And I've heard that you can play games for Windows on Mac by using a virtual OS. Am I Correct?
You can but the performance hit is significant. Both of the lead commercial virtualization programs support DirectX acceleration, but the performance hit is significant. Do you mean something like VirtualPC?
VirtualPC on Macs was always emulation, not virtualization. VPC never made it over to Intel Macs as virtualization product, largely because Microsoft bought out the product from Connectix.

Does anyone know where to find the Kitchen & Bath stuff that was added to the store? I'm willing to contribute funds, but I can't download it because I have a mac. Grr....
Do you have an Intel based Mac? If yes, partition using Bootcamp and play in Windows. You'll be much, much happier with the experience.

Could anyone who has done this tell me if they're getting securom-related problems on the Mac side? Windows can't even see HFS+ partitions without 3rd party software -- securom cannot fuck up what it cannot see. Unless suckrom burns out your media drive, that is.
If you want to be truly paranoid, don't do the install when booted into Windows -- do it in a VMWare or Parallels session that's virtualizing your Bootcamp partition. That way Windows has no direct hardware access to the optical drive.

Honastly, somnambuwatsit, why haven't we had sex yet?!
Because my wife might object to that? Bleh! Tipi is not meant to produce fight! Cannibalism strictly optional. :p
No! No! It's great work, I nabbed it. No sense of humor much? GTFO my thread, douchebag. Have a nice day. "cannibal tribes" is right out of the 19th century equivalent of the Weekly World News. It's a racist anachronism. It's not something I joke about. Edit * 2: Missed a period, then inserted it in the wrong place. Damn me.

(Also, it's ever so slightly disturbing to think of people on the internet being born in the 90s, especially the latter half of them. It makes me feel old, though I'm only a 24 myself.)
Sigh. I was already downloading Mosaic betas before these youngins were born -- and I'm only 28.

In any case, I am currently annoyed with the total boredom and lack of inspired decoration that is Academie Le Tour, and am redecorating everything there.
My current obsession as well, especially after returning to University in a post-Seasons world. The Library at Academie Le Tour doesn't even have bathrooms -- it has a fucking outhouse.

ARR! Besides, by the time Aspyr gets the next expansion pack out you'll be able to get The Sims 2 Complete Collection in the bargain bin for $9.99. You don't even need to Arrr... the base game and early expansion/stuff packs are bargain-bin material already and the rest can be cheaply obtained via Craigslist or eBay. Easily (legally) obtainable for less than USD150 (aka three Aspyr-priced EPs...)

EAUGH. Why would you even...? That seems unsanitary, at best, not to mention the fact that the piercing is, apparently, hovering below the ear lobe of the victim Sim. Also, the model's mouth is crazy. Like, Assmitten crazy, only it doesn't actually look good.
It's poorly executed, but a safety pin as a piercing is not exactly novel.

No, actually, Abode sounds more like home, or a dwelling place. Perhaps you pronounce it differently than I?
No... no... I've been exposed to Adobe marketingese and L&P where it is pronounced as though it had an accent mark on the e.

<sigh> I know. I even have one of those partitions, and yet I can't bear to take my oldest and most developed 'hoods over to the other side. I think it's because I lack toolz. I'd have to leave behind all my picture-taking, editing, writing, hyperlinked family-tree-sim-bio mac toolz... </sigh>
Just what tools are you referring to?

I'd also point out that mac users don't have much of an alternative to the EAxis installer. Clean Installer isn't available in OS X, and jfade's MacUnpac doesn't handle file sizes that are too large. Given that there are next to no SPs and the last 3 EPs are MIA for macs, it pretty much means that all mac users will be unable to use lots made with later EPs/SPs.
And this... this is what we get for buying from Aspyr. The best solution for any Mac user is to partition; install WindowsXP via Bootcamp; and just treat the Windows partition as a dedicated gaming partition. (I work and make money on the Mac -- I use Windows for games.)

A strange thing I noticed when making my trailer park last night. I used the floor separators (you know to separate flooring types) and everything inside the trailer beyond the point of the separator acts like it's in the community area. I cannot buy anything and place them on my own sim floors! And yes there is only one apartment door on each unit. I can actually see my sim neighbors kitchen appliances. I didn't use the separator in one of the trailers and that is the only one that acts normal. So I think this is a bug that needs fixing. Maybe I can get a screen up later. Anyone notice this yet?
To follow-up SJActress, it's a known issue.

Has anybody else noticed how rediculessly small the neighbourhood powerplant ploppable seems to be compared to the skyscrapers? Its tiny, the plant loading bay doors are only as tall as the skyscraper main doors!
Yeah the lack of scale really irritates me; hopefully someone more skilled than I will scale it up to a more suitable dimension. (And then line it up just so with the pig balloon)
