In sims 2 and 3 the relationships were ordered in such a fashion that it was easy to see who was better friends with my sims, not only did they remove the numeric value of this they also just tossed all aquantances in there randomly.., would be nice to be able to sort who of the aquantances is more towards being a friend than another at first glance.

Can anyone tell me if relationships are the same as in 3 or back to being two-sided? You know, being able to like someone while they hate you or vice versa?
Same as in Sims 3 unfortunately . How i wish they would implement that and genetics from sims 2. Edit: I stand corrected, apparently they DO exist. I just hadn't noticed it.

No townie respawn.. Somehow EA thinks it's funny to spam my neighborhoods with elderly single folk and it's driving me insane. I delete them before and after each play session. I already have a pretty big batch (around 100) of regular townies that i do want. Please help me with this investation.

You must be doing something wrong then because I've run V:tM under both XP and Vista without any problems. Vista did have problems at the start but it's stable enough now. I've been running it for about 18 months without problems. I am thinking of ungrading to W7 but I've no real complaints except the memory hogging (lots of RAMz helps).
Well, it's great that you can install VtmR on both Xp and Vista without having to jump through any hoops whatsoever and i seem to lack the brains to install a game straight out of a box.., anyways i'm still happy that win7 does all these things without me having to do anything fancy to get it to run in the first place..which is what i want from a system in the end.

I am talking about Redemption and not Bloodlines.
Theres a whole lot of people on the Planet Vampire forums that have the same issues that just resolve it by running 2 operating systems, one of those being windows 98.

If you buy a new PC you'll get Windows 7, which is basically Vista with some cosmetic changes. Now, i don't want to pretend i know a whole lot about operating systems, but, i can tell you that after running the beta for windows 7 for a few months it's not "vista with some cosmetic changes". I can run just about any game i want on this without any problems that vista has, ever. Heck, i could even install and play Vampire the masquerade redemption without any problems, and that's something that i haven't managed to do under Vista, Xp or win2000...

My native language is Russian and I am telling you: NO apples. Not on telly or in books or in everyday slang (where I used to live anyway). [/quote]
I'm from Holland which is pretty darn small in comparison to Russia and has way more dialects then i claim to know.., i'm sure Russia has even more dialects to choose from.

I think I remember reading something about this not too long ago. I'll see if I can find that discussion. EDIT: Found it, buried in this thread. Thank you for finding this. My idea was to let mr. Romero come to the home of the dearly departed, make him selectable, grab the tombstone, kick him out, go to his lot and let him put the tombstone at the correct subneighborhood graveyard. Hopefully it will not be a problem for the gravestone to move from the main hood to downtown (in the inventory of Romero) and then back to the main hood again. I really prefer just 1 guy managing all the neighborhoods graveyards and not have a few of these graveyard tenders running around.

#1, I've made from a bunch of CAS templates different elfs and am making them pregnant with eachother to make more different ones (all have blond or red hair and recessive eyecolours). But i have deceided against actually playing them in my hood (because i cant really get attached to 9 families that all have like 10 kids..). So instead i'd like to age them all down to toddler and let the social worker take them. That way whenever a family adopts they'll get an elf kid.
Will aging them down and letting them be taken away sufficiently break all relations and will it remove other junk or will i break my game in the long run by doing this?
#2, I'd like their ears to be dominant, if a father and mother have dominant ears (or either), will the kid also have dominant ears or will it be randomized at birth?
#3, After reading somewhere (prolly here) about graveyards and that i'ts best to have a graveyard owned by a sim to easier place the tombstones and stuff, i've made a graveyard owner (mr. George A. Romano is his name). He lives in the Downtown area, will it be a problem if he owned graveyards in the regular hood and shopping districts also? I don't want to move my tombstones between subhoods if i can help it. So will i have to make owners for the graveyards that live in the same subhood the graveyard is located or will mr. Romero do?

As you can see: where are the Jocks? It's even worse, the Bohemians as pictured there turn out to be the Jocks, making the Bohemians the actual missing group. Inge's teleporter cat works alot better for social groups and can also make tourists.

I've made a bunch of socialite townies with the townie/npc maker and was adjusting them by making them selectable with Inge's Cat. When i upgrade them to pre-FT i'm not able to give them their 2nd aspiration or assign the other points. They do get 5 points but the box to assign with is greyed out. Any way to get around this?

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV Locals from backup as 'newly spawned' in new custom hoods empty template

Her question is how can she use these custom BV locals as templates in future custom neighbourhoods without going through the steps you describe whenever she makes a custom hood.
I'd like to know how my custom BV locals could be made into templates for A001, M001, & T001, so that I can bypass those tedious steps.
Correct, and kind of glad to find out that i'm not the only one that does not know this =).

Title bit longwindy, but i really hate the cliffhanger topics like: how can i...?
I have for a previous planned custom hood (that i never actually came around to playing) made a nice batch of asian, tropical and nordern vacation locals. I'm planning to make a new custom hood with all the empty templates and i don't mind making new townies, downtownies etc..but i would really like to use the custom locals i already made.
I know the information is somewhere floating on Maty as i do remember i've read it before, but i can't find it back for the life of me. How do i manage in letting these locals be spawned in every future vacation neighborhood?
I've tried to rename the file (they were called G663 etc) to A001 or M002 and T003 etc (looked in simpe if it was an asian or nordern and changed the name to reflect this, nr 1 through 12), and plopping them in the c/program files/tsdata/neighborhood template/characters folder (while replacing the neighborhood template by the empty one) and making a new test neighborhood to test this with.
So far theyre not showing up, i have at this moment no hacks in my game yet as i'm waiting for all the updates for Apartment Life.
Pls if someone can point me in the right direction or has any clue what i'm doing wrong it's appreciated.

Does ring a bell with me. The way i made it to work for me eventually was: Click Jewelry, then suggested alternate bin list then in the lower tab Normal and Left Earring (for instance), now the number in the custom bin sets to 50, remember this number and press save. After this slide the slider to the 2nd package item (usually 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 if the jewelry is for ya, a and elder female only).
Repeat progress and make sure to fill in the 50, it kept resetting to another number with me making it not show up in cas. Save after each modification. When you have done all files on the slider then press update.
Now if i could only get those hairfiles to stick to the custom bins..(blonde with pink is custom to me, not blonde)
(Edited for grammar)
