Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread

Would it be possible to make it a feature of AwesomeMod that Midlife Crisis wishes are credited toward the Midlife Crisis wish total even if they're satisfied without being promised? (When I satisfy these wishes without first promising them, the message "She has completed 0 midlife crisis wishes" stays the same in the moodlet.)

Akisej, someone reported having a similar issue except they hadn't stopped playing for awhile, it just...happened. My first question is, are you connecting to Origin? The person who reported the issue said that, every single item they DID NOT pay for disappeared, while items HE HAD paid for, did not.
I have Origin installed on here, but I don't start the game with the launcher. Even items I paid for and legit free downloads have disappeared and my save files also disappeared. After posting about it, I decided not to play, and now I'm finally getting around to playing almost another month later. I'm going to have to assume I'm missing some vital memory of doing something to make this happen. It wouldn't be the first time my memory has failed me. But now I have this on record, so if it happens again... ;P Thanks for the additional responses! Pescado is probably right though... tight pants. Edit: I am a freaking moron. My 'My Documents\Electronic Arts' folder was in a 'My Documents\Downloads' folder this whole time. I just noticed it. My pants feel incredibly tight right now. XD Thanks for the suggestions all the same and sorry for wasting peoples' time.

I came back to playing TS3 (all EPs through Pets, no stuff packs) after a month of inactivity, and found my game acting like it was a fresh install.
The last time I played, I installed a lot of store content successfully. In terms of mods/hacks, I only use AwesomeMod. I had a few save files going.
When I launched the game today, the game/graphics settings were back to default, the saves were all gone, and all store content was missing. I checked the launcher, too, as that's what I use to install content.
Took out AwesomeMod and any .package files I had and my stuff did not magically reappear.
So now I'm just asking if this is something other people have reported or if anyone has any suggestions for how this could happen. If not, I'll just have to assume I got really drunk one day and reinstalled my game for fun. =\

Seeds you say? Will look into this. Never encountered that myself, though. Got a save? Does a Flagrant System Error occur? What does it say?
Since I posted my error, I've updated AM twice (I'm pretty sure) and can no longer reproduce the error. It was as cwykes says, though--the action (Fish using bait) simply dropped out of the queue. Both of the sims I experienced it with were also gardeners so the seeds could have had something to do with it. Suddenly it's not a problem for me anymore, and I blame AM for fixing it. -shrug-

Is that so? Huh. Well, this servo was spawned using debug mode, so... Does that have anything to do with it?
I am unable to try to change appearance-- it doesn't give the option to my Servo. However, I'm in the process of enabling the "allmenus" cheat right now, which should give me the option. I'll follow up if that works.
Edit: I tried to change his appearance, and the result was that I had a completely different Sim-face overlapping my Servo's face. This face is male. Cancelled the interaction and the female face is still there. :\ I'm assuming that changing the appearance will just result in the whole head transforming to Sim-head.

From searching, I've learned that Servo getting a human facemask is a random bug that has no obvious trigger, but all of my searches are turning up results from '06. Am I missing a thread in which a solution to this issue was discovered and shared? My Servo has been in formalwear since his activation, but after patching FreeTime (I decided to grab the patch from the UK website since I've never made custom clothing) he now has a female facemask, complete with lovely eyeliner and black lipstick. I think I'm going to start making my Servos look like humans anyway, so it's not a big deal if there is no solution. It would be great if there is a known solution for this, though. In case someone views this who hasn't heard of this issue and wants to see what it looks like, here's a picture:

Ohhh, duh. Thanks for clarifying that for me. ^_^;;
Well, I have the most updated versions of interestlosshack.package and harderjobs.package. They were last updated on Feb 27 and Feb 25 respectively. I don't know if this means that they'll be updated again or what, but I haven't had the game (or hacks/mods) on my computer for more than a week so they're definitely the most updated versions.
I will keep an eye on the update thread, of course, to see if these items get updated again. Thanks! And, of course, thanks for any other advice you happen to have.

After, and I downloaded the FT-ready version. I got to it by going to the hack directory thread in The Armory and clicking on the link to Official Stuff - Free Time. I installed all the games on this machine at once and then downloaded all the hacks. I put all the items that I currently have into my game before I touched a single family. I wanted to give myself the best chance at a non-exploding Pleasantview that I could without emptying it. However, for new 'hoods that I make, I plan on using the empty templates. I digress, though... After. Edit: Just to confirm that this was truly the problem, I just tested with no other mods or CC but the interestlosshack.package in my game. The error still occurs. This is to rule out that it's a conflict at all. Right now I'm having a new error issue that results in my sims jumping out of school or work at 12:30. It also appears to be an Awesome mod/hack. If I need to, I'll post that issue here too, but if I can get the item out by my meticulous mod-culling, I'll keep it to myself. Incidentally, can you, Talysman, or can anyone else tell by looking at the log if my errors are occurring due to out-of-order installation? I just realized that I forgot to install FFS and I think I installed GLS after installing all my EPs. I hate stuff packs, and I wouldn't even use the ones I have if I hadn't paid for them. Edit II: I narrowed down this new error to harderjobs.package. It also does not appear to be a conflict, as I tested the game with nothing but harderjobs.package in the Downloads folder. I'll attach the log from that error here. Then I'm going to bed. [attachment deleted by admin]

Did you ever install the hacked bookcase from MTS2 that lets you study everything except Body?
Where did "Bookcase - Studious" come from?
I have never installed a hack like that. To be safe, I went through with the Clean Installer and checked my furniture folders. I don't see any kind of bookshelf, to be honest. Could that be the Education Career Reward showing up? There isn't one on that lot. I'm sorry, but I know so little about what goes on behind the curtains in my game. I do know that I never downloaded that hack, though. ^_^; Edit: I think that might just be the name for the bookshelf I have on this lot. In-game it's called "Bookworm's Delight". I think it came with FreeTime but I'm not sure.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Something Awesome causing Enthusiasm Tracker to error?
|
on: 2008 March 25, 06:23:18

Hello, I hope I'm putting this in the right place and doing all the right things...
I accidentally left my game in debug mode and noticed that when my sims (Cassandra and Don Lothario) try to study from the bookshelf they would get errors. So I looked at the logs that popped up and it was related to the Enthusiasm Tracker, with the message, "Illegal owner field in data reference."
I removed everything but Awesome stuff, and then I even culled my Awesome stuff. Then I thought that someone reading the log might be able to see just from that what object is causing the conflict, so I stopped trying to cull. However, if necessary, I will go through and figure out which one is the problem. Removing all mods whatsoever stops the error from happening.
Edit: I have narrowed it down to interestlosshack.package. Without that item in my game, I don't get the error.
I have Base Game + Uni, NL, FFS, GLS, OFB, Pets, Seasons, BV, and FT. This is a very fresh install that is fully patched up, because I just started playing on my laptop.
The error occurs on a lot with Cassandra, Don, and their servo, Jeeves. I haven't tried making it happen on another lot, but I can if someone wants me to.
I've included the log for the most recent error. Thanks in advance for any help or advice!
