1  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sooo, Does Anyone Play This Game? on: 2018 April 25, 05:11:00
I Play Sims 4, I do like it and building is a lot better in 4 than other versions.  I have taken to rebuilding all worlds/cities then playing with the help of mods and tons of CC.  I still occasionally play 2 and 3 when they are not lagging on me.  Thus far no lag in 4 not even with my 10 gigs of CC.

2  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sims4 is not gonna happen on here, is it? on: 2015 July 03, 13:44:45
I know others have had issues.  I know it most likely will not have mods here for Sims 4 so I simply put a few places where there are for those that might need it who read this post.  If you guys don't want it here simply remove the post.  I was simply trying to be helpful.
3  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sims4 is not gonna happen on here, is it? on: 2015 July 03, 09:36:59
You need Origin to verify when its first downloaded (whether via Origin or Disc) otherwise you can set origin to offline.  Origin is nothing more than a client like Steam.  You do not have to be set online to play.  I personally never have had any issues with Origins client.

I have found Most mods for TS4 are at Mod the Sims.  There are two people at SimAsylum (Madame Butterfly & JustAnotherSimFan (JASF)) who also have some good mods for TS4 as well.
4  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: L&P: TS4 CAS Demo | Full TS4 Game Leaked on: 2014 September 07, 07:40:35
I have had Origin client for years as well and need Origin Client to on to play several games.  I have never had any issues with the client and do not need to have it online to play any of the games.  My Sims 3 and Dragon Age I & II show up as games but they do not run via Origin Client. (Sims 3 runs fine) I installed my Sims 4 no issues, not one game got deleted or corrupted.

lol spockblock..

Morriganrant thank you so much your advise worked like a charm.  Finally some help since the numb nuts over at EA have not been able to help in 7 months.  Until the latest patch I could not even get my store items to dl let alone install.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 December 13, 04:41:53
No Morriganrant I had not tried that, thank you for the link.  I will try and see if that helps.

Keirra, I have tired using as is and after decrapifying I get the message either way.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 December 12, 20:42:48
My game is fully patched and I have all the expansions and still I'am unable to get my store stuff to install, it still gives me the message as above about needing to be updated to the current patch. Is this happening to anyone else? or does anyone have a solution? (I have no clue on how to make these pkg files either).
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: World Adventures Mods folder setup, and What works and what does not on: 2009 December 04, 21:37:44
I have not found any CC that doesn't work with WA as of yet and have been using some cc others seem to be having issues with.

However, I did find that my game ran faster and CAS wasn't slow in loading the items when I deleted the folders in the pkg file of mods and put everything just under Package.  The Mods folder for me is in WA.

As to No Mosaic use the updated for WA version or you will lose some of the special effects WA offers while on vacation or when using things like Meditate.

9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Delphy's New Breast Slider Hack on: 2009 October 09, 17:26:55
I like the slider, but some of the long hair cc I have doesn't work well with this.  IE: Long hair that goes over the boob area. With larger boobs this type of hair sits above the boobs instead on on them.  Just thought I would warn you guys about this.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Medics predicting gender of larvae? on: 2009 August 07, 02:47:48
I have a sim that is 3 slots from Max.  The sim in question got a work opportunity that had her make a house call to predict the sex of a pregnant sim.  I went to the house of the sim rang the bell and all they did was talk, no option came up to examine her for the sex of the child.  I even tried it by clicking on the person in town mode still all they did was talk.  I have yet to complete this opportunity for any sim that gets it as a work opportunity. Option to determine the sex never shows up.
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Game Hangs on Move Out with Awesome/Indie Stone on: 2009 August 01, 18:52:43
The only time it hangs for me is if I use the Kick Out option.  It hangs and I end up having to end the program.  If I use the option to move them into another home its fine.  This only happens when I am using the Inge mod.  I do not get this when I am using the just the Awesome mod.
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: IMPORTANT DESIGN POLL on: 2009 June 23, 13:05:54
I do not use a mouse but a track ball which I have used for years, my track ball does not have scroll wheel.  However I also have a track ball with a scroll wheel because when I play the Sims 2 I found I need a scroll ability on the mouse for the gunmans camera hack and I also needed the scroll for NWN 1 & 2 when I build (neverwinter nights).  I currently have both pluged in so I can use the scroll wheel on the other trackball without having to give up the track ball I like using.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What hacks/fixes are absolutely necessary on: 2008 December 09, 05:14:19
I have all the Patches and have 31 folders holding 680 files of Hack/mods I will tell you my game runs like clock work.  The only time in recently history I have had any issue was when like a dumb ass I installed 3 default skin sets which caused the game to crash to desktop when I tried to use CAS or change thier looks via plastic surgery or Mirror. (mind you I forgot I had some in there)

I know I would not have as much fun without all my hacks/mods.  You need to quit worrying so much about them messing up the game and look what they can actually do for you game.  There are a lot of talented moders out there!
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Gameplay: How do YOU keep track of sim lifes? on: 2008 August 28, 16:03:18
Since I have my lap top next to my big computer I use it to keep track via excel using varied spreed sheets that track everything about the individual sim and or its family.
15  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 August 28, 14:49:12
I do not know if this actually works since I do not get the game until tommorrow but a freind of mine said this is what she does to change the apt and the common area stuff when sims are living there:

boolProp AptBaseLotSpecificToolsDisabled true/false

boolProp SublotSpecificToolsDisabled true/false

16  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: More Decorative Slots for Maxis Furniture (Updated 2008/08/09) on: 2008 August 11, 11:55:26
I am now using this instead of Anoeska B's my question is does her TV and stereo fix for items being put on it clash with this since I do not see where you have done it for the TV or stereo?
17  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Game won't start. on: 2008 August 04, 07:37:44
Your welcome glad I could help...I wish I knew as well how those files get messed up.
18  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Need Help Missing In Game TV on: 2008 August 04, 07:34:22
I cleaned out my DL folder to 5 gigs and apparently found whatever was causing the issue because the TV shows now.

As for the vote:  Bullheadness yep thats it Tongue
19  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Game won't start. on: 2008 August 03, 17:09:10
Not starting up happened a lot to me until someone told me to delete the cache files have you tried that?  You find them in mydoc/ea/sims2  they are at the bottom of the list: accessory and groups cache files.
20  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Need Help Missing In Game TV on: 2008 August 03, 15:42:32
Yes I did post on about having 6 1/2 gigs of CC, I am in the process of cleaning that out.   Hopefully I ll find the issue there.

Thank you for the suggestion to use Binary search method, I have never done this so it will be something new to learn and use to help me.
21  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Need Help Missing In Game TV on: 2008 August 03, 15:21:34
Pet is not an unfamiliar word and I do not use it in context with Favorite when it comes to the sims2 where there are Pet hacks out there for the EP Pets.  Otherwise I might have used it in that context.

As for the Mods/Hacks and updated for EPS, I know not every Hack/Mod needs to be updated and I have not heard nor seen anyone else having this issue using the ones I currently use.  Do I check to see if the ones I use have an Update yes I do, and I check out the boards to see if others are having issues with the ones I have just in case.

If no one else has any idea of what could be causing it, I'll consider it my bad luck and deal. The TV in question is not one I use often, but would have liked to use it last night.  If that is the only issue I am having I will consider my self lucky since others have much larger ones.
22  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Need Help Missing In Game TV on: 2008 August 03, 15:03:16
LOL I wish it were that easy floopyboo!  and I don't use pet hacks...... Mods I have checked to see if they work with what I have and read about them and all the posts from others before using them.  This TV is the only thing not showing up everything else shows up and works just fine.

I have even gotten rid of CC TV's to make sure it was not one of them causing the issue.
23  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Need Help Missing In Game TV on: 2008 August 03, 14:47:23
I have every EP and stuff pack but the Ikea stuff pack.  Sorry I knew there was something I was forgetting to post with that!
24  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Need Help Missing In Game TV-Fixed on: 2008 August 03, 14:18:44
Has anyone else having an issue with the Soma 44" Pancaketek TV from the original game not showing up?  I just noticed the other day that I get all in game TVs but that one.  I can use it if its already in a house but its not showing up in my buy mode menu.  I have run Simwardrobe hack conflict and it only stated there is a possible conflict with Insim and simblender on a pregnancy issue where you suspend the pregnancy.  Since I have never done this I do not know if it is an actual conflict or not.  I ended up deleting the RHS Mirror over at MTS that allowed you to max all motives because anyone that used it froze permently until you got rid of it and broke the original mirror so you couldn't use it or place more than one in your home.

My fixes and hacks are:

Two Jeffs: ACR, Simblender,Colledge Adjuster, and a others recommended by two jeffs but nothing to do with TVs or Electronics. (can list them if you really need it, its a long list)
JM Pedesco: Romancemod
Lord Darcy: Almost all his fixes (can list if need be long list)
Insim
AnoeskaB: fixes for items on top of things (Note I do not have Lord Darcys that conflicts with hers)
Pregnancy wear any outfit-Squigly's not Inteen (Yep I figure I spelled his/her name wrong)
MTS: ailias causal to work, Marhis Marriage last name diag,Numenor slot enable pkg,Atavera-CustomInstrumentHack,homework hack that makes it take 15 min not an hr to do even works with uni. (dont remember the name and with 6 1/2 gigs of custom objects and 30 folders I cant remember where I put it)
Simwardrobe everything he makes that is not stated to conflict with any other hack listed above.
ffsdebugger
Monique's Hacked computer updated by chaavik.

I have noticed that after putting in Simwardrobe's no social worker for hot/cold that she doesn't show up at all not matter what the issue is that would spawn her.  I can even leave babies and children home alone.  I found this out by accident one day when I sent all my people to work and left a child home by her self. (just an fyi for others)

I am suprised that I did not get more things that either conflicted or might conflict since alot of TwoJeffs, Insim and simwardrobe do the same functions.  If anyone can help or perhaps has an idea let me know.  I do not use that TV a lot but when I went to use it bam not there go figure.
25  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Overheating problems? on: 2008 August 02, 15:29:11
I had a similar issue that not only caused those types of issues but caused pixels to show up on my screens.  It got so bad that I couldn't even play my computer games that had major graphics.  I have an SLI system with two graphics cards and found out one was bad.  Most likely from what you describe its the graphic card.  However, if your system starts to shut off on its own in addition to your issues it could be either your CPU or Power supply have gone bad which causes some of the same issues you state.

When power supplies go bad it causes all sorts of weird stuff, we know since we have had 3 of them after years of use go bad.  If you have another computer in the house the graphics card will work on test it there to see if the computer is having the same issues if it is not then that is not the issue and it could be some of the others I stated.  If you have a spare graphics card you could simply replace the current one and see if its still happening as well.  With 6 computers in my house its easy for us to narrow things down in those cases.   If you have other strange issues let me know Ill have my husband look at this and see if he knows a fix or work around.

Smoking at your computer is bad, because all the crud you blow out from your cigarettes is sucked into the computer and plasters itself over the boards, eventually shorting something out.

My husband smokes but not next to the PC or in the house so he doesn't get more issues than he needs.
