An override and a full clone are available in that folder.

This works as intended for me.  And also removed the number plate after removing the file and deleting my compositorCache.  Positive your deleting the right cache package?  And are you rebuying the car, or are you looking at one already purchased on a lot?

To retain your joints right click on the GMDC in SimPE and choose Export.  In Milkshape choose Import/Sims 2 UniMesh Import V4.09A.  Make your mesh changes (assign joints as needed) then export the same way.  In SimPE right click the GMDC again and choose Import.  To change the rotation of a joint you will need to alter the values in the CRES.

It's possible Gelydh hasn't patched ALL games so the previous EP's haven't been updated to allow shifting.   Also, any mods for recategorizing, enabling any presets, disabling presets, or changing linked textures are using the old OBJD resource and so it needs to be updated to support the shifting.

Changing the scriptclass is not enough for these.  They have the wrong instance numbers for the dds images.  They need to be changed in the Materials list as well as the TGI to point to the images in the package rather than a different package.

Windows 7 uses Libraries, so what you see is the public documents and my documents.  You can remove the public documents from that library if it confuses you.  Tongue  In Library Right click Documents / Properties then remove the public documents folder.   As for the screenshots, try disabling desktop composition for the game.  Right click / Properties / Compatibility / for the .exe that you start the game with.  You may also want to disable themes.

Did you also verify that C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore is empty and no mods were written there?  Are you trying the game without the framework installed?

menaceman - Try using the filter option is s3pe using that instance number.  I use custard and open the original to find the instance then search in the dbc files.

Do you think you could post the direct link for the Mac version?

From what I've seen so far it's the orchid vase and foosball table which seem to cause an issue.  I've got someone saying that my Lack shelves are causing blue lots, and I cloned them from the knick knack shelf.  I don't have WA or the latest patch, anyone up to verifying this for me?

http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=379735

Edit:  I just found the knick knack shelf as a possible issue on Amjoie's list, so I suppose I answered my own question. :/
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BHAV help? on: 2009 May 09, 22:59:09
Damn.  Was really hoping one of you knew.

I just figured it out with the CT - Support when I added that line to my stairs and tried it with the stages.  So I had to go through the stairs I do have and I found that Reyn's work.  So when I looked at her package I noticed the BHAV for allowing sim/object intersection.  Made sense in theory, execution is a whole other matter.

ETA:  I got the information I was missing from Numenor.  I was missing the link from the OBJF init to my new BHAV.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / BHAV help? on: 2009 May 08, 14:00:27
I have a set of modular stairs that I am making open underneath and I would like sims and objects to be allowed underneath the first support.  I have added in this package, and others, the CT - Support BHAV as listed by LordDarcy.  But this doesn't work with stages.  If I have the modular stairs land on a stage (to create L shaped stairs) the stage somehow nullifies the CT - Support BHAV, or changes what it thinks the bridge is.  So I added an additional BHAV, which I thought was pointing to the middle (bridge) to allow for sim/object intersection.  This BHAV is the same as what I have added to objects to allow sim/object intersection and it works.  But it does not work for my stairs.

Would anyone who understands BHAVs more than me, which is everyone  Tongue , help me to understand this?  here
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Enabling CC objects for the Quarter Tile Placement Cheat on: 2009 April 08, 18:42:46
The package has been fixed and updated, I no longer have the one that didn't work.  And yes I am sure it was the OBJD.  I expected it either in OBJD or a BHAV, maybe CRES.  The OBJD has the grid alignment and number of tile requirements in it, and was the easiest to replace without conflicts so I did that first.  That was from an OBJD that was cloned with M&G installed.

Couches and such can be used off grid and diagonal.  Some dining chairs can't be.  I have no idea regarding desks, but I thought that they were *not* usable off grid or diagonal.  Since the slot for the chair seems to disappear on diagonal.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Enabling CC objects for the Quarter Tile Placement Cheat on: 2009 April 05, 21:27:57
Yes I am sure.  Smiley  I have read only *some* objects may not be usable.  I think this cheat is much more useful for the decorator than the player.  But nevertheless, one actually has to enable this when playing so it's not as if it will render the objects unusable.

I've looked at a few other objects and so far it seems the only requirement is to clone when you have M&G installed and not necessarily ticked in the file table.  Yet they still don't require M&G.  I have a tester who has only up to BV and all objects work for her and a user with all up to M&G.  But I would like to know how to enable this without re-cloning them.  While doable, it's still tedious.
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Enabling CC objects for the Quarter Tile Placement Cheat on: 2009 April 03, 19:09:10
Is there a way to take a custom object and enable the use of this cheat?  I have a one tile desk that the only way I could enable this was to reclone the desk with M&G ticked in the preferences in the file table.  I then extracted the OBJD and added it to my base+IKEA item, changing the appropriate values to make it base game compatible.  Then the quarter tile placement would work.  I cannot find in the OJBD what is allowing this to work or not work.  I was guessing that it really isn't in a package but in the game coding to reflect all items, since base game items are usable with this cheat.

Was this a glitch in my package because I had removed part of the footprint?  Or because I added a slot?
16  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: White Lattice Deck on: 2009 February 05, 23:27:42
I did post this over in the Scriptorium thread.  Since I play on a Mac I'm used to updating these manually.  Smiley  Besides, I could have sworn text files were overwritten when a new EP was installed.  I was confused about your txt file compared to mine, until I read what ClicknPyscho posted.  Then it made sense.

I was playing with this over a year ago, but I couldn't get it to work.  I was missing the package files so nothing ever would show up for me.  I did not realize custom foundations/decks have been made.  Any links to others?
17  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: White Lattice Deck on: 2009 February 05, 20:01:10
Confusing directions.  But I have gotten it to work.  I changed some things to make it do so because I don't want duplicates in my text files.

1.  You have this set as a foundation and not a deck, therefore you cannot place on top of a foundation or other deck.  Of course I want it to function as a deck.  Grin

Updated script to make it a deck:

50_WhiteDeck.txt
Quote
catalogTextResource 50_WhiteDeck 138

buildTipIndices 5 5

deck 50
wallStyle 200
floorPattern "deckDarkRedwood"
supportObject 0xAA75A097
supportObjectUpperLevel 0x9EDE28AE
catalogTextIndices 0 1

2.  To make rounded corners pool corners work and custom foundations.  Move the scriptorium line from the base game deckfoundations.txt to your latest ep's deckfoundations.txt.  Seems very redundant to take the scripts from later ep's and add them to the base game, thereby doubling the scripts.  Huh  The remainder of the scriptorium I left in base game TSData since they work.

I have not extensively tested this, but I have spent about a half hour building with this.  I only have a couple of custom modular stairs, and I have not tested this with Numenor's fences.  Mostly since I hesitate to use anything that cannot be packaged with a lot.
18  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Art Nouveaulicious Collection on: 2009 January 21, 02:07:39
Thanks for your effort seelindarun.  I had already fixed my own copy, but I'm sure other Mac users and those without FT will like that.  I have not tested mine with Uni nor OFB, but I don't play business lots anyway.

19  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Art Nouveaulicious Collection on: 2009 January 20, 06:36:07
So I r-edownloaded it to make sure I had the newest version.  The bookcase still has no interactions, I can't click on it at all.  Everything from this collection shows up fine, granted I haven't double checked the usability other than placing.

I am using OSX with all EPs up to BV installed.  There must be something else in the bookcase pointing to an EP I don't have.  Did FT add something that would render the clickable options useless?
20  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Art Nouveaulicious Collection on: 2009 January 19, 21:51:07
The bookcase doesn't appear to have any options for me.  Does it work for anyone else?
21  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Art Nouveaulicious Collection on: 2009 January 16, 15:45:00
I have all EPs up to BV for my mac and they work.  And no crashes in the lamp area either.
22  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Fix for the Lunatech "Lighten Up" Lighting Fixture now really "Build in Ceiling" on: 2008 October 10, 21:04:47
This lamp was seriously in the way.  I just exported the mesh to fix it for myself, but you say you only had to modify the cres?  I shall have to learn this.  Does this mean it could be done with wall lamps as well?

Your a genius.
