I installed the crack merely to make sure that my install had, in fact, worked before taking the time to install the framework and awesomemod.  Yes, the little bastard was removed after updating.

Ok.  I still have no idea what caused everything to uninstall, but it wasn't in the registry either.

I have since re-installed the base game only along with the accompanying crack and replaced the desktop shortcut to bypass the launcher.  The game worked fine.  I then installed patch 1.24.3 followed by the framework, awesomemod and then awesomemod updater.  Now when I try to start the game, I am being asked for my registration code.  I was under the impression that awesomemod prevented the diskcheck and prevented the game from phoning home.  Am I missing something?  Maybe I'm a tard. I have searched and searched for an answer.  If sympathy counts for anything, I badly burned myself today by spilling boiling water on my giant pregnant stomach.  I was hoping to play tonight whilst my other two spawn are sleeping to help take my mind off of the pain.  I beg for your merciful help.

I didn't, but my pc didnt shut down properly today.  Could be the problem.  Sucks because this a 3 week old pc.

The program files are there.  However, in the control panel, under programs they are not there.  I tried to launch from the .exe in the Bin folder and got a message that the game was not installed.  I am now trying to re-install the base game and see if I can get it to work.

I launched the game after sp/ep install to check if all was well and it all worked fine.  Now, some days later, nothing is working.

Feel free to bash with 2x4, but is a crack not necessary to run the game without a disc?

I have arr'ed versions of base game and all stuffs/eps.  I have installed them all (in order)  manually patched them, installed the cracks, not installed the download manager.  Went to finally start playing today only to find that they are magically no longer installed even though they exist in program files and all icons are still on the desktop.  Running windows 7.  What the hell is happening?

Clearly, you are more awesome than I.  Thanks anyway for challenging me.  You forced me to learn more on my own.

In any case I fixed it myself by using the tombstone of L&D to add neighbor to family and then moved them into a house.

I think you'll have to beat me until I am actually a he.

Ok, I must be totally screwed then because I have no clue what you are talking about.  I have been looking through all sorts of files to find something akin to a lot descriptor entry, but I haven't that faintest idea if I am even on the right track.

How do I know which lot is the Broke household?  Talk to me like I am a two year old.

The family still exists but there house is not there.  I had another sime invite Brandi over and she came.  It's just the Broke house is not in Pleasantview and I have no idea where it went.  It appears that all of the files are there (I think) what should I be looking for that is missing?

I dont know what the heck happened.  First pleasantview completely vanished.  I had a recent back up and was able to restore it.  When I did, the Broke house--the last house I had played--had vanished.  What happened?

I do have the Pets patch.  I even tried reinstalling it.  Changing appearance did not work either.  I ended up creating everyone again as one two very large families, putting them in the sim bin, and then using SimPe to give my already moved in sims surgery.  That worked.  I am just hoping they dont revert again because I have a 7 month old who doesnt care much about my sims or if I fix them  Smiley

I created several families in CAS and when I load them into the game, they have the wrong faces.  I do have pets, but the families were not loaded with a pet, so I am not sure what gives.  The faces have not reverted to defaults, but instead have different eyes and noses than those I created them with.  How can I fix this?
14  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2008 March 12, 04:45:56
I would love to add the clean up template that still has the maxis families and the npcs/townies that they know.  However, the link on page one appears not to be working.  Has it been updated or moved?  Is it now on another page.  Its a bit much to read all 18 pages of this thread to find out.  Thanks.
