I have a small request. Could anyone with experience in making tattoos, please turn this back tattoo & this full set body tattoo (which currently connect to accessories e.g. socks, earrings, etc) into layerable 'Ambitions' style tattoos instead? I have previously asked the original author if she could convert them herself, back in July 2010, but nothing happened for months. I contacted her again recently to ask for her permission to allow others (or myself) to convert them in her stead, for which she agreed. I have tried to convert them myself using various tutorials, but I'm strugging too much with my learning difficulties to make any fruitful progress. Baa to anyone who can help.

I am having a problem installing barnacle bay. I've read quite a bit on the forums and also used the search feature quite extensively before I even dared to ask about my problem on these forums. I downloaded the barnacle bay file from the site, I decrapified the file, installed it and placed it in the downloads folder which I read above should work. It shows it being installed in the download manager but it is not in the game. My game also has the latest updates so there is no problem there. I followed the directions on how I am supposed to decrapify, and that seemed to go fine. I am not sure if I am still doing something wrong or it's just being how the sims typically gets and there is no discernible reason for it to not be working. Try this: 1) Go to: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\InstalledWorlds 2) Cut the file: Barnacle Bay.world 3) Paste in: Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds Run the game to see if Barnacle Bay shows up.

This is not a Sims 3 request, but I don't feel the need to start a new thread for it.
I'm trying to get the mp3 sound byte from the Sims 1 "Romantic Kiss" interaction. It's a snippet of Tchaikovsky's Romeo & Juliet Overture. I'm currently trying to torrent ALL the Sims 1 music, but as you can imagine, not many people are interested, so it's sat at 99% for quite some time. And I'm not even sure if this mp3 will be included.
So, if you still have Sims 1 installed or know where I can find just this snippet, please, let me know. Google has failed me.
I'm using it as a sound effect in a production I'm working on, so the higher the quality, the better.
Would this piece work? (Just in case: right click on the link and choose "Save Link As" to desktop) http://www.kickassclassical.com/tchaikovsky_romeoandjuliet.mp3

Robokitty will get to that eventually. Her blog says so. But also realize that the ambitions style tattoos are REALLY limited at the moment because of how they're sized. Do not expect miracles in the near future.
Thanks Moryrie, I missed her notice on the frontpage as the links I'd saved were directly to the tattoos themselves. I'll be patient and wait for her to release them when they're done.

Thank you so much mibsywibsy.
What you said made me think the problem might be to do with the Resource.cfg file, so I rooted around and I found it was the problem after all.
From what I understand... Pescado's Resource.cfg doesn't seem to have the option (yet maybe?) to allow sub-foldering, whereas Delphy's Resource.cfg allows up to 4 levels of sub-foldering.
I'd previously installed Delphy's TS3 Installer before Pescado's AwesomeMod. I should have done it the other way around. Pes's AwesomeMod then Delphy's TS3 Installer.
*slaps forhead in shame*

I've just learnt that I can no longer keep my CC in subfolders if I want to use Pescado's AwesomeMod. Bawww.
I got someone to double check what I was doing with installing everything and he came to the conclusion that somewhere in the AwesomeMod, it changed how other hacks/mods are recognised by the game. I tried 2 mods in particular, 'nomosaic' and 'nointro' by rick on MTS (they were the fastest to test) and they both stopped working as soon as they were put in subfolders.
Has anyone else come across this problem?

Eh? I distinctly remember doing the glasses, maybe they didn't get uploaded. I was angry with the wigglers for being L&P when they were released so they haven't been very high on my to-do list If I find them I'll upload the glasses, but it'd be in my stash of files from a couple hard drive formats / years ago so I don't make any promises. You don't have to go to that much trouble but thanky very much Argon!

Anette, with my old computer it had an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2GB RAM, an Nvidea graphics card (forgot what number, I think around 5-600) and it was 'buggy' to play. Animations like growing up were very laggy for me.
With the new Quad core processor, extra RAM* and improved graphics card, my game loads x3 times faster including bodyshop which was a complete nightmare to run. I used to try and play the game at max detail, but my old computer just couldn't handle it. Now, I have all the game detail at max and it has yet to crash on me. It has far smoother rendering of sims and housing when rotating the camera. I used to try and play the game at max detail, but my old computer just couldn't handle it. (Not sure if this is relevant but I have all stuff packs and expansions installed)
My partner informed me that what I have now, compared to my old computer, is more than powerful enough for Sims 2. I feel it was worth the upgrade even if I hadn't planned to use it for The Sims 3.
Hope this helped.
*(I know Vista only uses upto 3GB RAM)

I find Medion computers very reliable and I've yet to run into any problems with mine. I recently upgraded my pc over christmas and I thought it was a pretty good deal for the price. For £488 (Err, around $700?) I got:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad Processor Q8200 (2.33GHz, 1333FSB, 4MB) Pre-Loaded Genuine Windows Vista(R) Home Premium (32 installed but also came with 64 on disk) 4GB DDR2-RAM (Dual Channel Mode) 1TB hard disk (Serial ATA 2, 16 MB cache) Nvidia GeForce 9600GT (512mb GDDR3 RAM with HDMI and DVI output) 2x Multi-Standard DVD/CD Writers (DVD-RAM and Dual-Layer support) 3 Year warranty
The reason I upgraded it was mainly for sims 3.
