I haven't been playing for several months. So, I have no idea when you could start logging in for achieve-ables. Since I'm an xbox whore this is intriguing. I was wondering if this was some other sneaky way to detect shiny things?

I was wondering if there is a way to check which region the patch I previously installed was from? The main launcher never came up when i first installed Sims3, and without the main launcher I cant download patches from the sims 3 website. So I came here to download the patches a looong while ago. Now that I'm trying to update everything before the new ep I found out the the new patches I downloaded are from the wrong region.

So, I was wondering if anyone knew somewhere that has patches from other regions, how I can find out where the ones I have are from, or if I can just start over from scratch after uninstalling sims3?

I did that, and I got it from here back when the game first came out. I just haven't figured a way to get it in my game. I followed two different approaches I found on here months ago, it just never worked.

I know you don't need it. But I feel, I was dumb enough to pay 60$ or w/e I paid for the game it should work in all aspects.

But I got my keychain, and mods to make it better, so I guess I don't care as much about the launcher as I did when I got it.

Still, it'd be nice to know why it doesn't work.



Still haven't figured out how to get Riverview too....Having the launcher in the first place would make it so I wouldn't have to worry about little crap like that...

Well, while I'm asking questions I might as well ask about the launcher. Has anyone figured out why it doesn't work for some people?

I had Sims3 on my computer for a while. The arred then uninstalled that and installed a store bought version which worked fine except the launcher not working. I stopped playing it when I couldn't install the first patch for some reason so I could continue using Awesome mod.

Tonight I completely uninstalled everything so I could start fresh and I can not install it now...

So, has anyone gotten these errors before?

I realize it was not his fault, but it occured in my game so I took it out and it fixed the problem. Period.

I also realized after reading some things over I figured that in trying not to bork my game out of stupidity by downloading things that conflict...I ended up deleting everything then I put in the config file w/o replacing the awesomemod with the new one out.

And just to ask before hand, how many sims can you have before your game is expected to explode?

Eh. Seem like awesomemod has no effect on anything in my game. I'm sure I installed it right, since i did it the same way I did before more features and the like were added.

I guess trying to get that 9th/10th member isn't worth my game cooperating with me for once.

Never mind. I found that awesome mod has that now. Hopefully it'll work right in my game this time. The first time I got Awesomemod it made it so my sims nights froze for long periods of time.....

But If anyone happens to know a hack just only makes it so you can have more than 8, I'd still like to see/try it out.

Has anyone come across a hack that allows more than 8 members in the house...weither it be intentional or a side affect of said mod?

I searched around a bit and found the 3viewer and the compressorizer...but I'm not sure If I should be using this instead of the launcher since it gave me an error when i tried to install the limited edition car thing.

Can someone direct me to the right thread to help me?

Well I can play the game just fine, just wanted the launcher to work so i can get the new crap hair they put out that i haven't Arred yet.(Can't use those either w/o the launcher)  But thank you for trying to help me. I'll just have to wait for the fuckers to fix it. -sigh-

Sorry about that. When I try to open it windows says it has encountered a problem and needs to close. I was trying to run it from the shortcut the game makes when installed, it does the same with the launcher icon in the program files.

I bought the limited edition pack for the flashdrive although I had pirated it before hand. The launcher didn't work with the Arred copy (Not sure if it was supposed to) or with the official one...and I want my free bullshit I get for actually buying it. I didn't see any post so far about this here so far and ea help section is no help at all, not that it's surprising.

So, has anyone had this problem and has fixed it?

I was "studying" how to make a house awesomespec and I came accross a way to make my pets to eat from their bowls by placing them in a tiny room made just for them, apo. So I searched for APO and I came to think its a hack, then I came to think its not...Or it could be some awesome thing I might not be able to do with explaination since Im not that  awesome. Google just gave me pages in maty mentioning it but I still dont understand anything what-so-ever.

So what is APO? How can I use it? What do I need for it? What else can I do with it?

Or to make it more simple, where can I read about it in depth by myself?

Sims wont start with the neighborhood in it, and I cant seem to get any new lots in a clean neighborhood to get past a loading screen so I have to try figuring out whats going on with this before I can even try to fix the spinning crap.

Well I had this problem before with a ingame created sim that turned plant sim also, so I'm sure it wasn't just the fact that it came the tsr.

And I'm really trying not to be pissy, but that person wasn't helping, they were pointing out something that I already addressed. If I wasn't clear, that's all they had to say. It just seemed to me that they were being a smartass. If they weren't then I'm sorry, and you can blame it on the woman troubles I don't have. :/

Yeah, I'm not that retarded. I've done this before. I did anwser her, I just didn't quote her and say "Oh look." Like I said, I know its something in my downloads folder because I HAD to take it all out seeing that after I took a certain folder out Sims would not load at all, and with everything gone she stopped spinning. But I'm not going to search all the web finding everything I ever downloaded just because I can't finsh the binary search and my plant sims wont act normal. I'm about to just give up and say fuck you tsr challenges and not make plant sims anymore since everything else is working just fine.
Eh, If sims wasn't the only thing keeping me from going postal at work or at school, I wouldn't bother trying to fix all the "suprises" it gives me everytime I get a new EP.

But I wish I had a book or video...growing up in Las Vegas back then when you can put phone sex/cigarette/porn adds in newspapers and on tv during the day time...It wasn't all that hard to figure out why the hooker next to the homeless shelter has a baby bump after you happen to hear "Sex makes babies" randomly from someone's parents.

Well my computer/game is being more retarded since I took out almost every thing. I started fresh, letting the game make everything new again after I got impatient and took a big chunk of downloads out...

But for some reason now that only about 2% of my downloads are still in there it doesn't want to load the lot and if I put the giant file back in that I JUST took out, sims gives me an error pop up that is a blank box that says "sims."

So, I put the neighborhood back in (after starting fresh) and tried it with the hacks in but not enabled yet (might as well check before starting it over and checking again) and she seems to be working fine since she didn't start spinning after I let it play for about a minute.

Good thing: I know that's its something in there. And its nothing that I downloaded after I got ft. (Which is a lot 'o shit.)
Bad thing: Don't know wtf it is and how to get the 50/50 dance over with if the lot wont load.....
