TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked

My Investigator has been a pain to play: if I want him to actually do something with the case he has received I have to watch him. If I take my camera away he will abandon what he was supposed to do for any other task. Conversely my Ghost Hunter, Stylist and Architect will get on with the task at hand.
Hmm... I bet good money on that he has the absent-minded trait. Those sims you have to keep your eyes on or they forget where they are and what they're doing. That's a feature, not a bug. Nope, it's a bug, my investigator does it as well. In fact, this babysitting thing has been around since WA adventures. The "talk to someone to do this opportunity" interaction loves to queue drop.

Ghost Containers seem to stop glowing every so often. Fixed by simply grasping them with the hand of god, but still annoying.
Edit: Auto-replacing of damaged objects in town affects your home. Fire damaged objects will eventually replace themselves automatically at no cost! Not cool!
I didn't notice them replacing themselves over time, however, if you call up the repairman for something else, all burned/salvaged objects will suddenly be like new. In my case, this was a good thing, as a meteor strike borked both my mailbox and garden, making them impossible to interact with. It may or may not have given me extra funds as well, or those could be from an opportunity I'd cashed in along the same time, wasn't paying all that much attention to household funds at the time. ("How am I gonna pay my damn bills now?" was more on my mind.) I hate bb code.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released

Okay, this is starting to get annoying. After updating to 1.8/2.3, I'm getting consistent CTD after the game finishes the loading process. I've tried removing my cc, clearing cache files, etc. Nothing seems to work, and I haven't been able to find anything in this thread to fix it. Looks like it's the old uninstall/reinstall/repatch dance again. Edit: After reinstalling, it was still crashing. Went over my gamefiles with a fine toothed comb, and found pre-1.8/2.3 Awsomemod lurking in my Sims 3 install mods, instead of in WA, where I'd thought I'd moved everything. Oh well, nice and clean now, only took at the most an hour total time away from me.

The whole point of the changes in The Sims 3 is that you have a new level of interaction and control to make your game experience - the life experiences of your sim - as unique as a snowflake. If it was sarcasm, it was stealth sarcasm. With the right tone that could be downright condescending, but I think that's hoping for too much.

Public Service Announcement, stay away from TPB right now. Someone I trust to know this shit just told me the site's being majorly tracked now. Halfway done, too. Bah. Damn Demonoid being down, I've been avoiding TPB ever since the whole lawsuit thing, and WA tempted me back.

Empty lots have never been an option to move-in in my game unless it has been edited and saved once
Maybe that's it? I can't move in fresh, but after playing with one family and leaving, suddenly I can move into empty lots. I just don't get it, sometimes.

I had something similar but I'm not sure if it is the same in your case. Selecting families directly from the bin to move into an empty lot, my game does not allow but going into edit mode without any active family and selecting the lowest button in the UI named "Move in Family" does allow to purchase empty lots.
Did what I describe the same in your experience?
Considering that's how I got it to work the other day, pretty much. It must be just one of those random stupid things. Maybe having to do with it being a downloadable neighborhood, it might get a little 'touchy' on install?

It's the active family, and it does give me the option to buy furnished/unfurnished unlike if I was using edit town. They just can't buy an empty lot. A lot with one wall? It works (I think, I'll have to check again tonight), so I may just have to use that as a workaround. Stupid game.

For some reason, in Riverview it's impossible for me to have sims buy an empty residential lot. But it still works in the default neighborhood. It's not an issue of tight pants, as the only mod I'm using is Awesomemod. I did, however, reinstall because Riverview ended up getting corrupted the first time. Tried deleting cache files, no luck. Is my neighborhood just borked?

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Does the Vegetarian Trait affect anything besides food choices?

It bugs me that kids get the "sickened by meat" moodlet from eating the muffins cooked in the toy stove. What kids make meat muffins?
I have no idea why, but the phrase "meat muffins" is making me giggle like a 12. I think Vegetarianism is just one of those 'flavor traits' that really don't do anything useful, honestly. But when your sims subsist on little more than waffles or pancakes, it's not that big a deal.

From my personal experience, it'll run, even up to Seasons. Played on a different setup by BV. But you'll be on all the lowest settings, and have everything special disabled. After upgrading to my new computer last month, I saw an event scene for the first time. I'd forgotten they were even supposed to exist.
Oh, and it'll lag like a laggy lagging thing. Ewe definitely needs moar ramz.

Is this a random townie spawn? Or is this the spawn of some CASs?
She's the spawn of some townies. And I'm kinda sad, because from the nose up she's nice, I especially like her eyes. But her jaw line looks pasted on yey! and just isn't something I want to add to the family features.

My Snob sim gets two good moodlets from the mirror. I make her Gussy Up and Admire Self in the morning and she goes to work with "I'm Beautiful" and "Attractive" moodlets. I like her, she's conceited. She does it on her own too.
Oh god, I've got a Snob, and I have to literally drag him away from the mirrors or he'll spend all day admiring himself. While it's a nice little buff, he doesn't have to do it like three times in a row!

The other day during a trip to the graveyard, my sim found an old friend....
<img snip>
Wanderer Emo... that's just lovely. Heh, I was feeling sarcastic after the dice threw him up more or less like that. He had emo hair and cloths, and I wanted to make him a guitar playing bum/collector experiment.

I'm still going through the topic, but I haven't seen this mentioned yet. After sticking a "Hates Nature" sim in a basement, it seems that basements have an inherent 'outsideness', because he got the negative moodlet they pick up while outside.
I'm guessing that if I enclosed the area in walls, it wouldn't be 'outside' anymore, but that's just an asinine waste of space. I guess his hippie sister gets the basement.
