I don't know why, but reinstalling the world fixed the problem. Baaa!

I'm currently using your version of Sunset Valley, and something prevents my sims from moving in and out of Doo Peas Corporate Towers lot. If I move my sims on that lot via teleport, they have no problem entering the building itself. Does anyone else experience this?

Could you enable professions to plumbots? I can't understand why it was disabled in the first place, even with Office Drone chip installed.
4  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 April 08, 21:47:49
Not exactly a bug report, but newly uploaded AM zip file contains only newly updated manual along with 31th March AM. Is this intended?

Ah, never mind. I checked the tips thread and got it.
5  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 March 28, 09:46:05
After trying new version:

1. Sims still don't use chair/sofa when assigned to watch tv in most cases.
2. Sims still don't completely empty their bladder if they bought 'Steel Bladder' LTR.
3. Genies have always Face One even though 'NoVanillaPudding' is enabled.

---------
After some more testing, I found sims properly using chairs while watching TV only when the TV is in a moderate distance away. When the TV is too far, they prefer standing instead.

And when I got 10 additional lamps through cheating and summon the genies one by one, #1~3 had face one and #4 didn't. Apparently it was solely my bad luck.
6  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2012 March 22, 12:01:15
Can you give us an option to remove the sparkling effect from genie cleaning? Every time I use it, that effect causes serious lag for several in-game hours.

I don't know whether this bug existed before 'cause I've never used SC on a sim with a profession, but here it goes ... One of my sim is a PI working on a case, and he has to question 3 sims about some missing wallet. It is early morning so I decide to let him learn a gardening skill rather than housecalling for questioning. But when I activate SC on him and select 'skill: gardening' tone, he runs to some neighbor's pet horse and continuously tries to ask it about wallet.

I want video of this! That is fucking awesome.
Pescado already fixed this. Now my PI can actually get information from horses. I love this update!

Can your InteractionTweaks be used with Buzzler's 'Moar Interactions?' Both seems to change the same XML file, but both mods are very attractive to me, I can't choose just one so I had to ask even if it's a foolish question.

I read somewhere that a new mixologist is assigned when you replace the existing bar, so I tried it while my sim was there by 'Buy On This Lot.' A new mixologist is assigned alright, but he/she wouldn't go behind bar tending it, just mingled with other guests. After several replacements all going futile I went to edit town during closed hour and replaced the bar again, and the next open hour the game assigned a brand new mixologist who was properly working.

It's not exactly a bug, but ever since installing LN my sim was hit by meteor twice while in rabbithole. First it was grocery store, and not much happened besides the shop unusable for days and my sim singed. but this time the meteor warning came while my sim was working in the bistro, and I made her leave the building immediately and run a block away. And...

Now all her coworkers are dead. (The game didn't make a new boss because I did not try to meet him/her.)
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 April 10, 08:45:34
So, I'm trying Awesomemod, and I'm not quite sure how to see if its working or not, because I'm fairly sure I set Awesomemod to show relationships as Numbers, but they aren't showing up like that. I have the framework installed, another Awesome-made mod that I know works... so I'm not entirely sure wtf I'm doing wrong.

On 'Relationship' panel, you can see the thumbnail of the sims your sim knows. And relationship bar under each thumbnail. And a friendship status icon under the relationship bar. Move the cursor over that icon, and if AM is working properly you can see the number.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How to place opened tent? on: 2009 December 24, 01:10:48
Then how about making a dummy sim, move the sim in the empty lot, buy some tents in the debug mode and place them in the community location? You can then save that community lot to the library and evict & remove the dummy sim. Damn, it's too much effort, though.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How to place opened tent? on: 2009 December 24, 01:00:23
I can't find the way to do that in Buy mode, but you can try:

1. Select the household you play.
2. Select the sim that has some tents in his/her inventory.
3. Move the camera to the location you want to put the tent in. (You don't have to move the sim itself.)
4. Open the inventory, click the tent and click 'Place.'
5. Put the tent down.

Sorry if it was too obvious.

Disappearing and invisible Pangu's axes are in my game. My sim could not finish "The Axe" adventure because of this. I searched Sims 3 forums to find out exactly where Pangu's axe is supposed to be located in the Temple of heaven. I used a debug cheat so that I could go to buy mode while my sim was at the Temple of Heaven. In buy mode, Pangu's Axe suddenly became visible on the wall (where it is supposed to be located). I was excited---I finally had found Pangu's axe. My excitement turned into disappointment quickly, because when I went back to live mode, the Pangu's axe was invisible again and my sim could not interact with it. This is a very annoying bug, because my sims need that Pangu's Axe to smash boulders on their adventures. Out of desperation, I tried to get Pangu's axe the easy way by using buydebug (in buy mode). When I put Pangu's axe on the wall it was visible, but after going back to live mode, Pangu's axe disappeared. Help! I've been trying to figure out what went wrong with Pangu's axe in my game and how can this be fixed. The only two mods I have in my game are Awesomemod and Twallan's Supercomputer. I'm really baffled.

Shift-click on the area and select 'Buy on this lot,' and you can see the axe. Pick up the axe in the buy menu and drop it in its place again. Return to the play mode, now you can see the axe in the proper place. This particular quest item seems to be borked, because if you ever went through this quest and picked it up once, the axe vanishes from the wall even when you start a fresh neighborhood. You can still see it on the wall when you go to the buy menu, though.

Upgrading fortune cookie maker borks my journal in handiness section - that section becomes completely blank.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Does it always take forever for 1.7 games to load? on: 2009 December 04, 14:57:24
I have a very outdated machine with only 2 GB of RAM, and suffered from unbearably long loading time ever since I installed the newest patch. Even toggling map view was a pain. I didn't have much CC to begin with, only some of the store contents. I don't have much love left for the store contents due to their poor quality, so decided to uninstall them all and see if it makes any difference. It didn't seem to make any difference at first glance - but when I checked my /Mods/Packages folder, all the junk files which were generated when I installed the store contents were still there. When I manually deleted them all, the game got so much faster even with all the graphic options maxed out.

During my first visit to China, I cheated shamelessly and mercilessly like I always have been, and reached visa level 3 quite easily. And visited China again on the next holiday, selecting '18 days' without much thinking.

I bought a vacation home, read all the books available in China, trained with the dummy to kung-fu level 10, collected quite a junk using the new feature in Supreme Commander (it was really awesome, thanks Pescado), meditated for 150 hours, played the guitar from level 3 to 10, made 7 friends and gained some Charisma skills. Feeling like an eternity passed by, and wondering why no pop-up warning appears like the first visit, I finally checked the remaining days in the travel bar - it didn't budge at all, still 0/18. I panicked a little, rummaged through the cellphone and fortunately there was an option to manually abort the travel and go back home.

Besides AM, the only CC I'm using are Twallan's supercomputer and a little xml hack that prevents food spoiling in Pudding Factory.

Cooking: Child oven (cannot cook on real stoves without mod)
Child oven only boosts cooking skills by 3. Children can master Logic, Fishing, Painting and Writing skills.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: "All the right moves" bug on: 2009 August 06, 19:47:27
I experienced exactly the same problem with that opportunity. I saved the game right before the oppotunity appeared, so I reloaded and the same opportunity reappeared. I canceled the opportunity immediately after accepting it to keep the book without thinking, and saved the game after that... Now my level 9 athlete and level 5 politician never, ever promote. Furious, I deleted all my save games including the backup files. I would have reported the bug delightfully if I were better in English, but my brain doesn't work well when I'm mad...

Isn't there an EA house in the neighborhood with some sort of "outside" room.. its a modernish one with the pool.. and it is completely covered by walls.. bah I'll have to get on and tell ya the address.

If you are referring to the "Pondcentric - 2br, 1ba" house, that uses a foundation to surround its outdoor pool.  It then attaches this "interior pond" to the outside by leaving a hole under the house.  As previously noted in the thread, this is works properly.

Good Day. Smiley
I think Batman referred to Modernehaus. It has a small, enclosed, sand-covered area with some plant and benches.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Modern Wood - a starter home on: 2009 July 29, 13:52:29
Thank you for uploading this. I have downloaded lots of houses since TS2, and hardly ever used any of them. I like the various ideas of the uploaders (especially houses made by plasticbox - they're amazingly pretty,) but always end up building the house myself because while the downloaded houses are pleasing to the eye, they are rarely good at playing in them. Your house looks very good AND funtional. I really like it.  Cheesy

Try to put the desk with a laptop shadow on it in the family inventory. This might restore the laptop, I hope.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Traits that matter on: 2009 July 20, 02:01:58
Natural cook is a tiny bit more subtle but they will never burn food and can save you a bit of money when keeping your sims happy with food related moodlets with the "kick it up a notch" interaction they get with meals.  It makes it very easy to get "perfect" meals out of less than perfect ingredients.

I don't think that is entirely right - I had a natural cook sim and early on, before he developed too much in the way of cooking skill, he cooked and burnt a meal.  I made the error of putting the leftovers in the fridge and the couple were 'bleughing' out over it for ages after he actually cooked the meal - every time they got a plate of it.  I think the last serving of it is still in there.  He's gone on to rataouille and more exotic stuff now.

Natural cooks can also learn recipes without buying them through socialization with other sims. I also read (I think it was on here somewhere) that they can learn the recipe from eating the meal.
I didn't know they can learn through socialization, my sim with Natural Cook trait learned all the recipes by eating 'in' the bistro. You can even learn how to cook ambrosia with this method (but not the rejuvenating effect). I know that eating out takes less time, but sometimes my sim just put the dish down without eating if there is a sim nearby the table she was about put the plate. And outside the bistro, dishes tend to disappear rather quickly if no one occupies it.

Recently I made my sim with Perfectionist trait to cook every dish known perfectly just for fun (not just perfect dish, but until they hit 'Perfect' stage in the journal). I quickly regret the decision but kept going anyway... It took all day in real life, and 100+ game days without any other activity. I really should have erased Perfectionist trait. I had to constantly cheat her mood up and delete the Stir Crazy moodlet occasionally. Anyway, she was already level 10 in Cooking when started with level 0 dish Mac and Cheese, and didn't burn a single helping - until Baked Angel Food Cake & Lobster Thermidor. She was rather short on flame fruits, so I quickly addtraited Natural Cook. After that I made her cook 30+ dishes of both, and not a single dish burned. If your sim cooks level 10 meals frequently, I think Natural Cook is very good trait to keep.

Sorry for babbling, and sorry for any gramatical errors. It's very hard to write in English. Embarrassed
25  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: "Old Car Syndrome" crash FIX!!!! on: 2009 July 16, 00:24:42
I thought JMP already fixed this... because I haven't had any startup crash since I updated Awesomemod in July 12th. I've been loading and shutting up the session frequently to check out the houses and small hacks I downloaded from MTS, and not a single crash occurred. I never used 3booters, just enablescripterror.package and used to manually delete script cache file whenever the game crashed during loading.
