Have the driver mark anyone with the Loser trait unworthy of a partner and then you will have real life.

Tried out the story driver for the first time last night and sent a single female out on the prowl to find a spouse.  Had a heck of a time trying to find an 18+ male that stayed single long enough to woo - the driver seemed intent on marrying them all off ASAP.  Is the driver making any effort to maintain a population of singles?  Am I doing this rong?

Control click on the sim you want and 'make sacred', this will stop the sim being included in the Awesome Story mode.

Ah, thanks.  Guess I ain't an Asinine Airhead for nothing.  I'll try that next time I find a single.

Still curious if the driver is maintaining a singles population though.  At the rate that sims were marrying off in the time I tried it, I fear that breaking up marriages and trolling 12s will soon be the only mate-finding options.  I think my 'hood has too many females, which may be making it worse.

(Contemplating befriending a teenager, inviting him over to age him up, then put the moves on him before the driver can get a hold of him...)

Related question:

I had my family move to a new house and found a ridiculous quantity of fish sitting in the family inventory.  Not sure how they got there (perhaps they got dumped there when someone died?), but I cannot seem to figure out how to get them out of the family inventory and into the fridge.  The only drag-n-drop option that seems to be available is to mount them on the wall one by one.

Any wisdom?

For what it's worth, I had a sim pull up a box with a death flower in it while fishing in the park.

Trait:  Vegetarian
CAS Description:
Features:  Can only cook vegetarian food, has some veggie versions of dishes.  Gets a negative "Feeling nauseous" moodlet from eating meatfudz prepared by others.
Associated Interactions: Can enthuse about vegetarianism with other sims.  Other sims can also applaud a Vegetarian's vegetarianism.
Other Notes:  Never noticed an option to cook fish.  "Links" and "patties" are magical ingredients which can be meat or not-meat based on who cooks them.  Game not clear which meals made by others are safe to eat.  Pizza and restaurant food ordered by a Vegetarian are safe.  (More experimentation is clearly needed.)

Trait: Neurotic
CAS Description:
Associated Interactions:  Can talk about conspiracy theories (Insane sims find this quite fascinating).  Self-interaction "Freak Out" which provides "Tranquil" moodlet.  Can "Check faucet" or "Check stove" which produces a "Calm" moodlet.
Other Notes:  Sometimes spins wishes to wash hands or brush teeth 2-3 times in a row.  Occasionally gets a negative "Feeling anxious about the stove/faucet" moodlet that can be cured by checking the appropriate appliance.

FWIW, I updated my director's cut the other day and ran into the exact same issue (nothing on the menu but Set Ringer).  The 11/04/08 version seems to have fixed it.

I don't know why he doesn't just change the rules to outlaw snapdragons.

I'd ban businesses, too.  Townies are so easy to swindle, you may as well consider running a business to be no more ethical than using a money cheat.

move_objects on is your friend.

I made a garden centre lot that had a fenced employee area, and I just used move_objects to stick the sign on the fence. Or rather, in the air above the fence. You get the idea.

It did not occur to me that I could use moveobjects in such a devious way.  Thanks for the tip.

Now I wonder if loading up all relevant lots with snapdragons would defeat the purpose of the challenge...

I decided to give this challenge a try yesterday.  Unfortunately, my founder rolled the "own 5 top-level buisnesses"  LTW.

Is there an email-legal way to open a business?  The open/closed sign appears to require a wall segment.
