1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Personality and Enthusiasm on: 2008 October 07, 03:25:55
I would love a hack, that makes the aspiration just decay slower instead of not decaying at all, once a lifetime want is reached or the lifetime-aspiration bar is maxed. It would make much more sense, that a sim would still be devastaded by the death of a loved one, even if he had reached his lifetime goal in the past.

Hook has made one - semiperma plat.  It gives sims who have reached perma plat a slower rate of aspiration decay.  I'm not sure if it's in peasantry here (it used to be) but I picked it up over at simbology recently.

I was having photobooth problems around the same time that the car woohoo became a problem.  Emma, you are not alone!

It's not the spinning that comes with changing outfits?  That's the only spinning I've ever seen in game.
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Has the clothing tool changed, or is it AL?? on: 2008 September 21, 20:53:13
I don't suppose it's possible to make them automatically go to the clothing tool upon aging when they've been told to grow up with one day left, rather than waiting until the end?

I didn't realise at first that it jumped in automatically because I usually age my sims up as soon as I can rather than waiting until they must and the game does it for you.

I can cope if it can't be done, but it would be nice.

No fresh food at all.  No fish, nothing.

I was thinking the other day when I saw a sim relaxing on their bed that it would be nice if they could then grab their cell phones and chat away while still relaxing...  Sitting down is the next best thing.

The permanent extra wall height would bug the crap out of me!

The one thing I'm really wishing for at the moment is for butlers to be more useful...  I mean serving lunch meat sandwiches, TV dinners and cereal - come on!

Emma, my sims still never leave their lots!

Thanks, Pescado!  Kiss  And nope, not dying any time soon.

Going to be a voice of dissent - liking it the way it is now!

If the buy clothing function returns later, could it possibly come in as a completely separate function to choosing clothes?  So we could perhaps choose clothes and have it work as now, and also buy clothes and collect multiple outfits as required.

I'm just liking the non-clog of wardrobes now!

Wouldn't clean installer help determine what's in the gibberish file names?

Yes, the brain is decidedly mushier than normal right now.   Roll Eyes  Guess we just have to get used to it.
11  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Car woohoo and invisible sims on: 2008 August 17, 21:32:18
Thanks, Kazzandra.  I'd added risky woohoo for the same reasons you stated in the other thread...  and then hadn't played for a few weeks so I'd forgotten it was there.  I was sure I hadn't added any new hacks at the time, but now I remember.
12  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Car woohoo and invisible sims on: 2008 August 17, 07:38:29
Yes, happened with both cars I tried - one regular, one custom.
13  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Car woohoo and invisible sims on: 2008 August 17, 06:10:03
Recent problem developed here...  Attempting to woohoo (was actually try for baby) in a car is now leading to error messages.  To make matters worse, resetting makes the sims reappear at the mailbox, but as soon as they move they become invisible.

Help!  I'm completely clueless here!

Error log attached...

Since when was anything about the sims meant to make sense?
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: While out hiking, Jake met... on: 2008 July 15, 22:04:09
I decided to live dangerously last night.  It was an elder that doesn't have too long left, so I had him call the ninja.  While on the phone, the ninja was poofing around the lot, but way too fast for someone to learn to teleport from him.

I decided that inviting him over and making friends with him were going TOO far...  But surely the game should have checks in place to make sure sims only bring home people from hikes that can be interacted with properly.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / While out hiking, Jake met... on: 2008 July 15, 08:15:21
Ninja!  Shocked  Surely this sort of thing shouldn't happen?  Sheesh!

Even stranger, the ninja can be called on the phone...  I'm thinking it would be a bad idea to try, yes?
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's on YOUR Wish List? on: 2008 July 13, 21:41:25
At this point in time I'm desperate for something that makes it less ridiculously easy to reach permaplat through the LTA meter.  That's one particular thing that drives me nuts.  You can be actively working to avoid having a sim achieve their LTW, and they fill the LTA meter regardless.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What happened to the clothing tool? on: 2008 July 07, 00:26:14
Yes.  I even tried replacing the phones (land lines and mobiles).  It appears to be one borked lot - I'll move that family elsewhere and see what happens...  when I get around to playing them again.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What happened to the clothing tool? on: 2008 July 06, 23:43:42
errr...  I have one borked lot it seems, others are fine.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What happened to the clothing tool? on: 2008 July 06, 23:34:39
After updating clothingtool I find that my autoyak phone functions have vanished again...  Can't be related, can it?  Updated at the same time were the lot debugger and nohobbyspam.  Not currently using macrotastics.
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / What happened to the clothing tool? on: 2008 July 06, 07:50:16
I recently added a few stuff packs (IKEA, H&M and celebrations), and have noticed ever since that the clothing tool appears to have lost the "select accessories" option.  It appears I can no longer buy jewelry for my sims unless I go to comm lots - something I avoid like the plague!  I have the most recent clothing tool files, and everything worked properly until I added the stuff packs.  Help!
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Regenerating Catalog Thumbnail. How? on: 2008 July 05, 23:02:12
Yup, CTRL right click regenerates thumbnails, but only in CAS, more's the pity.  If there are lots of thumbnails to be regenerated it is often quicker to delete the file, but if it's only a few, going through and regenerating them all one by one isn't too bad.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's on YOUR Wish List? on: 2008 June 27, 08:16:35
Kyna - I began doing the same thing.  Sims only get a skill point if they want it.  Sims don't get skills for a promotion unless they want to get a skill point. etc, etc.

It has resurrected my interest that waned very rapidly once I got stuck on the macrotastics skilling treadmill.

Sims only study at uni if they want to.  I have a dizzy random go to class mod in, so they don't automatically get dragged off to class and end up getting perfect grades that way.  I'm actually enjoying uni again and end up playing through entire semesters at times without sending them to exams early.  If I'm insanely bored, I'll send them to exams early if everyone's grade meter is high enough for them to pass (just!).  No more automatic 4.0 GPA.

I'll be anxiously awaiting the visitor controller update.  As annoying as some career outfits are, I do miss them in a strange way!

Heh. I've had no computer/interwebz problems. Australian Broadband FTW!

Yes, but we pay through the nose for it!

Gets to 7% downloaded and the server resets - every time.  Huh
