1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Owned community coffee bar, sims don't pay! on: 2006 June 13, 05:50:00
Wow, so customers do actually buy espresso. I have an employee or my Sim assigned to the espresso bar but Sims just stand around and talk without even looking at it. Works fine on unowned lots, sims flock to it. And when I have an employee assigned my Sim is the only one who won't leave it alone. The regular bar works fine.

Well the 84.21, 81.98 didn't work ether.  I get the blue screen of death. Still trying older drivers though.

I haven't been able to play for a few day now because of the blue screen problem. Here is another post about this at MTS2.

I had 78.01 installed for NL and it worked great. But after OFB I had graphical artifacts like the picks on the MTS2 thread. I have tried the newest drivers and now I get the blue screen of death with the hour glass. I am still trying to test older drivers. People have tried everything to reinstalling to reformatting. If anyone has any other ideas that would be great.

Witch, this is the same issue that I was having with my graphics. It seemed to be affecting just the lots with home businesses. All the Sims were sliding or floating around with their arms out just like the pic above. The lots were not playable. After reading this post yesterday, I updated my drivers to the newer 81.98. I had 78.01 installed. Oh, and my graphics card is a Geforce FX 5700LE. It worked so far. I played one of the affected lots and all is working well. Keeping fingers crossed! Smiley

I have this happen every time I use a taxi. The cars work fine for me. But yes, I did the same thing as FatedCircle. I did a Force Error on the taxi then hit delete. I was then able to call a new taxi and go home. I have been to this lot since and played my business and all is well if I use my sims car.

I am starting to think this has to do with the open/close sign. Someone on the BBS said that their sim was stuck in the closing loop at their home business lot after they closed. Couldn't get them to stop blowing the whistle and shouting for people to leave.

Well I just got the stuck-on-the-lot bug. My Uni Sim has a gym and uses the pay poll thing. He dose not own a car. He took the taxi. I played for a few days on the business lot. I had him call a taxi then closed the business. He started blowing his whistle and yelling. He never stopped! Even when there was no one else on the lot. Or when the taxi showed up to take him home. I tried to exit out and told him to get in the taxi, but he was stuck in a loop. I deleted him, thinking I could just reload the lot. Well he was just standing there but the live mode is missing. It is just build/buy mode now. The lot shows him as being at his business, so now I can't play the dorm he came from. I will try the lot debugger hack and see if I can get everything working again. Undecided

Oh and I never saved the lot till after I deleted him. I don't normally save a business lot since it dose it when you leave.
