I can has deformed toddlers, too! Absent-minded-face! It also shows the MAJOR pixelation going on in my game, the shadows look really blocky... I have a ATI Radeon X800 XT, and I think this card is really old and crappy. It keeps on overheating and restarting my PC, which sucks donkey balls. Super creepy: Ghost baby/larva/Tarako! He's called Torgar and he is Agnes Crumplebottom's and Erik Darling's son...

I've got a bug, methinks. Someone already mentioned this problem before, but I couldn't find the respective post. (Yes, I did search.)
So perhaps someone already knows a workaround for this one: My children won't get the traits I selected for them on age-up (toddler to children). When you click on the trait, are you then clicking on the "up" button to move it into the box with the traits? At fiirst I thought all one had to do was highlight the trait, but that wasn't the case. Yes, I made sure the third trait was on the list, using the arrows. It bugs me A LOT that it isn't working.

So perhaps someone already knows a workaround for this one: My children won't get the traits I selected for them on age-up (toddler to children). I'll probably have to point out that I've turned aging and story processing off and am keeping track of time via spread-sheet. As soon as someone in my household is due for birthday, I age him/her up using the birthday cake or by forced age transtition (with testing cheats enabled). So, I get to pick a third trait for my children (because my sims are mostly wuvly parents), but it is never displayed nor are the children showing any appropriate behaviour. I haven't tested this with teens so far, but it worked as intended on birth. Only toddler to child birthdays seem borked. Any tips, pretty please?
Fake Edit: There is a tutorial. I remember getting angry about fitting some random couch into a already stuffed house because the tutorial told me to, despite the fact that the family already owned a fuckin' couch!

Whew! I just found out that I still had a copy of the Freetime .iso lingering around on my PC. So I'll try un-/reinstalling just like you recommended, witch. Thanks for answering! edit: It's not working. Same thing is happening with Bon Voyage now. Well, I don't really feel like uninstalling all of my Sims games now, so I'll just wait and see if someone's got another idea. I'll try not to panic, but watch my SPORE torrent advance with incredible speed. Says it will be done in 4 days. Another edit just to say my game's fine now. I had to go as far as to reinstall/repair/whatever Windows, which took me about an hour, but at least the game is working now. Sorry for bothering you!

TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Game crashes on start-up... problem with kernel32.dll?

Hi there! First of all, I have to admit that I'm totally nervous about starting a new topic here (because I'm not a native speaker, so I'm sure that I'll sound very stupid... feel free to P&L), but I think I've got a major problem with my game. I have all EPs + SPs up to AL (some bought, some arred). I wanted to fire up my game today, but after clicking the "play" button in the launcher, it didn't do anything (dropped right out of the queue, checked it with task manager). So I thought: "Meh. Those damn .cache files again..." I deleted them, but that didn't help. Next, I tried opening Body Shop, but as soon as I clicked on the button, it threw this nifty little "The application has crashed & will now terminate" error. So I rushed over to my "The Sims" folder and as I wasn't feeling like wading through all of my downloads again (my downloads folder is relatively new, no tight pants there!), I just moved the whole sims folder to my alternative hard drive. Didn't help. So I checked out my logs, and the respective one said something about an access violation with "Exception module: C:\WINDOWS\system32\kernel32.dll". I guess that's pretty bad. I additionally made the mistake of uninstalling AL, but I forgot that I had deleted my iso, so I had to arr it again, and of course the same thing is now happening with my Freetime EP: Game doesn't start (I also tried starting directly from the exe, not using the launcher), Body Shop throws error. When I mount the AL iso and try to install, it throws an error and closes the installer. I don't think that my problem's got something to do with graphic/sound, as the game had always been running alright with my current setup, and there was a time when I had about 9 GB in my downloads folder and it didn't matter. Well, apart from never ending loading times. Is there anyone out there who feels like helping me, please?

I've got a problem with your userStartup file... I've copied everything in it into mine and saved it (I made sure it had the .cheat ending), but when I started up my game, my "usual" startup cheats didn't work anymore (cars on right, testing cheats etc.)! I don't know why they are conflicting, so could s.o. please have a look into it? Thanks very much in advance! (I only put it in a rar for uploading, it's a .cheat file in my game)

Srsly, when did you ever have a restaurant meal in real life that was sparkly and fresh? Besides, what Liz said is right. "Normal" food in a restaurant is enough to fulfill all hunger needs, at least in my game.

TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Did FT kill CAS tooltips?

That's happening for me, too. No tooltips at all in CAS. I really think FreeTime killed them. Jsalemi, I think the OP is talking about the "normal" tooltips you get every time you hover over the pics in CAS, not the special ones (like filenames and age groups and whatnot). I know that my post doesn't really help, but I wanted to second that the tooltips don't show up...
