Ah that's why I didnt get the option - I didn't even know there was such thing as advanced mode!

Double clicking the neighbourhood file directly from the Neighbourhood folder did the same thing - no data.   

I'll see if Fix Neighbourhood UID's made any difference.

ETA - nope Fix Neighbourhood UID's didn't help either. 

 

I just checked again making sure I followed the screenshot -  I only get Neighbourhood Browser, Sim Browser and Sim Surgery under that menu.

I'll try to explain myself better - you know how under Neighbourhood Browser there is a list of hoods? Well the 2 that don't show up in the game  appear as "unknown" instead of their real names, and when I click on them to open them, there is no resources, no data, no sims, nothing.

witch - thanks for the tip about the backup prgram, defintely will be making sure I do that more often for now on! 

ETA: The same thing happened when I opened the neighbourhood.package in Sim PE without the Neighbourhood Browser - nothing there.

I have never used TS2 Enhancer, I always use SimPE to edit my hoods.

Deleting groups.cache and NeighborhoodManager.package didn't help.

This is probably because I am stupid and/or blind, but I do not see an option to Fix Neighborhood Uid's in SimPE Neighbourhood Menu.

Not even Sim PE seems to recognise the two hoods - they show up as 'Unknown' and when I open them no resources show up.

The other hoods that I have are fine.

I just think its weird that it would not show up even though all the files are there in the Neighbourhood folder.

Two of my neighboorhoods which I have been playing with for ages have stopped showing up in the game, even though they still exist in the Neighboorhoods folder.
Any ideas how to fix this? 

Well, I updated my ATI Drivers.
Still does the sound looping thing but at least it doesnt freeze the whole computer anymore.
When I have more money I'll get more RAM.

Yeah I've been thinking for a long time I need more RAM it probably doesnt help the situation.
Everything else runs fine for the most part though and it's really only been few days or so that I have been having problems, I used to be able to take photos fine before.

I dont have nvidia drivers, I have ATI Radeon, but I guess the same idea applies. I'll see if changing drivers helps.









   

Hey peoples,
I know I dont post here much but I was hoping someone around here might know how to fix this

Lately whenever I try to take a picture in the game the game completely freezes. The "click click" sound keeps repeating in a loop and I cant do anything. Sometimes I even have to reboot the computer.

I know the simple answer is: "Dont take pictures then!", but.... I like taking pictures of my stupid sims!

Tried searching around here but didnt find anything useful. Any ideas? 

Oh yeah I have windows XP with 512 MB RAM and 3 gig processor if that helps.

Sometimes when you have played the game lots you struggle to think of names for things.

What I do is take something that interests me and take names and references from that. 
For example I currently have a neighboorhood whose streets are named after some of my fav classic rock albums. 
Maybe you can do something simular with an interest.

It was happening even when I clicked "have...." and "serve....." pie menus

The sim was clearly hungry and was still happening without any hacks. (sorry if my inital post wasnt clear)

The weird thing is, I went back and played it a bit since my post to try and figure out what was wrong and it has seemed to fixed itself!  Oh well as long as it doesnt come back again I dont mind

I have a problem that seems to be related to the baking glitch - my sims now cannot make any food at all, whether it is have/serve meal or make/make many, whether it is spaghetti or pie. They will go through the process of making fine but when it's supposed to be finshed it just disappears into thin air. They have to rely on snacks or me cheating so they dont starve to death. It has happened  on every lot I have played since installing OFB, even without hacks in.
