I think you're special, cause AFAIK you're supposed to put your mods into the last EP's directory and NOT in the base game's dir.
2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Config settings not saving anymore on: 2009 August 10, 17:41:51
It's really easy to test.  Change an obvious setting like how often they change out of their work clothes to 75, save the config, hit reload.  If it's no longer 75 then it's not saving.
As I said: I can't confirm that it's not working.
In other words: It works fine for me.

Can't confirm this.

Hi there..

Is it possible to show a list of all traits of a specific sim?
Just like this: showtraits [sim]

thanks in advance

mmmmm... Oh.. well... you could either have your sim "Really" get to know the sim you are curious about.... or you could do what I do... CTRL Click said sim - Select said sim - Learn what braingoopy stuff I needed - CTRL click - select my original sim - and continue on my merry way after makeing a mental note to NOT let my sim breed with the one I just checked out.  Generally takes bout 15 seconds... (unless I decide to screw with selected sim - then it could take me awhile) IMHO much easier than going to command line mode.

Uhm... well thanks for the answer...
The sim I want to know the traits of is my own sim. The reason I underlined the "all" was meant to say that I wanted to know all the traits of my sim. Not only the 5 I'm able to select myself.
I'm speaking of the invisible traits as well. Like the "Rocker" or "Can Sneak" etc

I get an "too many iterations" error when I try to sell via the bry object.
Only occurs when the sim's got some more items in its inventory like 1000 or 2000.
Am I supposed to give some (300 or so) items to another sim and sell the items with that one?
Or is there the possibility to fix that error somehow?

Hi there, it's me again spamming around.

I recently noticed a habit of macro-driven sims that interferes with my newest business lot - a bakery.
What happens is something that I think shouldn't happen: When the macro-driven sims are hungry, they help themselves with cakes from the business owners inventory which originally were intended to be sold.

Is there a way to prevent them from taking the cakes and just go get something to eat from the fridge?
9  Awesomeware / Playsets & Toys / Re: Fruitbowl of Awesomeness: Death To All Nesses Edition on: 2009 January 30, 03:37:25
Well actually I wanted to ask you if you could add this feature to your awesome fruitbowl (or maybe a new/optional object - for those who are not interested in the new feature?)

Example:
You place that awesome fruitbowl somewhere in the kitchen and at runtime the fruitbowl will modify/manipulate all available juicers in the kitchen (or specific area?)
to additionally use fruits/veggies/boots from the inventory of the active sim (possibly business owner also?) to make juice.

I hope this explanation is better. If not I'll give it another try.

Now that I think about it... wouldn't it be less work to create just a global hack which does the job...?

Looking forward to your reply.
10  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Macro Control: Macrotastics on: 2009 January 29, 23:54:50
Yes, yes it is. Because it works faster
I should have mentioned that I use a hack which makes talking to plants faster. I asked my sim why the heck don't you just talk to the plant and harvest it already instead of watering it all the day xD. I know I am impatient.
Now the pieces seem to fit.
And what about the options?
If I found a tutorial which explains how the code with all it's expressions works I would do it myself.
(All I did find were tutorials about how to do specific tasks. But none about how everything works together.)

In junction to the post above I ask myself: Is there actually any difference between Business->Be Farmer and Macro->Garden?
And: Would it be possible (<-used quite often today) to draw a line between "taking care of the plants" and "harvesting".
I would like to have one of my sims to take care of watering, weeds, bugs etc and one Sim to only harvest the crops

I also realised in the latest version that a sim with garding badge gold is overwatering the plants before harvesting to get their need up instead of talking to the plant. Is that on purpose?

Thanks in advance

Edit: How about sim-specific (Macrostatistics Launcher/Business Runs You Sign) options: Watering On/Off, Spraying On/Off, Pull out On/Off, Talk to On/Off, Harvesting On/Off?

Sorry for resurrecting this thread but I've got a question/request for this object.
I really hate that annoying dialog for storing produce in the Juicer cause it's so much micro-managed.
Just wanted to know/request three things:
1. Would it be possible for an object (like the fruit bowl) to manipulate the way another object (like the juicer) works at in-game-time when placed in game (for example: in the same room/lot) - so that if the fruit bowl is not placed the juicer would behave as always?
2. Would it be possible to let the juicer handle produce like the fridge handles fish - making a fish meal with fish in inventory as ingredient - making juice with produce in inventory as ingredient? That would get rid of the need of that damn dialog
3. If the above two were possible - would it be possible to combine them and bring out a new version of the so awesome fruit bowl?

I would find out and do it myself but - speaking for me - modding Sims 2 (understanding the code showed by Sim PE) is much harder then modding Oblivion/FO3.

I'm curiously looking forward to any reply.

Ah yes - sorry for my bad English - if it's hard to understand I would be pleased to try and explain again.

When I deactivate them my neighborhood doesn't load - i'll try out which hack(s) it could be

i've got the bad one(s)!
It's something from "DMA Sims" - once activated if I deactivate it again the neighborhood won't load
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 February 27, 18:29:47
Weird. Normally when you have CC in lots and have CC disabled they just flash blue. Very strange....

That was what I experienced - until now.

Now that I've disabled cc one time, the neighborhood doesn't want to load anymore... even if I enable cc again
maybe it just takes longer to load but I don't know why it should do so
It seems to me as if it hangs somewhere in the loading process - I just see "Loading Neighborhood XXX" - for half an hour.
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 February 27, 18:14:40
Yes it's fresh.
And yes, I didn't put old character files into.

Since I installed FT my old neighborhoods where I used custom content didn't load at all.
(I did deactivate cc before installing FT)
So I used the *fresh* neighborhood files from Sims 2 dir.

Yes I'm using some hacks....

When I deactivate them my neighborhood doesn't load - i'll try out which hack(s) it could be
But first error log and custom content list - attached

EDIT:
Sorry, wasn't the right custom content xD

Hi,

there seems to be a little conflict with something in the "eat" macro.
When my Sims prep some food for themselves using the microwave they don't eat it. Instead they put it directly into the dishwasher.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 February 27, 16:43:08
Hi everyone!

I think I've found something really annoying:
Everytime my sims are off to work they suddenly appear on the lot again after some time but still within the time they should be working.
When they should return from work the message "You weren't at work blah blah" pops up - plus: I don't get any money.
And also I get some wierd anim-string error message

Sorry for my bad english
