...I went crazy and uninstall everything I delete the EA Games folder from Program Files directory. I don't have any mods now. Sad

Haha! Why did you do that? Firstly, that is not how to uninstall the game. Secondly, you might be able to rescue it from the recycle bin.

Right Click the Recycle Bin>Open>Find the EA Games [Electronic Arts] folder>Right Click>Restore

Restore any other folders you deleted whilst going crazy.

...well..I just discover that I don't know how to remove a mod. Can you explain? I'll listen.

Do the reverse of whatever you did to place them in the game.

CTRL+shift testingcheatsenabled true>Go into town view>Click on your sims house>Right click and teleport here.

Yeah, that's a better method than resetsim which is what I used eventually.

Has anyone else had issues with elevators? I threw a bachelorette party at one of the lounges and the elevator ended up freezing on the ground floor, so bouncers, mixologists, and party guests couldn't get up/downstairs.

My Sim was in a club that closed at 4am, he didn't get in the lift quickly enough (the club was busy) before the club closed and the elevators were switched off. My Sim and a few others were stuck in the club with no way to get out, this is such slack programming it is amateur.

I never had any camera mods, and the first thing I always do with a EP is uninstall all mods and start a clean game to check things out and start testing what mods still work. If it is a bug it happens in clean mod-free games.

The exact same thing happened to my game, it isn't caused by a camera mod, but some other mod. I am willing to wager my left bollock that when it happened you had some mods in your game. Remove every single mod and it won't happen.

The max you can zoom out appears to be like 10 feet now, and it takes 5 minutes of scrolling the mouse wheel to get there.

That is what happens when you run your game with outdated mods, it's called a bug.

Nevermind, I just read that fps limiter needs updating.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Purely technical question about lag. on: 2010 October 12, 00:00:02
Possibly your graphics card is struggling a bit, particularly if it is the 768MB version.

Have you tried reducing graphics settings? Start with view distance and number of high quality lots and see if it makes a difference, reducing smoothing and texture detail might help too.

10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Purely technical question about lag. on: 2010 October 11, 01:08:01
Question is: is it my computer or just the game when I get lag.

Merge your package files to reduce lag:

ETA:  It turns out that after I cut my Downloads folder from 160 MB to 35 MB, the game ran fairly well and stopped crashing constantly, so know I wish to ARR a stuff pack.

Wow, 160MB! My Sims 2 Download folder is 9.5GB and it runs perfectly, it is more likely to be a dodgy file.

The MDS file is superfluous.

Read the post again Zazazu, particularly this bit.

May I humbly suggest that the numbers be updated on the AM download page?

13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: N00b here asking for some help. on: 2010 September 09, 23:57:59
Usually it helps, if you post a question and then later find a solution, to post what the solution was to the problem that you posted, rather than just state that it is fixed.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.15/2.10/3.6/4.3 on: 2010 September 09, 03:59:29
Has anyone else experienced this?

Yep, I had the same problem. I uninstalled Ambitions, reinstalled HELS then patched it, reinstalled Amibitons and patched that, then installed Fast Lane.

Is there a torrent for the Vitality release?

Basically, I'd like to make a clone of the nectar bottle and add custom moodlets to it. If a sim drinks too much of this custom nectar, too often, they will develop an addiction to it, denoted by a custom moodlet similar to "Buzz crash" for drinking caffeinated beverages, only more intense and semi-permanent. Maybe something like -50 mood for one sim week or until the sim drinks more. The new nectar would be buyable at the grocery store and if I were awesome enough to do it myself, I'd add varying levels of quality. For example, the cheapest stuff could be "beer" with only a small positve moodlet and a greater window for addiction. The best stuff could be top-shelf liquor with a bigger boost to mood. The idea is that sims can drink occasionally without becoming addicted, but drinking every day would trigger addiction.

Sounds like a great idea, perhaps it could also be modified into a similar 'drugs mod' where beer, nectar and liquor could be replaced by weed, cocaine and heroin.

Wow, mackico, that sounds remarkably similar to smellyarmando's proposed alchohol mod two posts before yours.

Yeah okay, occasionally 'u'. Damn pedants!
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Spontaneous combustion after meteor strikes on: 2010 August 25, 01:43:33
That's not entirely right either.

It is entirely right, always 'an' before a vowel, not 'a'. There are other rules for when 'an' is correctly used before a consonant, I just didn't expand on them as you did.
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Spontaneous combustion after meteor strikes on: 2010 August 24, 03:56:24
...form a artillery barrage and my game didn't crash.

Always use an before a vowel, not a. Vowels are the letters a e i o u.

Mea Culpa - I was wrong, but at least I had the balls to try a little empirical testing.

I almost deleted them, but my balls shrivelled at the thought.

I've been looking for storage/treasure chests, like the ones from world adventures but more of a general look. Does anyone happen to know where I can find them?

Another good storage box here:

24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! on: 2010 July 28, 18:31:39
Suck it and see - so far I've been deleting anything with instance 0 and it's not killed my game.

Suck it and see is not generally a reliable method, it may not have killed your game, but it might kill mine.

The other 0x0000000000000000 files are most likely your _key files, which are manifests and part of the whole package merging process. Do no delete those. Go back and read the OP again. You will see a few suggestions on what you can delete.

Ok, thanks for the confirmation.

EDIT: By the way, the process made a massive difference to my game, frame rates were jumping between 200fps to 1fps in-game causing unbearable lag, I tried loads of different graphics drivers and almost gave up on the game, the solution you posted solved all lag problems for me completely, I am so chuffed. Thank-you.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! (Manually creating .dbc archives) on: 2010 July 27, 23:32:29
I have two little questions: when I was running s3pe - while saving the packages, the program screen showed me some files with the types '0x7672f0c5', '0x73e93eeb' and '0x044ae110", all with the instance '0x0000...", should I let them quiet or should I delete them?   And what about the "manually XML merge" thing? Should I import like package first, and then re-import like .dbc?   Huh

I am looking for the answer to this too, should all occurrences of instance "0x0000000000000000" be deleted or just the '"0x73E93EEB" occurrences as mentioned in the OP?
