I've played that one a couple times. Not too bad for just one or two Sims, except for the tiny basement - and the stupid Sims kept going around the outside of the house to get between rooms, instead of going through the hall-type bit.

It will once it's been made over, I'll wager.

It certainly is unique. I love the idea of the walkways over the water - and the glass room is lovely.

I had a knowledge sim with the 7 skills LTW in an asylum. It was going really well - a couple sim-weeks in, and everything was fine. She left for work cause they needed money... and a fire started. At the end, there was only one other sim left. That made it really boring, having just the two of them in the house.

So I was mean and sent a whole new batch of patients in to live with them.

In the challenge I'm playing at the moment, everyone keeps slapping each other around with fish. It's... strangely appropriate. And one idiot committed suicide by exercising until she starved to death. At least that's what I assume happened - she fell of the exercise bike and Grim appeared.

I found that just having them wash their hands several times filled up the hygiene bar. Took a while, but then they didn't have much else to do in the early stages of the game.

Just want to say that this is working perfectly for me. I now have a rather twisted household from when I decided to test it - a teenage boy married his mother, another married woman and his teenaged sweetheart. They all live in the same house, and the two adult women have each spawned. Makes it much easier to teach the toddlers all the skills, as there's always at least two people at home with them.

I think this one might be easier because there's not much wrong with the outside of the house - it's mostly the horribly set out interior that needs to be fixed.

And... everything's so pretty! I really love the pool-turned-fountain look.

Well, here's my entry. Not Awesomespec, but adheres to one of it's main principles - keep those bloody visitors where you can see them.

View of the outside.

Closer view of the entrance. Path from driveway/drop-off to front door is quite short.

Ground floor. Upon stepping through the front door, we have the entrance/lounge with One True Desk, as well as a small bathroom. Locakable stairs lead up to the second floor. In the other building, which is separated by the pond, is the pool, kitchen and dining, as well as another staircase. Outside is greenhouse, barbecue and swings. Visitors can walk around to back yard, but both the pool-door and the door to the kitchen are lockable, so you can control where they have access.

Upstairs from the entrance is the skill-building room and a hallway that connects the two buildings. Also nursery (whole thing fits in that huge bathroom), main bedroom, two smaller bedrooms, two bathrooms, and balcony for throwing eggs at unwanted visitors.

ETA: I knew I was gonna forget this. I have all EPs and the FFS SP.

Kchan, thanks for going ahead and posting this month's challenge. I got kidnapped for a surprise vacation on Friday.

No problem - Vacations shall not stand in the way of MATY! Or something like that.

I'd already remade it without the pond... but general consensus in the other thread wanted to keep both to add to the difficulty. So, back to the drawing board for me.

So we can all get on with it:

Copy-pasta'd from last month:
1. No CC.  Please indicate needed expansions and stuff packs so people who wish to download your lot know what to expect.  Pictures are required, either available for download, on a slideshow, or posted in this thread.

2. By entering this challenge, you agree to take constructive criticism.  If you wish to judge someone else's entry, you should be respectful but honest.

3. Your lot does not have to be Awesomespec, although it is encouraged.

4. You may move internal walls and add external walls but you may NOT move original external walls.

5. Lots may be furnished, unfurnished, or partially furnished.  You can even upload both furnished and unfurnished versions.

*PLEASE NOTE* Since this is an Eaxis-designed lot, it may or may not have level edges.  Place at your own risk.

New for this lot:
6. The pond/pool must be left in. They may be expanded, but not removed.

Hey, I think Kchan's starting to get the point of this exercise. Please, tell me you're not related to Tchan?

Yeah, I'll admit, my first entry doesn't compare to some of the others. I would've entered a lady with 'white paint' on her face, but it was entered in either last month or May. And caused a break-down or two.

And no, never met Tchan before.

One thing becomes apparent here: most everyone ran to TSR and looked in the costume makeup area immediately after seeing the contest theme.

I went over to MTS2 and looked in the non-featured section. There's some well-made stuff there that just makes you go WTF?

I saw this and went "AAARGH!" As if going to the dentist wasn't bad enough, now we have dentists with butterflies and horrible pinkness.

She immediately phails for not knowing the difference between a mod and a recolour.
