Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Story Driver Beta-Testing reports

It would seem to me that having to switch to each individual household and manually place a crib just to give the family a chance of having kids defeats the whole purpose of a story driver. If I'm going to be messing with each and every house, I might as well just have them Try for Baby while I'm there and be done with it. I need a story driver that will keep the non-played families going without my input, which is why I'm still using the Indie Stone driver.

I think you're "supposed" to put them in bowls as soon as they are caught and keep them alive until you have all 13. That's what I did, and the wish fulfilled as soon as I stocked the 13th bowl. I guess they didn't realize that people would try to avoid having to feed them by keeping them in their inventory until they had all 13.

The only one I've had was named Wayne. He had long hair, a biker jacket, and pajama pants, but he actually did a great job looking after the two babies and two toddlers. He just went from crib to crib doing exactly what each kid needed him to do, then went around and tidied up the house until the parents got home. I thought EA had actually managed to make functional nannies, but I guess it was a fluke.

My roofs have been @Toaded I can't see the roofs on houses I'm either playing or building. I can see the NEIGHBORS' roofs, though, both in live mode and build mode. After I play or enter a house to build, the roof "disappears" forever. I took a house from the lot bin and placed it on an empty lot. I never entered the house, but the thumbnail in the lot description is missing a roof Before I placed the house, it definitely had a roof. A few people have posted about this on the BBS, but not many. Has anyone else here seen this? I'm having the same problem. I can see roofs on premade houses in the map view and on lots far away, but when I get close they disappear. Houses that I build have invisible roofs even in the map view. What kind of graphics card are you using, Elvie? I'm running the game on Intel integrated graphics for now, so that may be what's causing it.

My favorite parts of this letter: 1. It is addressed to "More Awesome Than You". 2. "...your website www.moreawesomethanyou.com ('the Site')..." WTF? Do people refer to MATY as "the Site" now? 3. It's signed "Very truly yours". How inappropriately personal of them. Edit: Doh! My ignorance, let me show you it. I still say "very truly yours" is silly, though.

You only need the latest versions of everything. You should also install all of the other EA patches. Pescado doesn't bother fixing every little bug that has already been addressed in an official patch.

So you knew about teh evilz of SecuROM and decided to let it infest your system anyway? Well, surprise! It does exactly what everyone has been saying it does.
Get rid of both SecuROM and Norton and never let either of them near your computer again. I use the free version of AVG, and have had no problems running it alongside The Sims 2.
