Those specs are close to borderline, definitely NOT what could be described as decent specs for the game.

Nevertheless,  i still think it's an odd problem. I believe that if it was simply a thing of my mac not handling it, it would express itself in some other way. It doesn't make any sense that even in the lowest configuration, it's the same behavior than in some of the highest configuration.

And if my mac can handle Bioshock 2, i believe than it should run to certain degree the sims 3 with ONE ep O_o

Sorry about that.
I believe problems began after i installed the EP. I had several months without playing The Sims. As soon as i got the EP, and i installed it, i downloaded AwesomeMod and installed it too.
Specs:
Intel core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz
2Gb ram
Geforce 8600M Gt 256 mb

Question.
I'm not sure if this is related to AwesomeMod, but this didn't happen to me before.
I have a MacBook Pro, with decent specs. I've played The Sims 3 before without any problems. Lately though, no matter the configuration, the games runs perfectly but like every 3-4 minutes, it's slows down for 30 secs. A slow down similar to when a PC cannot meet the requirements. Then, it returns to it's normal state.
This makes the game almost unplayable, it's very annoying.
Maybe it's kind of obvious, but should i try taking awesomemod out?  Huh

Well, i've enjoyed the game a lot. My main complaint is sleeping takes a LOT of time, and it doesn't speed up much when going into Speed 3. Anyone having the same issue?

I?m guessing that's with uainntjak, right?
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bugged Strangetown and Veronaville characters? on: 2006 May 28, 02:01:42
Bleh, i decided not to play them a long time ago. I stick with Plesantville and my custom neighborhood Tongue

Hi! Wink I was away from the community for a long time now  Roll Eyes Many things happened those months.
Anyway, i was expecting to find a lot of autonomous/visitor-enabled objects when i came back. It just seems logical to me that since OFB is out many people would like to open shops where customers can use different type objects (and you charge them per hour). Like gyms, or a internet-cafe.
In fact, i made a mod some months ago that allowed customers to use computers in your business lot, and to my surprise there is only like 2 other mods like that around.

I guess what i'm trying to say is...am  i missing something? Is there a global mod that let visitors use all kind of objects in bussiness or people isn't interested in this feature? Huh
9  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Internet-Cafe Computer (Visitor Enabled Computer) on: 2006 March 09, 18:24:57
Yep. It should work on residential lots.
10  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Internet-Cafe Computer (Visitor Enabled Computer) on: 2006 March 07, 01:32:45
It should be in the electronics category with other computers and tvs. Maybe it does require an ep, i'll take a look on that
11  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Internet-Cafe Computer (Visitor Enabled Computer) on: 2006 March 06, 09:45:47
It looks exactly as the Little Sister computer since it is a clone of it. I'll be posting a screenshot.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 09:12:38
Okey. Posted it on the peasantry, please let me know if it works well for you.
13  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Internet-Cafe Computer (Visitor Enabled Computer) on: 2006 March 06, 09:10:32
Well this is my first object mod  Cool I guess it's still on beta, so please let me know if you find any bug.
This is a computer that you can place on community lots and visitors will autonomy want to play, check and send emails or work at the computer. This is specially good in Open For Business, for some us that want to open an Internet-Cafe, charging per hour. Enjoy Smiley

P.D: Thanks to Ancient Sim for her suggestion and to MATY's friends.

I think i've done it. I modified a computer so it is now visitor enabled and made several of it functions pretty autonoumous. Cheesy It works pretty well.
If anyone is interested i can post it...
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 05:42:45
Do you think that will ever be possible?
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 02:20:27
It doesn't seem like you can invite someone to join a lan party. If someone is playing a computer in a dorm, when you try to use yours you get that option, but thats it.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 01:47:09
I don't seem to be able to do that on UNI dorms either. Should i do it on a specific way or place?
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 01:24:24
Just community lots, the one with the cyber specifficaly.. Let me test at UNI.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 01:20:55
Nope, that option isn't showing up, and i do have Uni.  You've all been really kind but i'm starting to think there is no solution for this one.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 01:06:01
That doesn't seem to be working neither.  They even sit in front of the pc..and do nothing. Guess they just want a chair because they don't find anything else to do.
Of course, the reason is they wont interact with the pc. This is killing me
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 00:59:30
Ah thats what yo umeant  Cheesy Sorry about that, you don't want to know what i was thinking Tongue
Now i'm intrigued by what Lil brudder meant O_o
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 00:55:08
And how do i do that?
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 00:46:59
But...you shouldn't be able to run a community business with base game only...
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 00:36:53
A mod would be great for this then  Roll Eyes
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Cybercafé not possible then? on: 2006 March 06, 00:03:31
When i heard that you would be able to charge customer per hour in your business i was very happy! Cheesy I would be able to open a cybercafé, which i think its pretty cool Cheesy Well...guess what? Its not exactly working right.
I bought like a dozen computers for my lot but seems like customers don't really want to use them! They prefer to chat between them or dance on the radio (which of course, isn't enough so they leave inmediatly). I though they would find them fun because of the games but nope...
Am i doing something wrong?  Huh Its kind of dissapointing
