1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2013 March 18, 19:23:03
I googled and used several torrent search sites but was not able to find reliable DLs of any Sims Prima Guide after LN (which I already have besides base game, WA and AM).
Has anybody the other guides as pdf?

No, but Sims Vip have some game guides they did themselves.  http://simsvip.com/game-guides/sims-3-seasons/

Thanks, yes, I know those but I am looking for the official guides.

Your ccmerge fix in DCBackup folder or Awesomemod didn't fix it but ccmerge fix in overrides did it! Thanks again.  Wink
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 09.06.2012) on: 2012 September 10, 18:19:57
I have a problem:
I did't play Sims for some months but with the new expansion I returned to the game and installed the addon with all CC/mods removed (also the spellbook and your fix, which worked until then without problems). I also installed the Store patch. After that I put back all my CC. Now my Sims jump back when completing learning a spell from the spellbook, with and without your recent release of your StoreFix. With the "old" version of your StoreFix (I kept it as backup) the spellbook workes fine.
I guess the problem is that I applied the Store patch before I put the CC (in particular the spellbook) back in the mod-folder?

I searched/googled but there seems to be no way to rerun the Store patch manually to update the spellbook. So I am rather clueless what to do...

If your store stuff, the spell book, is decrapped you must decrap the store patch in order for it to work. Also you can just delete the store patch folder and the launcher should ask you again to download it.

Thanks for your quick answer. I deleted the "ContentPatch" folder and so the Store patch installed again. Unfortunately the spellbook was still not fixed --> same error (Sims jumping back when comleting learning a spell).
I should mention I have the store stuff as extracted non-decrapped package files.
What am I doing wrong?

With the newest Test-version of AM there is a bug with the "write thank-you-card" (playing the game in German, I don't know the exact English expression, sorry  Embarrassed) at the mailbox after a wedding. The action is immediately cancelled. Without AM the Sim sits down at a table and writes the card.
That's odd, I thought that was fixed already. Try starting the interaction closer to the chair, or the mailbox. AwesomeMod attempts to prevent sims from engaging in slow-ass 50-mile hikes to find a chair when they COULD just perform the action in-place.

I tried the (then cancelled) interaction with a Sim standing directly beside the mailbox, but not yet with a Sim beside a chair/table. I'll try that next time I load up the game.

Quote
Also, before the option to write that card appears at the mailbox, the Sim can take out a present box (=wedding present), but nothing new is added to the inventory and no message appears in the upper right corner. I am not sure if this is also a bug (or a feature  Wink).
It's possible that you ended up with zero candidates capable of giving you presents. AwesomeMod fixes the issue where you can receive presents from your horse, as well as being able to receive presents that the giving sims could not possibly afford: With AwesomeMod, the gift-giver must be able to actually buy the gift, or nothing will be given.

May be the fact that there was no wedding party the reason behind it? I just made an "instant-wedding" somewhere in the middle of the street, so there were no guests = no presents?  Huh

Here's the collections I managed to finish that didn't erase themselves. I had actually finished all of them, but then my game crashed, and even though I'd saved multiple times, the collections I did today vanished. I give up. Someone else can finish.

DLed and tested -> everything's working fine. Great job!
Thanks alot for your effort and for sharing.  Wink

Are your items decrapfied? Those collections were made using decrapified content, so unless your content is decrapified, that would happen.

I have exclusively the store items uploaded by Moryrie (those in 9 big package files). I assumed they are already decrapified...?
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 October 25, 07:56:58
@Howabominable:I put your collections in my game and the collection folders DO appear, but most of them are empty and some contain only a fence and/or fireplace.
Maybe some language-dependent issue for I play the game in German?
11  Awesomeware / Playsets & Toys / Re: Salvaged Stories Crap on: 2009 April 03, 08:11:35
There is a problem with the leaf pile bed. Having the ACR-Hack installed I always get an error message ("too many iterations") when the leaf pile bed is on the lot an an adult sim (I testet it only with an adult an a child) clicks on another adult. Probably some whoohoo-check?
No problem with any of the other CS beds.

Errorlog attached.
12  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: Pie Menu Text Strings Fix on: 2008 October 17, 08:45:42
I discovered another inconsistency in the German telephone menu:
"Anrufen...Vermieter...Kakerlaken melden" (report cockroaches to the landlord) is correctly in the normal "Call..." menu but "Anrufen ...Vermieter ...Reparatur anfragen" (ask landlord for repair) again has two times an incorrectly inserted space and thus appears as an extra menu option.

So if you get to fix that along with the other mentioned errors I really will adore you for the rest of my life.   Cheesy
13  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: Pie Menu Text Strings Fix on: 2008 October 16, 08:43:06
Thanx, thanx, THANX!!

The messed up pie menues in German always annoyed me to death.
But one question: is the fix compatible with the official patch? The magic cauldron was updated so it has the new "Weiter (...) herstellen" (Continue crafting (...)).

I noticed even more errors in several pie menues in the German language, I will list them here in the case you have the spare time to fix them  Roll Eyes

- the self-interaction "Unterhalten...Breakdance vorführen/Breakdance für Trinkgeld vorführen" (Entertain...Perform breakdance in English ?) is not in the same menu with "Unterhalten...Rappen" oder "Unterhalten...Feuertanz aufführen" (Rap and Firedance) due to an additional space right before the three dots

- the new kiss in AL ("Küssen...Abknutschen") (suck face) is not in the same menu with all the other kiss-interactions (again additional space thing)

- the "buy potions"-option in the matchpaker menu is messed up: if you choose the number of potions you want to buy they are spread across different menues (hm, is this comprehensive?)

With this fix the dating presents outside an apartment are pickable, but the genie lamp from that gypsy woman is not.
Is there a chance that this will be included in future updates?
15  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 September 08, 17:31:30
So far, the only items not showing up for me are the Mummy hairs for any of the ages.
Same problem here. No Mummy "hair" at all.  Sad
16  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 September 03, 17:29:43
Here are the new Spooky objects at The Sims 2 Store - 17 total - I bought all 17 - it wouldn't let me upload the rar file here.  Here's the link http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?g26mgx9csga - I hope they don't update The Sims 2 Store anymore.  Maybe they won't after The Sims 3 is out.
Something is wrong with that upload. Everytime I try to download it I get a file with 0 kb!
Could you try to upload it once more, please?

And btw thanx for sharing with us.  Kiss
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Urgh; AL townies breeding like rats! on: 2008 September 01, 17:27:59
I ran the game (Belladonna Cove) in windowed mode and checked the neighborhoods/E001/characters directory:
every time my Sim went from one comm-lot to another 2 new character files were created. And upon returning home, 1 additional was created.
I already have more 520 files in the character directory  --  without any CAS Sims or subhoods!

This is far more than "what is necessary to populate your apartment buildings" I think?
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 February 28, 13:30:02
I play the game with a variety of hacks from the FT-directory plus the NoNPCrevert from MTS2 and everything works fine.  Smiley

The first thing I found is when you tell a sim to "make many" of something on the sewing machine or pottery wheel, about 95% of the time, they'll only make one. The other problem I noticed with the sewing machine is after the sim was done sewing something, they'd jump out of the seat and if I tried to have them sew something else, they'd complain and have a chair in their thought bubble, so I guess they couldn't sit in it? If I sold the chair and bought a new one, it would fix it, but it's rather annoying.
I cannot confirm somthing like this. My Sim produces several "Topflappen" (being German I do not know the translation) in a row without interrupt.

Quote
I also noticed the new badges take ridiculously long to earn. Like I had one sim work in the garden while another one was sewing, and the gardening sim got his silver badge before the one sewing even got a bronze badge. And I had another sim on the potting wheel for 3 sim days straight with no badge. (I used MaxMotives)
I noticed that too. I vaguely suppose that only the first minutes sewing the Sims get talent points. Maybe stopping after some minutes and restarting sewing speeds up the accumulation of points?  Huh

I've had tons of queue dropping and every time it happens, my sim will jump and their plumbbob will disappear for a second. It's really annoying since I have to tell them to do things one thing at a time, and lots of times I have to tell them to do things like 5 times before they'll do it for longer than a second.
Never encountered that phenomenon. Guess, it must be a conflict with some hack or other game modification...  Undecided

Quote
I've also seen lots of graphical glitches. Like in fall, there will be floating leaves like the ones that normally fall, only they just stay in the same spot in mid-air.

This happend already before FT. Fortunately those leaves dissolve after some time.

Another one I got was when my sim with the nature hobby was bug collecting, tons of bees surrounded him. I guess it's supposed to happen. They stayed for like 10 minutes (real time) but the problem is, they didn't fully disappear. There were these almost invisible but not fully. They followed him everywhere and even stayed while he was in the shower. I took pics of the ghost-like bees:
Ok, that must be really annoying.

I'm also getting the bug where when a sim comes home from work, they lose around $30,000, instead of getting paid the amount they're supposed to.
I read in another forum that the Insimenator is responsible for this bug. Never using the Insim., I cannot prove whether this is true.

There are also some previous bugs returning like the bedside problem that happened in BV, but was fixed in the second patch, well, it's now broken again.
Sorry to say, but it was never fixed by EAxis, not even with the 2nd patch.  Wink

I have a problem with the converted craft bench:
my game is installed in German and when I click the bench I only get the options of the normal toy bench. The new things that came with Castaway do not appear in the menu.  Sad
Also no robot-related options.

Could you check this?
