What I want, is "No autonomous single Lobster Termidor, EVER" hack. Oh, and more, more, MORE, variety of painful deaths for those "Oh, I feel just a wee leettle tiny weeny itsy bitsy hungry, let's concoct the Termidor, yay!" numbskulls.

Use Autonomy to proscribe Lobster Thermidor while they're preparing it. No muss, no fuss, and no more autonomous Lobster Thermidor!  Wink

Since I couldn't do July at the time and missed out entirely on August, I decided that I was definitely doing this one. I'm not entirely happy with it, though. Maybe some of you can spot what needs fixing. I now have everything up to IKEA. I just haven't installed AL, yet.

The exterior is almost the same as before. I rather liked the style but not the house.

Since I upgraded last month, I couldn't resist playing with it a little bit. Maybe it's overdone?

Because I loaded the yard so much, instead of doing a full garage as usual, I decided to add a basement. The entrance is (hopefully) hidden well enough from the front and is accessible from the deck.

The second floor is fairly basic. I did have fun playing with the new wallpapers and such, though.

The first floor has a sitting room off of the kitchen which also leads to the smaller of the back decks. I left the dining area open to the kitchen but it is lockable. The stairs leading both upstairs and down to the basement have lockable doors. A small bath for guests and a larger bath for the family are included. I didn't decorate as much as I usually do inside. There is room for more items as you wish should you decide to download.

The basement is for skilling, partying, hobbies, and if your sims insist on instruments, let 'em make their noise downstairs!  Wink

Here they are unfurnished:

My entry is still underway but almost finished. Feces occurs and I'm still not caught up. Playing with my new Sims stuff has made it much more fun, though!  Grin

That is loverly!

I like your pit idea. Wolverines would be good, too.  Heh!
5  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: August on: 2008 August 02, 08:25:04
Floopy, that's gorgeous! I can imagine my maternal grandma there right now!  Wink

Well, it isn't as bad as some but it's bad enough.

Jim, I love the use of the balcony for your sims music sessions! Never would have thought of that and like everyone else, your use of the purple was great! It's not overdone but a beautiful accent, instead!

kalinagn: I, too, love the use of the stage for your tub. I'm not a huge fan of earth tones personally but I think you made a nice combination of them. I also think that a few more accenting colors here and there to draw the eye to key features would spice up the decor nicely. Overall lovely job!
8  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: August on: 2008 August 01, 17:30:18
Ornery woman, anyway! I can't wait to get a shot at this one! Grin
*throws sloppy sponges at Emma

It's definitely a challenge, esp with that PITA narrow walkway. I've never played that one, though. Off I go to see what sort of disaster I can create out of it.

That's the house I put my very first TS2 sim in. *snip*
So yeah, I feel kinda nostalgic about that lot too.  This month's House of Fail will be interesting.
I had the same nostalgic feeling over 190 Sim Lane as my first family is still there. I haven't been able to bring myself to go play them again as the founders are about to become elders. I just don't want to do that to them for some reason.
9  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: July on: 2008 July 29, 04:09:11
At least it'll be easy then. No walls to keep, even though they're in the way? I can get behind that! Grin
10  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! July: AUGH, get that stuff off my face! on: 2008 July 29, 04:07:16
Hurrrll! I can't decide whether to laugh or throw up at MickeyD dude!

It seems like we've got a new sort of disease breeding here, now in horrifyingly large size:
Yeech! Does ocular tinea come in different colors, now? Also, it's kinda hard to judge facial borkination on headless sims.  Huh
11  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! July: AUGH, get that stuff off my face! on: 2008 July 28, 03:50:38
What? You don't like those?

Gee. I just don't get it. What woman wouldn't want her partner blinded by the glare? All the better to hide from you, my dear.  Cheesy
12  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: July on: 2008 July 22, 07:07:57
Wow! These are incredible! I've grabbed them all up and am looking forward to playing them.  Wink
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Good free firewall - NOT ZoneAlarm! on: 2008 July 21, 08:08:29
I'd like to add my endorsement of Avira Antivir. When I downloaded it, my old Norton subscription had expired. I also had Zone Alarm and some other thing (must not have been very impressive, huh?). Anyway, when I ran Antivir, it caught viruses the other three together didn't. I don't think I'll be using anything else.  Wink
14  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Challenge idea - Last Sim Standing. Offer suggestions! on: 2008 July 21, 06:27:05
Heh. To get that room of trash, why not let the useless cleanbots do it? Maybe it's too random waiting for them to break down and do their thing, though. Hydrobots would be good for that, as well. Sims wear themselves out cleaning while the next challenge is coming their way.

I think that the townies we hate the most would be lots of fun to watch in this. No muss. No fuss. Bye bye annoyance.  Cheesy

That is utterly gorgeous! Wonderful build!

Gives new meaning to the term "silky lips." Ugh!
18  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! July: AUGH, get that stuff off my face! on: 2008 July 15, 06:11:41
my jaw really dropped on this one, DO.NOT.WANT!
Wow, that is just all kinds of fucked up.

What they said. Eeeww!
19  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: July on: 2008 July 09, 03:59:10
Wow! These are so amazing! There are so many ideas that are new to me, here. I'm just going to have to try some of them! I love the variety of exteriors (Asian, modern, traditional), so many cool things to do with the useless pool (expansion, reflecting pool, fountains) bridges and incredible floor plans! Wow! Just wow! incredible work, everyone!  Grin
20  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Lot Impostor Challenge: Build the MATY Senate. on: 2008 July 08, 23:43:16
Thanks! Now where's yours? Tongue
21  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Lot Impostor Challenge: Build the MATY Senate. on: 2008 July 08, 18:07:30
I'm so glad you thought of it, too!  Tongue

Now I need to go back and redo the front of the building so it looks closer to its model. Many thanks for the "awesome" comment!

Edit: Building is fixed --final version and front view picture reloaded to reflect the change.
22  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: July on: 2008 July 08, 04:36:29
*Claps*

Beautiful, Hecubus & Goggalor! I'm loving the variety everyone's showing here! And to think we have another three weeks to go. Whew!

23  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Lot Impostor Challenge: Build the MATY Senate. on: 2008 July 08, 04:21:16
Emma, yes they do. You're right and thank you. I should have taken them off first. Actually, since I forgot to add better flooring for the living room, I think I'll fix those things and reload the building. I saw Mildly's approval of the ninja and added it at the last minute.

Edit: Fixed lot though not the pictures. No more extra crap on the roof, just the ninja and smaller statues.
24  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! July: AUGH, get that stuff off my face! on: 2008 July 07, 21:35:15
Oops! My bad. Grin
25  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: July on: 2008 July 07, 20:59:23
WooHoo!

These are fantastic! I do love to glean new ideas. *Nabs and dashes*  Grin
