1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: how to download store items into my game on: 2010 August 11, 16:12:11
There are several posts everyday just like yours.  Everyone wants an easy way to get something handed to them on a silver platter without putting forth any effort.  Life is just not like that.  Neither is this forum.

I noticed that you just registered on this site today, so you probably didn't read the volumes of information available that would tell you exactly what you want to know.  Take the time to read the posts.

If you want quick and easy, buy from the EA site.

An easy solution is found in this post.   http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,17843.0.html

Brilliant and easy to do.  Thanks for the solution.

Procmon did find a sims 2 package (hair that was on My Hair Blog that everyone uses) in my downloads folder and it kept trying to load it over and over.  I removed that and the game loaded and ran much faster. Now, with no mods other than AM, my sims are all skipping work and school.   Sometimes I get lag at midnight.   I keep getting the damn Error 12 on saves.  I am using "Save As" on saves.  So far, it appears that I get one good save for each time I restart the program.  The second save always craps out on me.

With the latest update, it looks like EA is checking to see if we have bought the store items before properly installing them.  I tested this by buying a few.  Only those will install correctly.  The others that I downloaded from shared spaces are saying "Success" but the content is not there.  I ran the recompressor to make sure.

I hadn't played this game since September and just got WA installed on New Year's weekend.  EA still does not have this program working correctly.  They seriously need to do beta testing with users before these releases and forced game updates.

I have the same problem.  Reinstallation did nothing.  I was beginning to think my computer had a problem but I checked it out.  Just WA is involved.  I removed AM but it still ran super slow.  I'm trying different things like going back to old saves and deleting various CC.  Nothing helped yet.

I noticed that when I removed households from Supreme Commander Radar, it shorted my save time to less than 2 minutes.  Then again, it was max 5 minutes with several on radar.

I thought I was the only OCD player.  Most of you have me looking so unorganized.

I just HAVE to make sure that everyone ages correctly.  I hate when a younger brother gets to elder stage before his older sister so I force myself to play several houses and sometimes it is a month before I get back around to a house again.  Notes are essential.   I can tell from SimPE when I didn't spend enough time on a family.

All my townies are remade with sim surgery so I have no ugly people.  I work 'em like dogs to keep fit.  If only I did the same for me... Roll Eyes  I really need to get on the treadmill more.  But it is so easy to avoid like I'm doing RIGHT NOW.
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Daily Gardener and "Walk To" on: 2008 June 12, 20:43:58
For the "daily gardener" to work, I had to fire the gardener and rehire.   I noticed it worked on newly moved in lots so I fired the ones on existing lots and rehired and now it works.

I often have bugs with many things like "walk to" , "talk to plants" , "call guests to dinner".  These are intermittant.  If I get the sim to leave the house in the car and go downtown, it seems to "fix" it upon returning.  I think these are EAxis problems with the multiple ep's.  I also run the mod conflict detector and have none.  I noticed on the bbs at the Sims2 site, many people are having these same issues.  Most say they have no downloads.

I had nearly the same thing happen to one house right after intalling FT.  The Grandmother went to the back yard to get on this object from NL that gives body skill and is like a big gyroscope.  She caught on fire and died.  I had never seen that object catch on fire.  After the crying and wailing, her grandson went to water flowers in the greenhouse and caught on fire and died in spite of pleaing by the parents.  I exited without saving at this point, but had saved the Grandmother's death.

Upon return, I had the mom fix dinner and while she was eating at the table, inside the house, with normal temperature, she caught on fire and died.  I am like , screw this!  I just saved and moved the 2 remaining sims to a new house where I have no more problems.  I deleted the old house.

I think this is a Seasons/ FT interaction bug.  I noticed it happening to others on the Sim2 bbs after installing FT.
