You can tell them by their hair and uniform. You should have just three - if you have more , then you should eventually delete all those who haven't yet met anyone.
We're in luck! Three nannies, accounted for, no more, no less. Whew. It's a neat little program, though - after fooling around with it a bit, I see why people rant and rave over it Thanks for the crash course, Zephyr!

One thing I would do is check in simPE that you have only the normal 3 nannies and haven't acquired nannyspam! (Brandi Lothario (Broke) in one of my games ended up with about 20 of them, one after the other, and I just couldn't get rid of them no matter what I did!)
I've never actually used simPE. I'm afraid I probably wouldn't even know what I'm looking at. Really, I leave it to the experts to fiddle with things like that! Actually... having downloaded it and after taking a peek at it... It doesn't look too scary at all. I found my lot in it; what precisely am I looking for when you say 'nannyspam'?

So, the Elvishtoo family is a happy family, now in its sixth generation. There's five kids, the youngest two still toddlers. Mommy and Daddy are both Natural Scientists (they rolled LTWs for it - strange but true), so leave at the same time.
Mommy called a nanny two hours before the carpool, and Nanny Heidi showed up! She played with the kids and the dollhouse some, and when Mommy and Daddy got home and dismissed the Nanny Heidi, Nanny Heidi waved and her van showed up but did not pull into its regular position in the middle of the street. Instead, it stopped right where it appeared at the beginning of the street.
Nanny Heidi decided to go swimming.
I had to kill Nanny Heidi by locking her in the bathroom, then boolProp away the van. The next nanny, Nanny Jeni, came, played, and refused to go home. I sent her to Bluewater in a taxi and deleted her van.
I appear to be bugged. Without completely destroying my sixth-generation family, how do I fix the perpetual nanny issue?
Thanks, ahead of time!

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 'No Patch' Play - How do you feel about this?

My game is unpatched for the pure and simple fact that everytime I try to download the bloody thing, it fails. I don't know what is failing, precisely, but the patch won't download. So far, my game has not launched into a fiery ball I do get the stuck-on-a-community-lot bug, but really, it's workaroundable by taking a taxi Otherwise, smooth sailing.

However, I use a No-CD because my laptop weighs 3 pounds and I hate to have to plug in extra CD drives, but I buy each CD when it comes out. It's not illegal. And your CD, as JM pointed out, won't explode from overuse Actually, if you overuse your CD, it WILL explode. *L* I think I worded it wrong, but what I -meant- was that if you use a NoCD software, you won't overuse your CD, thus, it won't explode. Bleh More coffee! Bring me more coffee!

Echo says this, but it's worth reiteration if you're going to download: It's a fairly heavy file. If you download it and use it, it's probably to your best interest not to put a bunch on a lot (say...to sell in a business). Could cause stuttering and game malfunction.

Same here. If you bought the software via legal means, you are not violating copyright. Your friend, however, may be, if she decides to download a CD "crack" or no-CD software, since you bought the CD via legal means and she's only stealing a copy from you However, I use a No-CD because my laptop weighs 3 pounds and I hate to have to plug in extra CD drives, but I buy each CD when it comes out. For me, GameJackal was a snap. Here's how I set up a profile:
1. Install GJ completely. 2. Make sure the disk is in your CD reader. 3. Rightclick on the OFB icon or shortcut. 4. Choose "Convert to Game Jackal Profile*
Game Jackal will make its own profile for use.
Now, if you're using a virtual CD rom, you'll get the chance to choose which drive you want the profile to be attached to. Just follow the prompts, and you should be just fine.
Good luck!

TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Oops! Did I break -death-?

So... My Sim, Jessica, wants to resurrect her mother, Kate. The Grim Reaper, apparently, has other ideas. He says that Jessica doesn't know any dead people.
Did I break it, or is he saying this because I got rid of the marker?

I actually requested a mod at MTS2 only to have it shot down for this My kids tend to run in cycles, as I hack how long their ages last (I'm impatient!). Generally, it would be nice to have the two toddlers playing with one another - not playing with the same toy at the same time.

Hey J.M.! You always seem to show up in my whiner threads eventually I actually found a hack that allows any non-controllable to be controlled, over at the MTS2, by Dolphin. So far, so good

I finally (yes, finally) got my first "Own Five Top Level Businesses" LTW, only to find it's a major PITA not to be able to control the sims that work for you. I've run a pretty extensive search across MTS2 and MATY and come up with no solution. Managers are controllable, so there must be some way that it could work, but knowing Maxis... Is it possible to make employees controllable?
