgery on the NPC's.

Then put your new playable sims into alot and change their hair/clothes/makeup to what you want.

Because I epically Phail at SimPE, and don't want a BFBVFS to occur... a 5th time... Undecided
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Need the no shoplifting hack on: 2008 October 09, 00:15:17
At one point this feature may be been planned, but seems to have been cut. There were vestigial references to a "Security" badge. I can see why this was cut: Either you'd get an entire neighborhood where EVERYONE is a thief, which seems quite ridiculous, or you'd have designated shoplifter NPCs, and Obvious Cat would be Obvious.

They could have had it depend upon a sim's aspiration level... unhappy sims more likely to shoplift.

Or very happy, ridiculously giddy sims that don't think they'll get caught.

Oh, wait, sims don't think at all.  Grin
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: In need of a no spawning social townies hack on: 2008 October 07, 00:43:43
Stupid townies. I have never understood why EAxis thinks that our games need to be populated with barf-worthy hideous, uncontrollable, possibly mentally ill idiots. And now their in social groups! Yay! Roll Eyes
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I can haz 2 problemz?!? Awesome people, please help me! on: 2008 October 07, 00:39:57
Not this thread, no. But I have learned to never ever post anything political ever.  Cheesy It actually wasn't that bad, though.  Grin

Nope, its a string of names, actually.  Grin

EDIT: Removed because of Jolrei's helpful post. And I'm okay with the nickname.

trlaavh - which is a stupid username to type, BTW - I was talking to talysman, the poster immediately before me. If I were addressing you, I would have put your name.

Yes, but I voiced my understanding of this post:
Do not kill them, save each time after you kept one so when you spawn an ugly one you dont want to keep you can exit to neighborhood screen without save, this leaves no rubbish while killing them does.

... here:

Exiting without saving is going to take forever. Great...  Roll Eyes

... and what do you mean by "Dense", talysman?

So? You voiced an understanding of a post and I shouldn't post? WTF are you going on about? This isn't all about you, you know. I was adding pertinent information as to the consequences. D'uh.

I know what talysman means by dense, however.

Sorry. Heh, yeah, it is a stupid name. I'm not even sure how one would pronounce it outloud. I only used it because the name thing on this site didn't allow t.r.l.a.a.v.h., which I understand.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I can haz 2 problemz?!? Awesome people, please help me! on: 2008 October 05, 00:21:27
I guess I didn't explain myself thoroughly. I made them with the NPC gun one at a time, 'kill'ing the ones that were spawned ugly. I went through all EPs worth of spawning lists, and redid some NPCs multiple times until they came out descend looking.

...

So as you can see, for 240 NPCs (I did a few multiples) this took forever.

It was this post that prompted my comment.

What? Deleteing? I completely restart hoods from scratch whenever I get an EP. I start from an empty terrain file, with empty templates, and build everything from scratch.  Whatever hood I use before the next EP, I delete the whole thing. Redo all my sims, redo all the houses... you get the picture of how time consuming it is. As you can probably guess, I am immensely happy that AL is the last one.  Grin

Shoplifting would be more realistic, though.  Grin

I went through all EPs worth of spawning lists, and redid some NPCs multiple times until they came out descend looking. This took a heck of a lot of time. I have Sim PE installed, but I have no clue how to use it. I did not generate any townies, because i hate townies, and have notownieregen to fix the problem. It went something like this:

*spawns mailcarrier*
Ew!
*delete*
*spawns mailcarrier*
Ew!
*delete*
*spawns mailcarrier*
Ew!
*delete*
*spawns mailcarrier*
Ew!
*delete*
*spawns mailcarrier*
Ew!
*delete*
*spawns mailcarrier*
Finally!
*Save*

So as you can see, for 240 NPCs (I did a few multiples) this took forever.

I figured it was something like that. I hate those stupid dormies. Anything for the second problem, anyone? That's the one I'm more interested in, truthfully.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / I can haz 2 problemz?!? Awesome people, please help me! on: 2008 October 04, 02:49:53
One, I have this freaky OCD-thing when it comes to the Sims 2, where I have to build all my buildings before I move in any Sims. I've heard some weird thing about apartments, like the non-playables will just sit in their apartments magically gaining needs? I fixed that by downloading Inge's signs from Simlogical. I also updated all my CC, and got the AL fix from Pescado.

So, my first problem is: What else must I do/download before moving in sims, and is there anything I should look out for???

Two, one of the very first things I do in a neighborhood is make one sim, and move them into a lot. Then I use debug mode to create all my NPCs. I hate the EAxis ugly ones. Now, I've never seen anyone do this before, so I'm awaiting the "No one's ever done it because it CAN'T be done!!!" comments, which I'm almost positive is the case.

So Problem Two: Is it possible to upload my neighborhood character files to a Sims 2 site ( Like MTS2 ) so other people can use the NPCs? Is there more I'd have to upload than the character files? Would I simply cause a downloadable BFBVFS?

Please help me!  Cry

Haha, yeah, except for that I meant that the walls and stuff of my sims' homes could burn. Not mine! Gah, that would SUCK!!! lolz.

They left they're computers, and just screamed at the flames.
And I was responding to Yecats, not you.

I know. I was responding to both, and applying my situation to Gastfyr's, and stating how much better my situation had been.  Cheesy

lulz... nice. Roll Eyes

Sadly, this fine piece this content is better than 99.99999999879994299939% of the stuff on TSR. I should know... I calculated.

No, not really. Tongue
24  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: My Game is Bork, but I'm pretty sure it's not my fault. on: 2008 October 01, 01:54:52
Or the problem could be strictly related to game stoop1dn3ss. No, really:

worker dude 1: *making discs* I'm Bored! *whines and pouts*
worker dude 2: Heh heh! Start borking disceses! Then we can reads about its on teh internet!
worker dude 1: YAYz! Dats teh Goodest idea! *Writes random code about a flying purple hamster onto the AL game that you happened to get*

Seriously, would anyone be surprised???
I had a Sims 1 Complete edition disc with a that-disc-only glitch where everything could burn. By everything I mean walls, wallpaper, flooring, windows, ceiling lights, and already-burned-ash.
25  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Sims2 + no internet connection = (*^&@#*(#@&#%_^%(&*@#$&*(!!! on: 2008 October 01, 01:44:00
So if EAxis can't phone home it kills your computer?! Wow, that totally happened to me, only I LOST my WHOLE computer. I had the Sims 2, (I don't remember which stuff packs) and all EPs through BV. There was a faulty wiring issue-thingy with my computer, so the internet-connector-thing (I phail at comp terminology Grin) died, then the game died, and then 'they' sent my computer back and I got a new one because they said my whole computer was doomed to die!

Thank you! Now I know what happened! Although it doesn't make sense... Undecided
