TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Werewolves grrr / Made fix, download at your own risks

Incidentally, I had a sim turn another sim into a werewolf and I do NOT LIKE IT AT ALL!! Why is it getting turned into a bloodsucking creature that dies in the sunlight is a GOOD thing, but when you get turned into a werewolf you lose a fight, lose a best friend, and get furious at the sim who did it to you? Makes no damn sense to me... Guess all my sims will get Turned from the pack leader to avoid such conflicts. Which is why Tara Kat is the desginated Changer in my game. I don't care if all my Sims are furious at her, but then they won't be furious at others of their kind. Such as whomever I want to hook them up with.

Following theo advice, I've made a fix for the werewolf versus custom skin problem. For the moment my computer has not blown up and my game is perfectly working. I just set the skintone line in the property set to 00000000-0000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000. I chose to do that on the S3 werewolf skintone, as for me werewolves are dark brown, and the S4 was too black. I tested this with a custom skin sim, a S2 sim and a alien sim. It works. The alien doesn't show some green under the fur, as it does with the S5 (alien) werewolf skin, but it bothers me less than custom skin sims not having fur when werewolves.....
If some of you feel adventurous enough to try it, be my guest.
Pioupiou
I've downloaded it (along with only two other people, it says), and I'll post here how it works. Edit: Okay, downloaded and tested, and it works like a charm. Great work, Pioupiou!!

You'd think default replacement skins would go with the maxis default werewolf stuff... maybe?
What I'm really, really, really hoping for. Oh, well. Time to go change Simmie's skintone and cross my fingers!

Agreed. Painful. Of course, I can just use SimPE to make them think they went to Uni, create them as an already-made couple, and go from there, saving myself a lot of time ... and, as for looks, I created them both in BodyShop, so it's not like I don't have them anywhere. And I've updated both, anyway. So I actually would prefer to change them. Sounds like that's the way to go. Thanks, Syberspunk!

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Change Neighborhoods?

Hey, all. I have a family that I totally love, and have invested A LOT of time in (got both mom and dad through uni, had them meet, and date, finally fall in love and marry, and now have a kid). Problem: the neighborhood they're in (the original Pleasantview or whatever) is getting a bit ... crowded. I downloaded an awesome terrain map off a site, and really want to create a new neighborhood and start fresh. Only, I don't want to loose this family! Is there any way -- be it via a hack, in game trick, even a program I have to download -- to move sims/families from one neighborhood to another?

Ah, was wondering how that all worked. But too shy to ask, I've bugged the forum enough for today, me thinks. So, does it just entirely clone the "archetype" to the "patient" sim, make them exact duplicates?

Oooo, I have SimsPE, hadn't even thought about it. Thanks, Issy! Edited: okay, I went into SimPE, found my Sim ... but the DNA is just a bunch of nonsense! Well, nonsense to me ... Would anyone explain, or point out a tutorial?

I've been trying, and failing, to find a hack that allows me to edit an existing Sim's entire appearance. Everything. Including, what I'm really looking for, the skintone. I have InSIM, but it doesn't do skintones, just facial structure and then what you could get using a mirror (change hair, makeup, etc.) Anyone know of anything else? I've been scouring this site, the InSIM site, MTS2, even SimChaotics and Logical Sims. Nothing!!!
